Chapter 341 House Hunting Outside Campus

Arriving in the United States, I could finally breathe the air of freedom. This place is so appealing; even the air here is fresher than back home. Wang Yiding closed his eyes, an expression of ecstasy on his face.

Those present were accustomed to Wang Yiding's reactions. Zhang Tianxing frowned slightly. This kid was already fawning over things after just arriving abroad, clearly intending to stay here.

"Junior Zhang, you and your group came at an inopportune time. There are no dormitories left on campus now. You'll have to find off-campus housing."

Zhang Tianxing and his four companions exchanged glances. "Alright. Where can we find rental listings?"

Now that Zhang Tianxing had money, he wanted to find a convenient place. Wang Yiding snapped his fingers. "Leave the housing search to me. I have contacts here."

Hearing Wang Yiding's words, Senior Xu chuckled. It was best if he didn't have to help; he also wanted to see the strength of these five individuals.

Regardless of the time, survival meant sticking together. The more strong individuals in a team, the better. Strength always earned respect.

Upon hearing Wang Yiding, Ma Xiaoxiao stepped forward. "Thank you, Brother Wang. We're unfamiliar with this place, so having someone familiar will make things much easier."

Wang Yiding stared intently at Zhang Tianxing, hoping to see a look of supplication before he refused him.

To his surprise, Zhang Tianxing directly asked Senior Xu, "Which neighborhoods are close to our school? I'd like to take a look there."

Senior Xu was taken aback. Zhang Tianxing's intention was crystal clear: he wanted to rent an apartment in a neighborhood near the school. That was impossible.

To put it one way, these were prime "school district" properties, demanding exorbitant rents.

As Zhang Tianxing walked away, someone said to Wang Yiding, "Yiding, that Zhang Tianxing has some clout. The popular crayfish business booming in China recently? He's behind it. Zhang Tianxing is the president of the Crayfish Association and has some influence."

Hearing the senior's words, Wang Yiding's eyes lit up. He had tasted crayfish before, and the flavor was indeed excellent.

Since Zhang Tianxing was the president of the Crayfish Association, he could help him out. Then, crayfish could become popular nationwide.

"Alright, I understand. Thank you, senior, for telling me this."

My father always says I'm only interested in playing and never pay attention to family matters. Now that Zhang Tianxing has appeared before me, I can seize his businesses and make my father look at me with new eyes.

Being handsome is just outward appearance; without a prominent family background, it's all in vain.

Zhang Tianxing, you'll discover that everything you strive for, I had from birth. Choosing your parents is an art. You're destined to be an employee, so stop dreaming of becoming a boss.

Wang Yiding let out a cheerful laugh. At that moment, a voice came from the shadows, and an old man emerged.

"Young master, this Zhang Tianxing is not to be underestimated. The Chen family of Shengjing couldn't gain an advantage against him."

"What is the Chen family of Shengjing? They are merely a minor family attached to us. Can they be compared to our Ding family?" Wang Yiding said with displeasure. "Uncle Chen, everything is under control. Just watch."

Uncle Chen gently shook his head. Wang Yiding was good in many ways, but he tended to look down on others. However, this was determined by his family background. The younger generation from other families was not as good as Wang Yiding. Let Wang Yiding have his way; after all, he was there to clean up any mess. He was just a lucky kid.

"Uncle Chen, where are we staying?" Wang Yiding asked.

"We're staying in an apartment near the school. It's a villa belonging to one of our family's business partners. They heard Young Master Wang was coming and specially vacated the villa for us."

"I have complete trust in Uncle Chen's arrangements," Wang Yiding nodded with satisfaction. What he wanted now was to know where Zhang Tianxing was staying.

Zhang Tianxing arrived at the villa area and directly asked someone, "Hello, I'd like to inquire if there are any houses for rent or sale nearby?"

He wanted to see if anything was available for rent or sale, otherwise, he would just stay in a hotel.

While expenses were not an issue for Zhang Tianxing now, his ingrained sense of frugality couldn't be changed.

Zhang Tianxing hadn't developed the habit of spending money carelessly. In fact, Zhang Tianxing's current assets were more than enough for him to live without worry for the rest of his life.

As long as he didn't gamble or get swindled, money was just a number to him.

Zhang Tianxing still preferred the feeling of home and disliked staying in hotels for extended periods; they were just temporary accommodations in dire circumstances.

Chinese people generally find a place to settle when they arrive in a new location.

Seeing the environment in Boston, Zhang Tianxing thought to himself, why not buy a property here? Even if he returned to China, he could rent it out.

If he no longer wanted it, he could sell it. Having money was good; he could do whatever he wanted.

"Young man, you want to buy a house here? Do you know the prices here?" The foreigner, Jim, said, bewildered.

Was this Chinese kid crazy? This was a place where every inch of land was gold. The residents here were either academic elites, high-ranking officials, or wealthy tycoons. What was a Chinese kid doing here?

"I don't know the prices here, but I do know one thing: anything can be measured by its value," Zhang Tianxing said with a faint smile.

Hearing this, Old Jim looked at Zhang Tianxing a couple of times. The young man was handsome, but he wondered about his wallet.

"I haven't heard of any rentals, but Villa Number Seven up ahead is about to be put on the market because old Ryan is moving to New York. You should go take a look," Old Jim pointed Zhang Tianxing in a direction.

"Thank you!" Zhang Tianxing nodded with satisfaction and walked towards Villa Number Seven.

He soon arrived at Villa Number Seven and was pleased with the house. It was built in a Sino-European style, with a small courtyard and a pond. The place looked spacious, elegant, and gave off a pastoral atmosphere.

Zhang Tianxing knocked and entered. "Hello, I heard you have a property for sale. I'm here to view it."

Old Ryan and his wife were delighted to hear the voice. "Welcome! Let me show you around..."

Upon seeing Zhang Tianxing, the couple suddenly felt a sense of disappointment. He was too young, and he was Chinese. Could he afford to buy a house here?

It wasn't that the old Ryan couple looked down on Chinese people. Chinese people generally lived in Chinatown, where there were more of them. Here, without considerable wealth, Chinese people couldn't survive.

America was a very realistic place. It was impossible for this young upstart to make it on his own.
