Chapter 203: Chapter 54 Sun Dasheng: Yu Qing, would it be good for Teacher Ding to become sisters with you?_2

"So you were still being all lovey-dovey with her," Ding Muchen pouted.

"I thought someone was still mad at me and wouldn’t want to come," Sun Dasheng said softly.

"That’s just what you think. I’m not as petty as you believe," Ding Muchen retorted, clearly unhappy.

"Alright, alright, it’s all my fault. I misjudged you," Sun Dasheng quickly admitted. He then took her hand, ready to lead her into the crowd.

But she held him back. "That little schemer secretly intercepted my task of accompanying you. What’s done is done, and if I go out now, it will only make things awkward."

Sun Dasheng gently tweaked her pert nose. "I didn’t expect you to still be thinking of me at a time like this."

"It’s fine, don’t worry. They can’t push me around," he assured her, leading her out.

Liu Qianqian was the first to see them. Her expression soured instantly.

The other leaders naturally noticed the disturbance, but none of them stepped forward to say anything. After exchanging glances, they reached a silent consensus: Let him be. This was someone they couldn’t afford to offend—not just because of his money, but also because of his solid connections.

"Thank you," Ding Muchen said, feeling overjoyed. Clutching his arm, she felt a sense of security for the first time, the feeling that he would defy the world for her sake.

If Sun Dasheng knew what she was thinking, he would probably want to die. Defy the world for you? I’d rather just drop dead.

It was strange. She had been annoyed when he’d taken small liberties with her before. Now, she was willingly clinging to him, letting him take advantage. Could a change of heart happen so quickly? Even she found it a bit unbelievable.

"Muchen, you’re here?" Liu Qianqian, still clinging to a sliver of hope, walked over.

"Oh, it’s Qianqian!" Ding Muchen said enthusiastically, tightening her grip on the man’s arm. "I was tied up with something earlier. Thanks for keeping President Sun company for me."

Her words struck Liu Qianqian like a bullet between the eyes. Forcing a smile, she struggled to control her expression. "We’re good sisters. It’s only normal to help each other out. No need for thanks."

Feeling the soft, full mounds pressing against his arm, Sun Dasheng wanted to say to Liu Qianqian: Thanks a lot! Without her assist, he never would have won this beauty over so quickly.

Sometimes, relationships really do need a little push; otherwise, who knows how long it would take for things to work out.

"I heard President Sun owns several media companies involved in short videos, mini-dramas, and live-stream e-commerce. I was wondering if you might have a suitable position for me," Liu Qianqian suddenly said, changing the subject to work.

"Oh?" Sun Dasheng looked at her in surprise. "Isn’t being a teacher a good job? Why are you thinking of switching?"

Liu Qianqian feigned a sigh. "Teaching is stable, but the salary is fixed and low. If I want to buy nice clothes or makeup, I have to pinch every penny. It’s nothing like you, President Sun. The cost of your outfit alone is more than I’d make in a lifetime of teaching."

This girl certainly knew how to flatter someone. Sun Dasheng just laughed heartily and said nothing.

"I’d be happy just to be an influencer at your company. I heard that your influencers make over a million a year," Liu Qianqian pressed on, unwilling to give up.

"You must have heard wrong. Influencers earning a million a year are a minority at our company. Most of them make about the same as a teacher," Sun Dasheng replied, politely turning her down.

Ding Muchen chimed in to help. "Liu Qianqian, stop daydreaming. It’s not easy to make it to the top in that industry. Don’t assume you’ll succeed just because you’re pretty. Which influencer isn’t good-looking? The ones who make the big money are still just a small few."

"Muchen’s right. The teaching profession is still a good gig. Don’t throw away a watermelon to pick up a sesame seed," Sun Dasheng added.

With that, he put his arm around Ding Muchen and led her away, leaving Liu Qianqian standing there with a dark expression.

Hmph! So you start lecturing me now that you’ve latched onto someone powerful? You’re no different from me. If you were really content to be a teacher, why would you be scrambling to climb to a higher branch?

"What’s wrong, Qianqian?" A male teacher from their school, one of Liu Qianqian’s loyal bootlickers, approached her. He called himself a sunny, cheerful guy, but his "warmth" ranked somewhere behind a dog’s.

"None of your business!" Liu Qianqian snapped, ignoring him completely before stalking away, her heels clicking loudly on the floor.

「The banquet concluded.」

Inside the Rolls-Royce, Sun Dasheng, having just received a message from Sun Dacheng, was talking to Ding Muchen about business.

"Our company plans to accept fifty interns from your school."

"Really?" Ding Muchen was ecstatic.

"Would I lie to you?" Sun Dasheng said with a touch of exasperation.

Ding Muchen hugged his arm obediently. "I don’t doubt you, it’s just that the number is staggering! Our school only has a few hundred graduates each year. Your company is single-handedly fulfilling a tenth of our employment quota. The leadership is going to be thrilled!"

Sun Dasheng reached out to stroke her head. She flinched instinctively before relaxing and letting him caress her hair.

"If the leadership is happy, will you get any reward?"

"Of course. I’ll definitely be on the list for the year-end excellence awards," Ding Muchen replied, showing she was quite career-minded.

"That’s good. If you don’t receive an award this year, then our company won’t be coming for campus recruitment next year," he teased.

Even though she knew he was just saying it to please her, she was still delighted. It meant this man cared for her and valued her highly.

"Are you going home tonight?" Sun Dasheng whispered in her ear.
