Gods Vanish on a Cloudy Day

Chapter 1 Volume One Summary (Volume One Ending Updated, This Chapter is Optional)

The Prologue is actually just an introduction, essentially belonging to the first volume. It's only separated because the setting changes.

I said that I wanted to challenge myself with the new book and write a slightly different story from another perspective. Although it seems inevitable that some science fiction elements have appeared, I think it should still be within a normal range...right?

When I first saw the Spiritual Qi Revival theme, I found it very interesting. However, the points I focus on may be different. I was thinking about the changes in society and people, as well as some details of daily life, after the emergence of various extraordinary powers in a 'similar' modern 'alternate' (emphasis) setting. Every time I wanted to see it, I couldn't find any relevant plots, so I wanted to write something myself.

As a result, I wrote too much.

The first volume is relatively slow-paced, mainly telling the story of how Su Zhou encountered an accident, made a pact with Yala, became a true Transcendent, solved the difficulties of his friends, and gradually became a Demon Hunter, gradually firming his determination.

Most importantly, I have my own idea about the meaning of the Spiritual Qi Revival plot point.

But this plot was protracted, and I didn't write it well. I have to admit this.

Not only was I urged by the editor several times to push the plot forward, but when I wrote it myself, I also found that there was too much daily life content, which could be slowly written in later volumes... But it shouldn't be too bad, after all, the results of this book are much better than the same period of the previous book, which makes me very motivated. I don't have that much perfectionism, and I won't collapse if I find that I'm not writing well.

Let's correct it slowly. I'm used to writing books like this.

The shortcomings summarized in this volume are 'too much explanation of settings, too much repeated information, and too slow pace' (which is completely opposite to the shortcomings of *Burning Steel Soul*, 'the pace is too fast, the setting is finished and the fight starts, it's tiring to read', it seems a bit overcorrected), and it seems that many readers can't accept a 'not very normal protagonist'.

I clearly thought that the superpower + little crazy tag was quite obvious.

Su Zhou's personality is obviously not chuunibyou (eighth-grade syndrome). At least chuunibyou has a self-righteousness, thinking that the world revolves around them... Su Zhou is very self-aware. At most, he's just really a little crazy. His logic is different from normal people, which is quite easy to understand.

In short, thank you for reading. The story of the second volume is more exciting—if it's not exciting, it will flop.

And thank you to all the book friends who gave rewards, you are great, 5555!

The first chapter of the second volume will be updated at dawn.

The following is nonsense about the world structure setting.

===Some nonsense written after the end-of-volume感言, you can skip it if you are not interested, you can skip it if you are not interested, you can skip it if you are not interested, I have said it three or four times, don't say I'm long-winded if you read it===

Although I wrote it in the previous text, I still want to say it: Yala, this kind of great existence, and many snake gods, have a corresponding relationship. Those snake gods are independent existences, but they all reflect some aspects of him. Other things are similar.

The great existences want to break free from the seal, and the transcendent existences and gods of the human civilization circle are preventing their revival—they are not subordinate relationships, but opposing relationships. The Order Array was established for this reason to eliminate most of the devils.

The Immortals and Gods in this article (because of many reasons you all know, they will not actually appear) are different from all other books. They don't need faith, they don't need exploitation, they live very positively and happily. If I see any discussions about some realistic related prohibited topics, I will delete them—this is the *Gods Vanish on a Cloudy Day* worldview.

By the way, the sentence in the Prologue 'Evil has revived, Good has revived, Chaos has revived, and Order has revived' is not empty talk.

With extraordinary power, any evil thing can happen. Facing Transcendent, ordinary people are actually very powerless, and they don't even know that they have been cursed or attacked, and can only passively endure it. They are powerless in the face of the malice of Transcendent.

But similarly, with extraordinary power, any good thing can happen—any high-level Transcendent can give a blessing to benefit a block, heal all the hidden wounds of everyone, and even do so without refusal. Ordinary people are also 'powerless' in the face of this kindness.

Of course, some people will feel that doing evil and creating chaos can obtain benefits, while doing good and maintaining order is just pure giving, so you can't compare them like that.

But this idea is just an illusion.

Doing evil also requires paying power to hurt others. The benefits they obtain are essentially no different from the benefits obtained by the Order side through paying power to work. It's just that this benefit is more dangerous, breaks the order of the public, and also encounters backlash.

Why does the benefit of doing evil and creating chaos feel like a lot? It's just because the evildoer has crossed the constraints brought by the 'law', and this benefit is obtained by attacking those who cannot resist and carrying out oppression.

But this efficiency is not even as good as slavery. Any benefit obtained by Transcendent leading construction and production, that is, 'Order' methods, is far more than it.

The former is a zero-sum game, while the latter is making the cake bigger.

Since this is the case, why does this illusion arise? I think it's just because robbery sounds more refreshing, and it's freely disposable, unlike Order, which requires division of labor and wages, and may even be exploited by the superiors—to be honest, this chaotic evil pleasure is also part of human nature, but the larger part of human nature is order.

There's no need to deny this. Even the order obtained through laws, morality, ethics, or national control is created by humans themselves, a system built for more efficient production and greater benefits. People who want to refute this can put down their phones. I know some African friends, and they are very good at the law of the jungle... No, even Africa has chiefs. What should I do? The tribal system is actually one of the earliest forms of the modern order system.

Then should we return to the ancient ape era?

The following is an explanation of some settings—Evil has revived, Good has revived, Chaos has revived, and Order has revived.

Pure chaotic and evil behavior can gain power through the Abyss and the evil of human nature, while pure good deeds can also gain power through merit and holy light.

In a world without extraordinary power, a good person donating money to help disaster victims and build a Hope Primary School may just be a waste of money, only gaining peace of mind and praise, but in a world with extraordinary power—at least here, he can directly obtain merit (provided that it is really his own money and he has actually helped), holy light, luck, or even the blessing of the ancestral spirit veins or even the power of the beliefs of those being helped, and the effect is immediate, as decisive and neat as an evil person killing and seizing treasures, but there are no sequelae, I won't argue if you disagree.

Of course, evildoers naturally have their own means to obtain power. I never deny the evil of human nature, and I think everyone is familiar with those means, so I don't need to say more.

In fact, I also believe that these means of doing good, the power and system that support order, whether it is merit or holy light, the protection of ancestral spirits or the favor of luck, should also be known, but when Spiritual Qi revives, why does no one think of them?

Extraordinary power never favors any side. Since humans are social animals and have been able to form such a huge civilization in a long period of time, then I will default that in the 'spiral of order and chaos', during the time that humans exist, 'order' has the advantage.

Precisely because in the extraordinary world, if the power of order is born, then its existence is far more stable than the present world, which has no conclusions and is completely chaotic—because order itself is a kind of power. A good person doing good can be stronger than doing evil.
