Chapter 153: Chapter 29 Brother Sun, Can You Give Me a Baby? _2
It looks a bit plain.
"Are there any surplus funds in the internet cafe’s account? Let’s renovate this place."
Sun Dasheng sat in the boss’s chair, issuing commands.
Standing behind him and massaging his shoulders, Wu Xiaoli objected, "The internet cafe isn’t doing well. Our monthly income doesn’t even cover expenses, so where would we find the spare money for renovations? I think this place is fine as it is. There’s no need for extravagant spending."
Sun Dasheng pulled the beautiful woman from behind him into his embrace.
"What are you doing? This is the office! Someone could walk in at any moment."
Sitting in his lap, Wu Xiaoli gently tapped him with her fist. She didn’t use much force; to him, it felt more like a tickle.
He caught her hand, gently caressing it in his large palm. A blush crept up her ears.
This man just loves to tease her in the strangest places.
"So what if someone comes in? We’re not doing anything indecent. It’s not illegal for a boyfriend and girlfriend to be affectionate. Let them be jealous."
Sun Dasheng teased his delicate darling.
If he weren’t so set against remarrying, her personality would make her the most suitable wife.
"Today was your first day. Are you settling in okay?" After teasing her for a while, he finally got down to business.
"Everything’s fine." She tucked a strand of hair behind her ear. "With you, the big boss, personally here to back me up, everyone below me is on their best behavior."
Is that what she thinks? To be honest, he hadn’t thought that far ahead. He just felt it was time to drop by for a look. It seems to have had an unexpected benefit, saving her a lot of trouble. Not bad at all.
"Brother Sun, I looked through the company’s old ledgers. Before your acquisition, it was constantly operating at a loss. Why would you buy a company with no future? I’ve heard everyone say that internet cafes are a sunset industry and no longer profitable."
Oh? It seems she did quite a bit of homework over the New Year. She’s taking her first job very seriously. If she ever found out that he’d put her in charge of this company just to run it into the ground... wouldn’t she be heartbroken? Fortunately, her research gave her some insight, but only a little.
"Don’t listen to the nonsense online," Sun Dasheng said, easily duping her with a few words. "In this world, no matter the industry, it’s always the top twenty percent who make money while the bottom eighty percent lose it.
"Making a profit or loss has less to do with the industry itself and more to do with the people managing the company. If the management is capable, the company will naturally be profitable. If not, of course, it will only lose money."
Hearing this, Wu Xiaoli felt the weight of responsibility settle heavily on her shoulders. The pressure mounted.
A message appeared from the system.

"Brother Sun, do you think a housewife like me can really do a good job?" she asked, her confidence wavering again.
This kind of emotion was perfectly normal. After all, she had been detached from society for a long time. She became a housewife right after graduating from college, so stepping back into the workforce—and as a general manager, no less—naturally left her feeling insecure. She was worried she would mess things up.
Sun Dasheng held her in his arms and planted a fierce kiss on her. My sweet little ATM.
Then he consoled her, "Haven’t you seen on the news? The world is run by a bunch of amateurs. Plenty of company leaders are just useless hacks, yet their companies run just fine.
"At least you’re self-aware. If there’s something you can’t handle, delegate it to the people under you. They may have lower salaries and positions, but most of them are quite competent. If someone does their job well, you can promote them accordingly and make them your confidant. They’ll become indispensable."
Sun Dasheng was teaching her earnestly, and Wu Xiaoli listened with rapt attention, nodding continuously.
After discussing matters and spending some tender moments together, it was time for him to leave. As Sun Dasheng started to get up, Wu Xiaoli grabbed his arm.
"Brother Sun, my mom made soup today. Do you have time to come over tonight?"
Judging by that longing look in her eyes, tonight’s invitation was for more than just soup.
"Sure. I’ll head over after I wrap things up at the company."
Sun Dasheng gave her a firm answer. Delighted, she gave him a quick peck on the lips before pulling away and dashing out of the room in a shy fit.
"This is your office. What are you running from?" Sun Dasheng chuckled, watching her retreating figure.
