Chapter 137: Chapter 24 Uncle Sun, Pretend to Be My Boyfriend
Sun Dasheng smiled, supporting her buttocks with one hand and lifting her high into the air. He did it as easily as lifting a child, showing no signs of having just engaged in intense activity.
"Alright, I know you’re strong. Put me down now," Wu Xiaoli said, patting his chest.
He didn’t tease her any longer and set her down. After dressing in the dark, he returned to the living room.
The first thing he did upon returning was to peek into his mother’s room. Thankfully, it was quiet and the door was shut tight. If her mother had seen what just happened, she would have been too embarrassed to face anyone.
I don’t know where I found such courage just now, agreeing to his request in there... It was absurd. Wu Xiaoli’s face burned at the thought.
By the time she had composed herself, Sun Dasheng was back in the living room, grabbing his coat from the rack.
"I have something to do tonight, so I’ll be leaving now."
Wu Xiaoli silently watched him go, not saying a word. She knew he had other women waiting for him to satisfy them. Still, the fact that he came to her first after returning from his hometown made her heart fill with joy.
「Villa.」
It was past eight o’clock when Sun Dasheng got back, but the two women had already prepared a meal and were waiting for him to come home to eat.
Although he had eaten in the afternoon, the bout of exercise had consumed a lot of energy, and his stomach was starting to growl again. Faced with the delicious feast the two women had prepared, he dug in heartily.
After the meal, he watched TV with them for a bit. Then, they ’played a game’ for a while. Afterwards, they all went to their respective bedrooms to sleep.
Her face glowing, Jiang Ziyan was just getting ready for bed when Xiang Yiren barged in.
"Sister Yiren, is something the matter?" she asked.
Xiang Yiren crawled under her covers. "Tonight, let’s sleep together, just the two of us."
Although Jiang Ziyan found it a bit strange, she didn’t refuse. After all, they often slept in the same bed.
Since they were in a villa community, everything was silent once they lay down.
"Zi Yan, are you asleep?" a voice suddenly whispered in the room.
"Not yet, Sister Yiren," Jiang Ziyan replied. She had actually been on the verge of sleep; after all, that man had thoroughly worn her out just a short while ago.
"You’re also thinking about what happened, aren’t you?" Xiang Yiren asked.
Huh? What am I supposed to be thinking about? I have no idea.
"Sister Yiren, what’s wrong?" Jiang Ziyan decided to just ask directly. Guessing was too much trouble.
Her question made Xiang Yiren realize that the girl’s simple mind wasn’t pondering the issue at all. So, she said, "Did you feel like Brother Sun was a little off tonight?"
"Huh? Was he? I didn’t notice," Jiang Ziyan exclaimed, easily startled as usual. Fortunately, Xiang Yiren was used to it.
She turned on her side, hugging Jiang Ziyan. "Usually, he’s so vigorous he doesn’t stop until we’re about to fall apart. But tonight, he wrapped things up so hastily. You really didn’t notice anything?"
"Ah! You mean... our rivals have arrived?" Jiang Ziyan whispered, covering her mouth with her hand.
Xiang Yiren tapped her on the forehead. "So you’re not completely clueless, then. Before coming here, he obviously went to ’favor’ another woman. Otherwise, with his stamina, there’s no way it would have ended so quickly. Didn’t you notice that today was the easiest time we’ve ever had?"
Jiang Ziyan finally caught on.
Hey! It seems like Sister Yiren is right. Although my body felt really good and comfortable today, it really wasn’t his usual performance. Normally, the beginning is comfortable, and the middle is a mix of pain and pleasure. But by the end, it’s just unbearable. There’s no enjoyment left, just a desperate wish for it to be over.
"Sister Yiren, you’re right!" Jiang Ziyan confirmed, a sudden sense of crisis dawning on her. "So, what should we do?"
This was precisely why Xiang Yiren had come to her. She couldn’t face this alone, could she? The whole point of being partners was to stand together and fend off external threats.
"Don’t panic. People make mistakes when they’re anxious, and mistakes can be exploited. We need to meet any changes by remaining constant. But first, we must raise our guard and not let anyone else make the first move," Xiang Yiren soothed her.
Okay, so she talked for a while but didn’t really say anything. Pure fluff.
That’s what Jiang Ziyan thought, but she couldn’t say it out loud. She just nodded in agreement. "I understand, Sister Yiren."
In reality, she had no idea what she now "understood."
Xiang Yiren smiled, satisfied. In truth, she didn’t know who their rivals were, where they were, or how many there were. She couldn’t formulate any sort of plan. All she could do for now was to strengthen her own fences and prepare their defenses. It was best to meet all changes by remaining constant.
「The next day.」
For once, Sun Dasheng was up early and went out for a run. He had discovered that his upgraded body still required a certain level of exercise to maintain its condition. Otherwise, his physical fitness would slowly decline. Although the decline was much slower than for an average person, it was still an unwelcome prospect.
He had decided the company would resume work after the Lantern Festival, so he had a few days in Shanghai City to let loose and have fun.
The greenways in the villa community were very well-maintained. In the early morning, several elderly gentlemen were out for a jog. The young people these days stayed up late, so you naturally wouldn’t see them running at dawn.
Upon encountering Sun Dasheng, the new resident, the old gentlemen all greeted him warmly. When they learned his house was the large villa in the very center of the community, their enthusiasm grew even stronger. Upon hearing he was single, they all started trying to introduce him to their relatives.
"My daughter is thirty-eight, but she takes after her mother—a real beauty, as pretty as a flower," one of the old men declared.
The others immediately called him out. "Think your daughter is some movie star? ’Pretty as a flower’ at thirty-eight?"
