悲殇的秋千

Chapter 259

"I already have a girlfriend! How many times do I have to tell you that?"

"Stop following me!"

"You're driving me to death here…"

By the time Wen Yang reached the classroom door, he was utterly exhausted.

He turned around to see the vampire girl, Nana, looking up at him, her crimson eyes filled with innocence and grievance, tears welling up.

Wen Yang had never seen such a clingy girl before.

He had thrown the harshest words at her, cursing and yelling, yet the girl remained unfazed and had followed him all the way from the hospital to the school.

Even though she looked like she was about to cry from his insults, she still kept tailing him relentlessly.

Helpless, Wen Yang’s frustration finally subsided a little.

Leaning tiredly against the wall outside the classroom, he asked, feeling a massive headache coming on, "Aren't you supposed to be in class?"

"I'm not going!" she replied.

"I really can't do anything about your androphobia. I'm not a doctor."

"But when I see you... it doesn't seem so scary anymore," Nana muttered, fiddling with the drawstrings on the sides of her hoodie.

Suddenly, Wen Yang reached out his hand toward her face, startling her into stumbling several steps backward in panic. She nearly fell to the ground, her heart pounding wildly as she stared at him in shock.

"See? You’re scared of me too," Wen Yang said.

"...But you are not as scary as the others," she mumbled.

Wen Yang’s right eyelid twitched. He grumbled, "What a weird freaking illness."

"Go see a therapist. Stop clinging to me."

Just as he finished speaking, Nana lit up with excitement and quickly moved closer, even trying to hug his arm.

You act like this and dare to claim to be scared of man!? Seriously?!

Wen Yang freaked out, shook her off, and stumbled two steps back. "What are you doing?! Don't touch me!"

With Ning Chu’s sharp senses and keen observation, if Nana even brushed against him, he'd probably be kicked out of the apartment tonight.

If he was lucky, he'd wake up next to an adorable little succubus.

But if not… he would be waking up next to two shirtless dudes.

"I’m telling you–! I have gynophobia! Don’t freaking touch me!"

Wen Yang actually swore for once, but it still didn't stop Nana from inching closer step by step.

When he was finally cornered against the wall, with nowhere left to run, a familiar voice called out from the stairs below.

Glancing down at the girl now mere inches from him, Wen Yang felt his scalp go numb. In desperation, he shouted, "Ning Chu! Help!"

Ning Chu, who had been chatting with Yan Xinya, turned pale at the cry for help and sprinted up the stairs two at a time.

Oh my god! What’s happening?!

Yan Xinya moved even faster than she did, darting up like a freed hunting dog.

After taking one look at the scene, she turned back anxiously and shouted, "Ning Chu! There’s a bad woman!"

"..."

Ning Chu quickly followed up the stairs and, guided by the "wolf girl," saw Wen Yang cornered by a petite, fair-skinned girl.

She had thought it was something serious~

Relieved, she then immediately grew tense again.

That bad woman is trying to steal my man!

Ning Chu's face darkened, and she marched over aggressively.

Her hair blew wildly in the wind, making her look like an enraged lion.

Nana turned to glance at her but said nothing.

Meanwhile, Wen Yang, growing more and more nervous, seized the opportunity to slip away from the corner.

"Let me explain—" he started.

His sudden movement made Ning Chu pause in surprise.

"She’s been clinging to me and wouldn’t let go. I really couldn’t help it," Wen Yang said hurriedly.

He was never good at dealing with women, especially ones who wouldn't leave him alone.

Thanks to Ning Chu training, although Wen Yang could now grit his teeth and yell a few words to drive people away, Nana was completely immune to it.

"Mm, got it," she said simply.

Ning Chu turned to look at Nana.

Unlike the other female supporting characters who were simply lusting after Wen Yang, this vampire girl seemed more intent on curing her androphobia, which made her cling even more persistently.

"Are you... his girlfriend?"

Nana asked curiously, eyeing Ning Chu, who was dressed in boy’s clothing.

"..."

Ning Chu instinctively wanted to nod but immediately realized that they were standing right at the classroom entrance.

Quite a few students were sneaking glances their way.

If she really nodded now, tomorrow news about her and Wen Yang "being in a relationship" would definitely dominate the school's forums.

She took a step forward and said, "Let’s find somewhere else to talk."

However, Nana’s gaze slid past her to look at Wen Yang standing behind her.

"I know a way to cure your illness," Ning Chu said, immediately drawing Nana’s attention back.

Her eyes lit up with hope, and she quickly nodded, "Where do we go?"

Ning Chu reached out and grabbed her wrist, pulling her toward the stairs.

But after only a few steps, Ning Chu suddenly warned her, "By the way, I’m a guy."

"!!!"

Nana's body trembled violently.

Her face went pale, and she started struggling frantically.

Caught off guard, Ning Chu was flung away, stumbling back two steps and bumping into Wen Yang, though it didn’t hurt.

That was good news.

In the story, she hadn’t given much detail about Nana’s androphobia.

It was simply a way to give a shy, introverted girl a reason to actively approach — and eventually seduce — the protagonist.

Such a setup was absolutely thrilling!

Clearly scared out of her mind, yet still forcing herself while under immense pressure to dive deeper into temptation!

At that moment, Ning Chu suddenly felt like she was looking at a reflection of herself...

She stood up from Wen Yang’s arms and looked at Nana, who had shrunk into a corner, clutching the wrist Ning Chu had grabbed, trembling pitifully.

"What do you think?" Wen Yang asked, curious.

"The hypnosis spray would fix her fear in no time~," Ning Chu said confidently.

"Oh, then—." Wen Yang suddenly understood.

Ning Chu cut him off, "But I left it at home."

Having gradually adapted to this world, she no longer suffered from the paranoia she’d had when she first turned into a girl.

And with Wen Yang’s constant protection, the hypnosis spray no longer felt essential.

She would carry it when she remembered, but when she didn’t, she couldn’t be bothered.

Ning Chu took a few steps forward, standing before Nana.

"Come with me at noon. I can cure you," she said.

Nana shrank even further into the corner, looking like a poor girl bullied by classmates, her big teary eyes filled with fear.

"I’m serious. Even if you don’t believe me, you should believe Wen Yang, right?"

Nana turned to look at Wen Yang, who nodded slightly at her.

"O-Okay then..."

"One condition," Ning Chu added. "Stop clinging to Wen Yang after that."

"Mm."

Just then, the bell rang for class.

Ning Chu breathed a sigh of relief.

If all went according to plan, this little side plot would wrap up by noon.

"Alright, let’s go back to class~" she said.

She turned and headed toward the classroom, and at the same time reminded Wen Yang:

"At noon, you go study in the library. Don’t come back to the rental house."

"Why?" Wen Yang asked.

Because the plot penalties were becoming harder and harder for her to resist...

If she's not careful, she might lose her self-control and would jump Wen Yang.

That was the last line she couldn't afford to cross!

That’s also the one thing she had feared ever since she crossed into this world...

After all, if she didn’t prepare everything correctly before doing it, she’d really break!
