Amin was speaking without thinking, poking at A Rui's wounds.
Although he had provided the venue and later helped them erase the evidence, he seemed somewhat innocent compared to what they had done.
A Rui, standing before them, was the main culprit. If he hadn't been too proud to admit he was already smitten, and foolish enough to not realize his own feelings, that ghost wouldn't have come back for revenge.
If he were to put on a facade of resignation, it would likely be to atone with his own life. If he wished to atone, he could do so himself. Why drag them down with him?
He would not join him in this madness. After speaking his mind, he saw A Rui's face darken further. He couldn't be bothered with the man any longer and prepared to go back to fetch Yi Fei, to see if they could find a way out of this villa that felt like a prison.
A Rui leaned against the wall, slowly moving forward. Amin was right; this was primarily his fault. If Luo Sheng wanted his life, he would give it to her.
He couldn't implicate his friends any further. He had to inform them of Luo Sheng's appearance so they could be prepared and find a way to leave this place as soon as possible.
A Rui first knocked on Li Yi Ze's door, but there was no response. He then knocked on Yue Yue's door, and again, no response.
He kept knocking until he reached Lin Yan's door, and then someone answered.
When Lin Yan opened the door, she saw A Rui standing at the entrance, his body stained with blood.
"What happened to you? Where's the medicine box? I'll tend to your wounds," Lin Yan said, attempting to step outside.
"I'm fine, it's just a superficial wound."
"It's summer, wounds can get infected easily. You should still get it treated!"
"Really, it's not necessary. These are minor issues. There's something more important now that cannot be delayed."
"What is it?" Lin Yan frowned.
"There's a ghost in this villa, you must be careful," A Rui warned.
Lin Yan was actually unrelated to this matter. She was merely caught in this villa due to their involvement.
Although he felt terrible for Lin Yan, Luo Sheng was no longer listening to any explanations. He feared that if she got carried away with killing, she might even kill Lin Yan.
"A ghost? Don't tell me these injuries are from a ghost?" Lin Yan still looked disbelieving.
"That's right. I know you find it hard to believe, but it's better to be safe than sorry. The wounds on my body are the best proof.
You still need to be extra cautious. I need to go find A Ze and Yue Yue now to tell them about this."

"So why would they target you? Because you stood by and did nothing?"
"Lin Yan, it's better if you don't know. If you remain ignorant, there's still a sliver of hope for survival. If you know about this, you might have no way out," A Rui said enigmatically.
He then slowly moved downstairs. He had been lying on the floor for so long, and A Ze hadn't found him. They must not have gone upstairs. Were they staying downstairs all along?
Even An Min from upstairs had come down to investigate, so why hadn't they gone upstairs? Had something happened to them as well?
When he endured the pain in his body and walked down to the first floor, he didn't see Li Yi Ze or the others.
"A Ze, A Ze!" he called out to Li Yi Ze.
Lin Yan, hearing his shouts from upstairs, also came down to check the situation.
"They're not downstairs?" Lin Yan knew he hadn't found them as his calls grew more frantic.
"I haven't seen them," A Rui replied.
"Then where could they be? Don't tell me the surroundings are all sealed off, they definitely can't get out," Lin Yan also came down to help him search.
She knew exactly where the two of them were, but she couldn't reveal it directly, so she kept helping A Rui search.
"What's wrong? A Ze and the others are not here?" Amin, supporting Yi Fei, also appeared at the stairwell.
"Could they have found an escape route and run off? They're much smarter than you idiot," Amin said sarcastically.
Yi Fei's face was still very pale; it was evident she was forcing herself to get up.
Amin had briefly explained the situation to her, and she felt she had to leave this villa quickly.
If nothing else, she had a grievance with Luo Sheng. Her boyfriend had provided the venue, but she was the one who tricked Luo Sheng out.
She didn't think Luo Sheng would be magnanimous enough to let her off the hook, so she had to leave this place immediately.

Amin and Yi Fei then realized that Lin Yan was unaware of this matter.
"It seems there's another innocent person here. I wonder if you feel any guilt, Lan Rui, for implicating an innocent person in this matter," Amin taunted.
His mentality was somewhat broken now, and with no place to vent, he directly turned his attack on A Rui.
"I..." A Rui didn't know how to explain. "It would be better if Lin Yan didn't know about this. She probably wouldn't attack someone completely unaware."

"They're here!" A Rui quickly called out to the others.
"A Ze, is that you, A Ze? Are you alright? What's wrong with the elevator?"
"It's me and Yue Yue, A Rui. We don't know what happened, the elevator suddenly broke down. And the entire elevator wall is electrified, so we dare not touch it.
