Chapter 1696: 835: Mo Han, the Mystery of His Origins?

Chapter 1696: Chapter 835: Mo Han, the Mystery of His Origins?

This is a desolate valley, with an ancient altar in the center.

“It seems we found it.” Luo Chen said in a deep voice.

As they approached the altar, they discovered it was covered in ancient runes.

These runes bore a striking resemblance to the black and white colors on the necklace.

“These runes seem to be summoning something.” Qing Shuang spoke softly.

Luo Chen nodded, stepping forward to place the necklace at the center of the altar.

Suddenly, the altar emitted a dazzling light, and a powerful wave of energy radiated from it.

“Be careful!” Luo Chen shouted.

They quickly retreated, watching as a vortex appeared at the altar’s center, seemingly hiding another world.

“It seems we have to enter this vortex.” Luo Chen said.

Qing Shuang and Mo Han nodded, aware this might be their only chance to uncover the secrets of the Blood Ghost Sect and resolve Mo Han’s mystery of origin.

Luo Chen stepped into the vortex first, with Qing Shuang and Mo Han following closely.

Inside the vortex, the three were pulled by a powerful force, as if crossing the boundaries of time and space.

When they opened their eyes again, they found themselves standing in a strange world.

The sky here was an unusual shade of purple, with a light mist surrounding them, and they stood on a platform made of black rocks.

“Where is this place?” Mo Han’s voice trembled slightly, clearly shaken by the scene.

Luo Chen and Qing Shuang were equally surprised but quickly regained their composure.

Luo Chen glanced around, trying to find some clues.

“It seems this altar and necklace not only hold clues to our origins but also connect to an unknown place.” Luo Chen said solemnly.

Qing Shuang nodded, beginning to observe the surroundings in search of a direction to advance.

“We should proceed cautiously; this place seems filled with unknown dangers.”

Mo Han gripped the necklace tightly, as if seeking some spiritual solace.

“I… I feel it, there’s something familiar about this place, as if I’ve been here before.”

Luo Chen and Qing Shuang exchanged a glance, understanding Mo Han’s words might mean they were closer to unravelling the mystery.

“Let’s look around, but don’t get separated.” Luo Chen suggested.

The three began exploring this mysterious world.

They found that the air was filled with a strange energy, seemingly capable of enhancing a cultivator’s spiritual power.

As they delved deeper, the surrounding mist thickened, and their vision became increasingly blurred.

“Be careful; the mist here seems to have a confounding effect.” Qing Shuang warned.

Luo Chen nodded, taking out a talisman paper, gently waving it to disperse some of the surrounding mist with a breeze.

“This should help us see a bit more clearly.” Luo Chen said.

They pressed on and soon discovered an ancient stone gate.

The gate was engraved with complex runes, remarkably similar to the ones on the necklace.

“Behind this gate might be the place we’re looking for.” Luo Chen said.

Mo Han stepped forward, gently pressing the necklace against the stone gate.

The stone gate emitted a low rumbling sound and slowly opened.

Behind the gate was a long passageway, with a faint glow at its end.

“Let’s go.” Luo Chen took the lead into the passage.

The walls of the passage were embedded with glowing gemstones, lighting their way.

As they advanced, the passage gradually widened and eventually led to a massive underground cavern.

In the center of the cavern was a large stone platform, with a transparent crystal ball resting on it.

Inside the crystal ball was a liquid-like substance, emitting a soft light.

“This is…” Qing Shuang said, surprised.

Mo Han stepped forward, reaching out to touch the crystal ball.

The crystal ball suddenly lit up, emitting a brilliant light that illuminated the entire cavern like daylight.

“This is…” Mo Han’s voice trembled slightly, “This is my memory, my past.”

Luo Chen and Qing Shuang stood quietly aside, knowing Mo Han was about to uncover the key to his origin mystery.

The crystal ball began to display a series of images, showing a woman handing a necklace to a baby.

That baby was Mo Han.

“That is my mother…” Mo Han’s voice was full of emotion.

The images continued to change, showing an ancient family, how Mo Han’s mother grew up in the family, and how she discovered the secret of the crystal ball by accident.

Finally, the image stopped at the moment when Mo Han’s mother handed him the necklace.

Her eyes were filled with determination and reluctance.

“My mother sent me away to protect me…” Mo Han’s voice choked slightly.

Luo Chen and Qing Shuang stepped forward, patting Mo Han’s shoulder to comfort him.

“Now you know the truth,” Luo Chen said. “Your mother wanted you to find this place, to uncover the mystery of your lineage.”

Mo Han nodded, his eyes glinting with determination.

“I will continue forward, not just for myself, but for my mother’s last wish.”

They decided to continue exploring the cave to see if there were other clues.

They found another passage at the end of the cavern leading upward, seemingly toward the surface.

“Let’s go up and take a look.” Luo Chen proposed.

They followed the passage upward and eventually emerged on the surface.

To their surprise, they found themselves in a hidden valley near the White Mist Mountain workshop.

“It seems this cave is connected to the White Mist Mountain workshop.” Qing Shuang said.

Luo Chen nodded, beginning to consider what this discovery meant for the Blood Ghost Sect.

“If the Blood Ghost Sect knows about this place, they might have been searching for this crystal ball all along.”

Mo Han clenched the necklace tightly, his gaze full of resolve.

“I won’t let them succeed; I must protect this secret.”

Luo Chen and Qing Shuang knew they had much to do.

They needed to report this discovery to the Alliance and protect Mo Han and the mysterious crystal ball.

“Let’s return to the Alliance Headquarters first and then plan our next move.” Luo Chen suggested.

The three started on their journey back to the Alliance Headquarters.

Along the way, Luo Chen and Qing Shuang helped Mo Han further enhance his cultivation and discussed how to deal with potential threats.

Back at the Alliance Headquarters, the atmosphere was heavy, the oppressive air almost tangible.

The elders gathered, worry evident on their faces, much like frost-bitten eggplants.

Luo Chen relayed the discovery at the White Mist Mountain workshop and the secret of the crystal ball, his voice low and powerful.

Qing Shuang added, “This place is connected to the White Mist Mountain workshop, and the Blood Ghost Sect might have long been eyeing this lucrative piece.”

Mo Han held the necklace firmly, his eyes full of determination: “I will never let them succeed; neither this crystal ball nor I will be touched by them!”

“We need to strengthen our defenses and also take the initiative to give the Blood Ghost Sect a taste of their own medicine.” An elder, after a moment of contemplation, was the first to break the silence.

“I suggest sending out a team to investigate the movements of the Blood Ghost Sect, preferably to uncover their secrets.” Another elder proposed.

Luo Chen volunteered, “I am willing to lead the team; I want to see what the Blood Ghost Sect is up to.”

Qing Shuang also stepped forward, “I’ll go too, just to stretch my bones.”

Mo Han wanted to participate but was stopped by Luo Chen: “You stay here, continue researching the crystal ball; there might be more clues. It’s more important than going out fighting with us.”

Though Mo Han was reluctant, he understood the rationale behind Luo Chen’s words, realizing his limited skills might only be a hindrance.

He nodded, “I will. You can rest assured.”

The Alliance quickly mobilized, like a well-oiled machine starting to operate.
