Chapter 202: Chapter 54 Sun Dasheng: Yu Qing, would it be good for Teacher Ding to become sisters with you?

Ding Muchen’s face was a picture of shock, her eyes seeming to ask, "How did you know?"

Sun Dasheng gently touched her beautiful cheek. "You forgot. Before the New Year, I picked a few students from your class for a short play, and they were two of them." As he spoke, he started to point ahead, but Ding Muchen stopped his hand.

Her eyes were full of pleading. "Don’t! Don’t let them see us."

While those in the front row couldn’t see the back row clearly, people in the back had a perfect view of the front. So, in truth, the young couple up ahead hadn’t noticed any of their movements. But Ding Muchen had a guilty conscience and was terrified of being recognized by her students.

"Then give me a kiss," Sun Dasheng said, stating his condition.

Ding Muchen glared at him through clenched teeth, but he was unmoved.

SMACK! She gave him a fleeting peck, light as a dragonfly skimming water, and pulled back instantly.

"That doesn’t count," Sun Dasheng played the rogue. "I barely had time to react, and you were already done?"

Speechless, Ding Muchen closed her eyes and leaned in to kiss his cheek again. This time, however, her lips landed right on his.

"Mmph..."

Another breathtaking kiss.

Afterward, Ding Muchen rushed to the changing room in the staff office to change out of her damp underwear.

"Teacher Ding, you’re changing so early?" a voice called from outside. The changing room was shared by all the female teachers.

After she was done, she hurried out.

"Yes, there’s a banquet tonight, and the administration asked me to attend," she said, using a prepared excuse.

Another teacher looked at her with envy. "If I were as beautiful as you, Teacher Ding, I’d want to go too. I heard a lot of big bosses from media companies are coming today."

Ding Muchen just gave an awkward smile, said nothing, and left.

The teacher’s tone changed the moment she was gone. "Vixen," she spat to a nearby colleague, her voice dripping with envy and jealousy. "All dressed up like that. Who knows which big boss she’s trying to seduce."

The colleague leaned in, her voice low and gossipy. "I heard a ’tall, rich, and handsome’ type is here today. Our Teacher Ding has high standards. She wouldn’t look twice at any old boss, so she’s probably going after him."

"Oh, really? Which wealthy family is he from?"

The term "tall, rich, and handsome" was almost always synonymous with the heirs of wealthy families; it was rare to hear it used for someone self-made.

"No, I heard he’s first-generation! He built his own company and is apparently tall and handsome on top of it. A true diamond bachelor."

Hearing this, the first teacher grew even more irritated. A calculating look entered her eyes. "No way. We can’t let that vixen get her way. I’m going to tell Qianqian about this."

Her colleague slapped her thigh in excitement. "That’s right! Our school has two great beauties. We can’t let Ding Muchen hog the spotlight. There’s still Liu Qianqian!"

The teacher hurried off to make the call.

Her colleague’s eyes gleamed behind her glasses. There’s going to be a good show tonight.

「Seven o’clock.」

The banquet began at Xuefu Family Banquet, a restaurant near the school. It wasn’t a traditional Chinese feast but a Western-style buffet held on the second floor, the entirety of which had been booked by the extravagant school.

When Sun Dasheng arrived, he scanned the room, but there was no sign of Ding Muchen. Instead, he was greeted by an unfamiliar woman. She was tall and graceful, with features so striking she almost looked to be of mixed heritage, and her eyes were a startling blue.

"President Sun, hello. Allow me to introduce myself. I am Liu Qianqian, your ’guide’ for the evening."

"Oh? And what exactly is a ’guide’?" Sun Dasheng asked curiously.

She giggled. "It simply means I’ll be accompanying you for the entire night, making sure you feel at home and have a wonderful time eating, drinking, and enjoying yourself." With a confident air, Liu Qianqian looped her arm through his and led him inside.

"What about Teacher Ding, the one who was my host during the day?" Sun Dasheng asked, not seeing her anywhere.

Is she still mad at me from before? Is that why she won’t come see me?

When he mentioned Ding Muchen, a flicker of annoyance crossed Liu Qianqian’s face, but she hid it so well he didn’t notice.

With an easy laugh, she said, "Perhaps Teacher Ding had something to attend to. Let’s not talk about her. President Sun, with such a beautiful woman right here in front of you, why would you even mention another?" Her flirtatiousness was perfectly calibrated—not too much, not too little.

This woman is clever, Sun Dasheng thought. She’s far more experienced than an emotional novice like Ding Muchen.

"Alright, alright. We won’t talk about her," Sun Dasheng agreed, taking a glass of wine from a passing waiter and clinking it against hers.

Halfway through the banquet, he thought he spotted a familiar back. After telling Liu Qianqian he was heading to the restroom, he followed the figure to a corner of the banquet hall and caught up.

It was Ding Muchen. She was wearing a black evening gown and high heels, her hair exquisitely styled to complement the dress, making her look absolutely radiant. Yet, this radiant beauty also looked somewhat forlorn.

"Why are you hiding over here by yourself?"

Just as she was wallowing in her feelings, a familiar voice sounded in her ear.

She looked up, a flicker of surprise in her eyes that she quickly masked with a cold expression. "Shouldn’t you be with your Liu Qianqian? What are you doing here looking for me?"

The next second, he wrapped his arm around her waist.

Panic flashed in her eyes.

"What’s this? Are you jealous?" he teased.

His playful tone only made her more annoyed. She began hammering his chest with her small fists. "Who’s jealous of you? And who do you think you are to me, anyway?"

Despite her words, the hurt expression on her face didn’t fade in the slightest.

"Alright, alright," he said, catching her fists in his large hand. He gently wiped a tear from the corner of her eye. "I know you were wronged, but I didn’t know what was happening at first either. I thought you would be the one accompanying me tonight. I was just as surprised when a stranger showed up instead."
