Chapter 537: Chapter 537: Preparing for the Next Escape (Part 1)
"Alliance Hierarch!"
Some members of The Celestial Alliance couldn’t help but shout out.
Lune’s gaze was locked on Raina North, but his expression turned completely cold, the icy aura around him causing the members of The Celestial Alliance, ready to rush forward and recognize Raina, to stop in their tracks.
"Hall Master, this is our Alliance Hierarch."
"No."
Lune’s voice was as cold as if it had been forged in ice: "He is an imposter."
Ever since the Alliance Hierarch left The Celestial Alliance, there had been no news. The Celestial Alliance had spent countless resources and manpower searching for her.
Lune had never participated in the search.
Because when Orion left, he had told Lune he was tired and wanted to leave The Umbral Zone to live a normal life.
At that time, he tried everything to make Orion stay, but in the end, Orion left anyway.
He was determined to leave.
How could someone who was so set on leaving and abandoning this place return?
Imposter?
The members of The Celestial Alliance were deeply disappointed. How could this not be the Alliance Hierarch? It looked so much like her.
Though her appearance had changed significantly over the years, such changes were normal.
"Hall Master, could you be mistaken?"
Lune couldn’t be bothered to argue with them, taking a step forward, his aura rising as he fiercely asked, "Who exactly are you!"
"Who am I?" Raina North raised an eyebrow: "Lune, you don’t even recognize me?"
"Ha, what a convincing act."
As he spoke, he launched an attack at Raina.
Unlike the elder’s rapid strike earlier, Lune’s attack seemed slow and gentle but was actually illusory.
In reality, his attack was as unstoppable as a collapsing mountain.
Raina became serious, realizing she might not make it out unscathed today.
Raina raised her hand, swiftly pointing her fingers out.
What appeared to be a light and effortless move neutralized Lune’s offensive.
Lune’s expression became increasingly grim, demanding sharply, "Tell me, who exactly are you? How do you know Orion’s techniques?"
Back then, due to Orion’s special circumstances, she hadn’t practiced martial arts from a young age, so many cultivation techniques in The Umbral Zone weren’t suitable for her. Many techniques and cultivation styles were her own creations.
Raina felt particularly helpless.
She never imagined she’d face the awkward situation of having to prove herself.
As she was feeling overwhelmed, a light laugh echoed nearby.
Raina turned her head, seeing Jonah Rivers leisurely watching the commotion from the wall of The Willows Family.
Raina instantly shouted angrily, "Get the hell down here right now."
Jonah Rivers was displeased: "You tell me to get down, and I will? No way. I’ll jump down myself."
With that, he leaped, landing on the ground as gracefully as a falling leaf.
Lune, seeing Jonah Rivers’s familiar attitude with Raina, asked, "Rivers, who is he?"
"You don’t recognize her?" Jonah Rivers said, "She’s Orion Rivers, the Alliance Hierarch of The Celestial Alliance, your very own Orion."
"But..." Lune couldn’t help but say, "Orion left, didn’t he?"
"Yes," Jonah Rivers said, "I found her and coaxed her back."
Raina: "..."
Though she had accepted this reality, hearing him speak about it so righteously still left her feeling somewhat frustrated.
Lune remained doubtful: "And Orion didn’t return to The Celestial Alliance?"
Jonah Rivers said lightly: "Maybe she’s preparing for her next escape."
Lune’s expression changed: "Orion, are you planning to leave again?"
