Poor Xi Xi

Chapter 457 Welcome, Three Great Demon Lords, Mr. Lan Qi

Chapter 1 A Unique Tranquility

At the Protoss Royal Magic Academy, nearing three in the afternoon, a unique tranquility settled over the main road on the north side of the campus.

Initially, traces of clear skies remained, and the ancient buildings appeared even more majestic bathed in the warm afternoon sun. However, as time passed, the sky gradually became covered by a layer of gray clouds.

In the campus's residential area, students almost always carried umbrellas when they went out. Even without looking at the sky, one could feel the freshness and moisture in the air. The trees and grass were anticipating the nourishment of the imminent rain.

Three faculty members walked along the campus road towards the Redmond Administration Building, their steps light, their conversation filled with the camaraderie of old friends reunited.

"I'm actually a little nervous. This is my first time meeting the new king since officially taking office."

Sinola clutched her chest, a hint of worry on her face.

She still maintained her tranquil and graceful demeanor. Her eyes were closed, as if immersed in her own world, but the aura she exuded could not be ignored.

Her black, long-sleeved silk dress swayed gently in the breeze, and her occasional words were soft.

Antanas had initially found her at her home.

After returning home to change her clothes, Antanas happily went door-to-door, dragging her siblings out to eat, chattering non-stop.

So, they spent the entire afternoon together.

Sinola and Pranai were both quiet by nature and didn't mind Antanas's chatter, listening intently to her.

They were indeed very interested in any topic related to the new king.

"It's okay, don't worry. I've seen the new king's true face. Although she is indeed very beautiful, she is still kind and approachable."

Antanas patted Sinola's shoulder and grinned.

Unlike Sinola, Antanas wore a leather vest, tight leather pants, and tall boots.

Of the three professors, she looked the least like a senior professor, and more like a lecturer who would be very close to the students.

Her firm steps carried a hint of playfulness, and her androgynous charm wove a unique rhythm in the sunlight and impending raindrops. Even in the rain, she would surely dance merrily.

Antanas knew that because the [Transformation: Human] spell had a 24-hour cooldown, the new king hadn't lifted the transformation on levels five and six of the Hellrom Prison. Only on level four had she shown her the true face of a demon.

"What's she like?"

Sinola asked curiously.

"Gray hair, blue eyes, very similar to Talia as I remember, but with a completely different aura."

Antanas explained.

"Uh."

Having not seen her for a century, Sinola couldn't recall Talia's exact appearance.

"That makes me feel better. I'll be sure to maintain proper etiquette when I meet the new king later."

Sinola was still worried that sparring with Antanas right after meeting her would leave a bad impression on the new king.

As a noble lady from a prestigious demon clan, Sinola cared a lot about her demeanor and the new king's opinion of her.

But hearing Antanas say that the new king remained gentle no matter what form she took, Sinola felt relieved. She would be sure to speak appropriately and behave elegantly in front of the new king later.

"..."

Walking behind Antanas and Sinola, Pranai listened to their conversation, his deep blue suit appearing especially subdued in the dim sunlight. His impeccable collar and cuffs revealed him to be a professor who valued detail and precision.

"You two, stop gossiping. We're almost at Redmond Hall. Be careful someone overhears."

The new king might not mind even if she knew they were talking about her, but Pranai didn't want the new king to think the three of them were being childish.

"Okay."

Antanas glanced back at Pranai and nodded, pouting.

Although Pranai's eyes were cold, giving people a sense of distance, his demeanor was polite, and his words revealed only respect and care for his sister and friends.

After the destruction of the demon race, their relationship had become much stronger than it had been a century ago.

Perhaps it was because they were among the last few remaining members of their clan who knew each other. If they didn't cherish each other, they would truly be alone in this world, and that would be true loneliness.

As Antanas, Sinola, and Pranai walked, the surrounding students occasionally cast curious glances at them.

First, they didn't seem to have seen professors with such outstanding temperaments in the school before, but judging by the style of their nameplates, they should all be newly appointed senior professors.

As their steps gradually approached the Redmond Administration Building, a brick structure inlaid with deep gray reliefs came into view.

The building exuded a dignified, ancient aura. The bricks and carvings were steeped in history, and the patterns on the reliefs were intricate and elaborate, engraving the glory of the Protoss Royal Magic Academy's scholarship and knowledge.

The three great demons used their work permits to pass through the building's spacious entrance and arrived in the lobby on the first floor.

The interior ceiling was more than ten meters high, and the lighting was soft and warm, sweeping away the gloom of the overcast weather outside.

In this spacious hall, they saw a figure standing in the distance, waiting for them.

It was a male student wearing the standard Protoss Royal Magic Academy uniform.

"Professors, this way, please. I will take you to meet the esteemed guest."

The flaxen-haired boy seemed to be a freshman, but his aura resembled that of a battle-hardened demon warrior.

His fair face possessed a somewhat morbid beauty, and his cold, deep black eyes were filled with the same gentleness as the king's.

In an instant, Antanas, Sinola, and Pranai felt as if they were seeing the leader of their demon army's special assassination unit's reconnaissance team from back in the day.

The three of them exchanged a brief look, unsure if this boy was one of their demon brethren disguised as a human.

Under the guide's lead, the three figures walked up the wide staircase.

"Student, where are you from?"

Pranai was quite curious about the other party's identity. He couldn't directly ask about his origins, so he asked rather tactfully.

"I am from a fallen noble family in the eastern part of the Protoss Empire, but now I have decided to marry into the Snowfield Province in the north. Because I received the grace and guidance of my teacher, I was reborn, so I want to do everything I can to repay him."

Xia answered.

Yesterday, he had come to the capital city of Hellrom with his fiancée, Lillis Chenston. Upon arriving at the Protoss Royal Magic Academy, he received a message from the headmaster, asking him to not only attend classes at the Protoss Royal Magic Academy, but also to work as an assistant in the Redmond Administration Building for a period of time. This work would also have corresponding credit points as a course.
