Chapter 358: Chapter 358: You Didn’t Sleep with Your Best Friend, Did You? (Part 2)

Aaron Warren watched those people who fled in a flash, his face twisted.

Damn it, they were just calling me Warren, and now when something actually happens and I need their help, they’re running away faster than each other!

And they still want me to promote them?

Dream on!

Aaron Warren cursed angrily in his heart and took a deep breath, trying to calm down.

Thinking it over, he realized there was nothing to worry or fear about.

He did reveal Raina North’s hiding place and encouraged reporters to expose her, but wasn’t this Raina’s well-deserved punishment?

Besides, Raina harmed him so badly, it’s just revenge, nothing to be criticized for, right?

Thinking like this, Aaron’s heart gradually settled.

As for his father being so angry, it must be because he was kicked out of The Veridian Institute of Medicine.

Raina North!

This is all Raina North’s fault!

Someday, he must make Raina pay a blood price!

...

Second-floor study.

As Aaron Warren just pushed the study’s door open, a ceramic cup whizzed through the air, flying towards him.

If he hadn’t dodged quickly, it would have smashed his head open.

Shaken, Aaron heard his father’s enraged voice: "Who told you to incite people at The Equinox Hotel! You don’t know what was caught on camera!"

Aaron was dazed from the scolding and said instinctively: "What else could it capture besides Raina North!"

"If only it had caught Raina North!" Master Warren roared.

"Didn’t it capture Raina North?" Aaron’s eyes clouded darkly: "That woman sure is lucky! Father, you don’t have to be angry. Even if Raina dodged today’s disaster, she won’t escape. As for the innocent caught up, that’s just bad luck, can’t blame us for that. You’ve got to be reasonable, right?"

"Reasonable? Are you saying I’m unreasonable? I’ll beat this ungrateful son of mine!" Master Warren furiously drew a feather duster and started hitting Aaron.

Aaron cried out in pain from the beating.

He wanted to run, but his injured back hindered his movement, leaving him no choice but to take the blows passively.

Unable to bear it, he boldly grabbed the feather duster and, with a furrowed brow, said: "Dad, what’s the matter with you? Can you speak properly? You’re making me think that the unlucky sap who took the fall for Raina was actually you!"

As he spoke, Aaron laughed, but his laughter gradually froze when he saw Master Warren glaring at him, eyes full of wrath.

His eyes widened, voice trembling: "Dad, no way, Dad, was it really you? Did you have a mistress behind Mom’s back?"

Master Warren, embarrassed and infuriated: "What do you mean I have a mistress! Your mother and I have been living separately for a while! I’m in my prime; can’t I have my own needs?"

Aaron’s face darkened at his father’s words, but he understood the state of his parents’ relationship, so he said: "If so, being exposed doesn’t matter, Mom won’t care. It’s just some gossip for a few days and then it’s over."

Master Warren retorted: "If only it were that simple!"

Aaron was taken aback, suspiciously looking at his father: "Dad, you’re not angry because you slept with Mom’s best friend, are you? If that’s the case, then it could be tricky!"

Master Warren said nothing; if it were only the best friend, it would have been easier to handle!

After all, such things are not uncommon!
