Chapter 108: The Power of an A ranked Reaver!

Chapter 108

"Alright gents, your reckoning is here." A crimson haired female calmly said as she walked in like she owned the place.

Bang!

A thunderclap rang out and the next moment, a young lad zipped in, his hair fluttering wildly for a few seconds before it finally settled back down. He landed beside Lyra with a frown on his face.

"You can’t run in like that all by yourself. I was about to perform that entrance, damn it!" Vynn shouted.

"Excuse me! Who the hell are you guys and what do you want here?!" Dan asked with a scowl, his hands already sizzling with energy.

"We heard that the SilverFall Clan members were here, so we decided to come pay our respects." A booming voice resounded, and the next moment, Tom walked in with a wide grin plastered across his face.

"So what do you want? Why burst through the door like that? And how did you even find this place?" One of the men demanded, his anger flaring as he pulled out a sword from underneath the table he had been seated at.

"Easy with the questions, dude," another voice cut in as someone else walked inside.

It was Zen, and unlike the others, he didn’t look pleased in the slightest.

"If you waste all your questions on us right now, which ones will you save for your maker when I send you all to him?" Zen said coldly, tilting his head.

"Alright! That does it! Kill and dispose of them right now!" One of the men roared. In an instant, he yanked out a long spear from beneath his table and it lit up with a blinding yellow glow.

"Die!" The man howled, slamming the weapon down. A thunderous bang echoed as the bright energy shot toward the group with blistering speed.

"Alright kids," Lyra said as she stepped forward, cracking her knuckles with a grin stretching across her lips. "Let me show you all the power of an A ranked Reaver." She muttered the words darkly and punched the air in front of her.

Contrary to what Zen had expected—that a wave of force would burst outward like in one of those anime shows, what he saw instead was a sudden distortion. A jagged tear in space itself shimmered where her fist struck.

Pulling her hand back, she gripped the edge of that distortion and yanked out a huge shield, slamming it into the ground with a loud metallic ring. It was right on time because...

BANG!

The bright beam smashed into the shield with a deafening crash, but to Zen’s surprise, the massive shield didn’t even crack. Not even a scratch.

’Huh? Does she have an inventory or something? Doesn’t she have a Veil? Unless she’s a system user... would she even have access to inventory skills? Damn, I even forgot to ask Jace and the others if they had systems at all.’ Zen thought as his eyes narrowed warily at Lyra.

"AHHHHH!" Two of the men roared in unison, leaping toward the group. Hovering midair, their swords blazed alive, activating with their different Veils.

"Water Veil." A calm voice cut through the chaos from outside. "Flowing tide!"

SPLASH!

BANG!

A huge swirling torrent of crystal clear water whipped forward like a serpent, twirling violently as it coiled around the airborne men.

With a single crushing twist, it smashed into them with such force that their eyes rolled back. Both coughed out specks of blood mixed with saliva as their bodies were flung backward helplessly.

CRASH!

They slammed into the tables, shattering the wood into splinters and sending plates, mugs, and shards of glass clattering down in a noisy cascade.

"I just have one word to say to you all." Jace’s voice echoed coldly as he stepped through the broken doorway. The others instinctively made way for him, his figure framed in the entrance as he advanced.

’Look at him. Acting like the main character of some novel or anime. Tch!’ Zen scoffed inwardly.

"Drown!" Jace roared, his calm mask breaking as water surged violently around his body. In an instant, he shot forward with blistering speed, leaving the others behind as the room filled with a roaring tide.

’Ten, eleven, thirteen, fifteen, twenty, twenty-two, twenty-three, twenty-five.’ Zen counted inwardly and then sighed, shaking his head with a look of frustration. ’Twenty-five awakeneds? This is going to be tough. If this keeps dragging on, I might have to step in despite Jace’s warning.’

"Here I go!" Vynn shouted with a wide grin splitting across his face as he bolted forward, a loud thunderclap splitting the air in his wake.

In the blink of an eye, he appeared in front of two men who immediately swung their swords toward his neck. Without missing a beat, he leaned backwards with a cocky grin, causing the blades to skim past the tip of his nose.

"Lightning Veil: Thunder Flash." Vynn muttered, and with a sonic boom, his body exploded from the spot.

He moved like a blur, his speed so intense that the others couldn’t even track him. Instead of relying on his sword, he used only his hands.

Vynn would karate chop their necks with precision, and each strike sent his opponents crumpling to the ground unconscious.

Within a split second, a dozen men were down. Their bodies sprawled across the floor as Vynn finally skidded to a halt, smoke oozing from his feet while he stood tall with a big, satisfied grin.

Meanwhile, Jace was surrounded by three men who thought they had the upper hand.

"Do you know what I hate aside from this world?" Jace asked in a calm yet venomous tone, gripping his sword tighter. His teeth ground together, the sound audible in the tension-filled air.

"Do you think we care?" one of the men shot back with a sneer, and without hesitation, he lunged forward.

Sword in hand, he swung it hard, the blade engulfed in a massive gust of wind. With a roar, he thrust it forward, the sheer force causing a loud bang to erupt across the shack.

"Water Veil." Jace mumbled coldly under his breath. His grip tightened, and in the same instant, he spun mid-air, unleashing the technique with devastating force.

"Wheel of Death."

A massive wheel of water materialized, spinning violently before erupting outward. The men barely had time to register what was happening before the technique slammed into one of them, shredding through his body and severing limbs in an instant.

Jace landed smoothly, his boots splashing lightly against the blood-soaked floor as the dismembered parts fell with sickening thuds. The remaining men stared wide-eyed, their confidence drained as blood oozed from their fallen comrade’s stumps.

’Something feels off here. These guys are far too weak for us. Maybe they’re too weak for me especially, now that I’ve advanced to a B ranked Reaver. But where is their boss? Even with all this noise, he hasn’t shown himself yet. Why is he hiding?’ Jace thought, his brows furrowing deeper as more men recklessly dashed toward him.
