Chapter 130: Chapter 21 Are You Out of Your Mind? To Offend President Sun?_4
Si Ruoqi pushed her suitcase, standing forlornly in front of him.
Her swan-like neck was exceptionally fair, its luster almost dazzling.
Beneath her neck, the deep-set collarbones added a touch of sensuality.
"Yes," she nodded. "Can I catch a ride in your car?"
"I won’t ride for free," she added. "I’ve been driving for ten years and I’m a skilled driver. I can trade off with you on the highway."
"Alright, put your suitcase in the trunk." Sun Dasheng opened it for her.
After stowing her luggage, she settled into the front passenger seat.
Seeing this, Sun Dacheng wisely arranged for the other women to ride in his car.
Si Ruoqi hadn’t been exaggerating. Her driving skills were genuinely impressive. After some time on the highway, they stopped at a service area, and she took the wheel.
Seeing her skills were clearly solid, he closed his eyes and dozed off.
Because they had to wait for the others, they had gotten a late start, and it looked like they would have to drive through the night.
"Wake up." Sun Dasheng was roused by the person next to him.
"What’s wrong? Time to switch?" he asked, rubbing his eyes. "Alright, I’ll take over."
Si Ruoqi, still in the driver’s seat, gestured for him to look ahead.
"We’re stuck in traffic. It’s been almost an hour," she explained. "Apparently, there was an accident up ahead. A sudden snowstorm iced over the road. What do we do now?"
"Where are we?" Sun Dasheng asked, ignoring her question for a moment.
"We just left Hui Province and entered Su Province," she replied.
"Where’s the nearest exit?"
"It’s close. Less than three kilometers from here," Si Ruoqi said.
Sun Dasheng nodded. "Let’s get off the highway. It’s getting late, so we should find a place to sleep. We’ll get back on the road tomorrow. Safety first."
He then called Sun Dacheng. Who would have thought the kid would try to show off by speeding? He was now over a hundred kilometers ahead of them, stuck fast in the traffic jam and not moving an inch.
"You’ve got a lot of people in your car, so make sure you’re safe," Sun Dasheng instructed. "We brought plenty of New Year goods and local specialties. If anyone gets hungry, just pass them out."
He hung up.
"That kid... he’s a real handful," he muttered. "Driving with you is much more reassuring."
Si Ruoqi just smiled without saying a word.
After exiting the highway, they found the nearby hotels were all packed. Many of the guests were people like them, stuck by the traffic jam and forced to find a place to rest for the night.
With no other choice, Sun Dasheng resorted to his ultimate technique: throwing cash at the problem. As the old saying goes, money talks. As soon as he offered to pay extra, the hotel manager’s tune changed completely.
With a beaming smile, he said, "We do have one top-tier suite. It’s usually reserved for the owner’s inspection visits and isn’t open to the public. But since you’re so sincere, Mr. Sun, I can call the owner and see if I can get his approval for you to use it."
"You still need to ask?" Sun Dasheng asked, his patience wearing thin after the long search. "I’ll pay triple the price. That settles it, right? No application needed."
"No, no, no application needed!" the manager said hastily. "A guest as sincere as you, Mr. Sun... I’m sure the owner would understand the need to be flexible in an emergency."
The manager quickly turned to a receptionist. "Little Lian, what are you waiting for? Take our guests to their room." He then added in a lower voice, "It’s the owner’s room on the top floor, the one further inside. Don’t take them to the wrong one."
"Got it, Manager," the receptionist replied. She then smiled at Sun Dasheng and Si Ruoqi. "Please, follow me."
Paying extra on the spot was annoying, but the room itself was impressive. The manager hadn’t lied; a three-star hotel could never have decor of this quality. The suite, specially reserved for the owner, could rival one in a five-star hotel. It was worth the price.
He tossed their things onto the living room couch and announced, "I’m taking a shower first. You can go after."
Sun Dasheng wasn’t one for pleasantries; the concept of ’ladies first’ didn’t exist in his world.
After driving for so long, he felt sticky all over and desperately needed a good wash.
Watching this unconventional man, Si Ruoqi found him refreshing rather than offensive.
The hiss and patter of the shower began.
Si Ruoqi glanced over, and her cool composure was instantly shattered by a deep blush.
Through the bathroom’s transparent glass, she could clearly see his explosive physique. Above, his pecs were well-developed. Below, he had a symmetrical eight-pack. And even further down... well, that was an R-rated sight.