「Back at the headquarters.」
He handled a few things there. By the time the sky grew dark, he closed up for the day and drove to Wu Xiaoli’s home.
The door was opened by an enthusiastic Mother Wu, who was wearing an apron. She handed him a pair of slippers and warmly welcomed him inside, making him feel almost like her own son.
"Xiaoli told me you’ve been overworked and tired with company matters lately," she said. "I made some nourishing soup for you. Why don’t you go chat with Xiaoli on the sofa? The soup will be ready in a moment." The busy Mother Wu then turned and bustled back into the kitchen.
Sun Dasheng walked in just as Wu Xiaoli came out of her room, having changed into some casual clothes. The high ponytail she wore during the day was let down, her hair now cascading over her shoulders. A white turtleneck sweater was stretched taut over her ample chest, paired with a black miniskirt. She had swapped her usual black stockings for a pair of rarely seen white ones, making her look several years younger.
"Brother Sun, you’re here?" she said with a smile, throwing herself into his arms like a swallow returning to its nest. Though it had only been half a day, it felt like a lifetime.
The two of them snuggled on the sofa, watching a drama. Before long, dinner was ready and served. A large tureen of soup sat in the center of the dining table. It smelled quite fragrant.
"Auntie, what kind of soup is this?" Sun Dasheng asked curiously.
"It’s a pork kidney soup with goji berries and longan," Mother Wu said with a smile as she ladled some into a bowl for him. "I got the recipe from a neighbor. She said she often makes it for her son-in-law, and the effects are wonderful."
He glanced at Wu Xiaoli, who was trying to stifle her laughter beside him. Did you spread rumors about me to your mother? My body is perfectly fine. Do I really need this to ’strengthen’ me?
Still, one couldn’t refuse a gift from an elder. He took the bowl and drank it all in one go. Seeing the woman beside him still holding back her laughter, he shot her a dark glare. Little vixen, just you wait for the family discipline tonight.
After dinner, his body felt a little warm. Could the soup actually be working?
After the dishes were cleared, Mother Wu announced she was going for a walk in the neighborhood, clearly to give the young couple some space.
Facing the man’s demonic claws, Wu Xiaoli cried out for help.
"HEH HEH HEH... Go on, scream," he growled. "Even if you scream your throat raw, no one is coming to save you tonight."
In the end, the woman fell prey to his wicked hands. Her clothes were thrown everywhere, and the white stockings she had just put on were torn to shreds. The sofa in the living room and the bed in the bedroom took a real beating, their lifespans surely reduced by ten years.
Finally, the woman lay on top of him, drenched in fragrant sweat.
"I never should have provoked a menace like you," she said weakly.
Her buttocks were then covered by a pair of large hands. "Still want to spread rumors about me? Who was it that said I was unwell? Who said my body was weak and needed strengthening?"
"Ow! That hurts! Your hands are like iron vises! You’re hurting me!" Wu Xiaoli slapped at his hand, trying to get him to let go.
Instead, he captured her wrists, crossing them behind her back so she was powerless to struggle. With one hand pinning both of hers, his free hand began to spank her bottom.
Wu Xiaoli didn’t dare act tough any longer and began to beg for mercy. "Brother Sun, let me go! I’ll never do it again!"
"Have you learned your lesson?" Sun Dasheng asked between swats.
"Yes, I have! I was wrong!" Wu Xiaoli was on the verge of tears.
Once her hands were free, she wrapped her arms around his neck, acting cute. "I just missed you, that’s all. I was afraid you wouldn’t come, so I came up with that little trick. Can you forgive me?"
She nuzzled against his chest like a little piglet.
"Alright, you did something wrong, and you’ve been punished," Sun Dasheng said, stroking her smooth back and her silky, satin-like hair. "Just don’t do it again, okay?"
He wasn’t actually angry with her. It was only natural for a woman to miss her man. Still, she needed to be taught a lesson. This kind of behavior couldn’t be encouraged. Otherwise, with so many women in his life, if they all started pulling the same stunts, how would he ever keep up?
They lay together tenderly on the bed for a while longer before Wu Xiaoli suddenly asked, "Brother Sun, can you give me a baby?"
