Chapter 18 He Is My Husband

Mo Bin was acutely aware of his illness. It wasn't just a common venereal disease, but the dreaded AIDS. For anyone, no matter how wealthy, contracting such an illness was tantamount to a death sentence.

What could be more important to someone facing death than the hope of survival? Li Qianfan had offered him that hope, only to cruelly snatch it away! Mo Bin was on the verge of collapse.

He certainly wouldn't lie down and die—

He decided to kidnap Li Qianfan and force him to treat him. If Li Qianfan refused, Mo Bin would ensure he died in a manner uniquely his own. As for the question of who would guarantee the well-being of Elder Mo after Li Qianfan's death, Mo Bin wouldn't give it much thought. He was about to die; why the hell should he care about that old man anymore!?

The scarred man's surname was Bu, and his given name was Fan. Bu Fan was not from Qingyun; he hailed from Qingshui City in a neighboring prefecture. Mo Bin dared not use anyone from Qingyun for his kidnapping operation. If he showed even the slightest hint of such an intention, Mo Hongti would find out immediately. Li Qianfan was their assurance that Elder Mo would have a peaceful old age. Anyone who dared to touch him would face Mo Hongti's wrath.

"Young Master Mo, are you sure this Li Qianfan is just an ordinary person?" Bu Fan asked, holding the bank card. "You absolutely must not hold anything back. If the kidnapping fails, I really can't guarantee my brothers will keep their mouths shut."

"I'll stake my life on it. He's incredibly skilled in medicine, but he has very little combat ability." Mo Bin said this with a dismissive smile.

"That's good enough." Bu Fan nodded. "I'll look for an opportunity tomorrow. Once I've got him, I'll take him out of Qingyun. I'll call you then."

Mo Bin waved his hand, signaling Bu Fan to leave. After Bu Fan departed, Mo Bin turned off the room lights, took out his phone, and opened a picture. The photo showed a woman in a tight red dress, but only her back. Looking at her curvaceous figure, Mo Bin's Adam's apple bobbed uncontrollably, his breathing growing heavy.

"Little Aunt—" He held his phone high with his right hand, and with his left, he began to impatiently, hoarsely whisper, "Hongti darling, I'm going to plant my seed in you!"

Daybreak arrived. Li Qianfan, having enjoyed a refreshing night's sleep, yawned as he walked towards the bathroom and glanced at the baseball bat by the cabinet. He remembered his black-belt wife's appearance last night, wielding the baseball bat by the bed, gritting her teeth and gesturing fiercely but not daring to strike. The memory amused him. If he hadn't seen it with his own eyes, Li Qianfan would never have believed that Su Ziyu, who was so cold and distant in public, could have such an endearing side.

Around ten o'clock. Li Qianfan drove his mini-car out of the residential compound at a leisurely pace. During breakfast, he had already arranged with Old Su to start working at the clothing factory in three days. For these three days, Li Qianfan's main task was to familiarize himself with the environment (which meant sightseeing). He decided to head to the southern mountain area for a wander today. Ning Xiaolan had even prepared water, beef jerky, and bread for him. She had even packed a hammock, in case her beloved son-in-law got tired from his travels and had to sleep in his small car.

"My mother-in-law dotes on me, and my wife is obedient. Tsk tsk, this current life is so much better than marrying that shrew from the Shen family." Li Qianfan whistled as he drove through the intersection.

As the mini-car turned left, a taxi followed close behind. In the back seat of the taxi sat a girl wearing a black tracksuit, a black baseball cap with the brim pulled low, and a large black mask covering her face. The taxi driver glanced at her in the rearview mirror and made small talk, "Miss, that young man in the mini-car, is he your boyfriend?"

"No," Su Ziyu replied coldly, thinking to herself, "He's my husband."

"Oh," the talkative taxi driver nodded. "So, he's your younger brother then."

"Who would want a brother like that?" Su Ziyu blurted out. "If he were truly my brother, I'd beat him at least eight times every day. Unlike now, where I don't even dare to lay a finger on him."

"The young man without a beard is neither your boyfriend nor your brother. Yet you're secretly tailing him. You're clearly afraid he'll do something bad." The taxi driver had a flash of insight. "Oh, I get it! He's your son!"

Su Ziyu suddenly felt like spitting blood.

"Madam," the taxi driver changed his address to Su Ziyu. "You're forty at most, right? You've kept your figure so well, you don't look like you've ever had children."

*Slap!* A red banknote landed on the steering wheel. Su Ziyu gritted her teeth and asked, "Can you please shut up?"

The taxi driver immediately fell silent. His hands gripped the steering wheel, his eyes fixed ahead, locked onto the small mini-car tens of meters in front. Li Qianfan glanced at the rearview mirror again. He couldn't be sure yet if this taxi was tailing him. Logically, it shouldn't be. In Qingyun, apart from the Mo family, he had no other "enemies." However, if it were someone from the Mo family, they wouldn't be taking a taxi. Yet, this taxi looked very much like it was following him.

"If my mother found out I couldn't even tell if a car was tailing me, would she beat me to death?" Thinking this, Li Qianfan suddenly accelerated. Relying on his car's small size, he illegally swerved to the right of a semi-trailer truck, almost scraping the guardrail, and overtook it rapidly. He pushed the mini-car's speed to ninety miles per hour. The small car felt like it was swaying back and forth, but he didn't slow down, overtaking several semi-trailers in succession on the right. After passing these vehicles, Li Qianfan looked back again. From a distance, he could see the dark blue taxi repeatedly trying to overtake sedans in the inner lane, attempting to catch up.

"As expected, they're tailing me." Li Qianfan gave a faint cold smile. Ahead, there was a fork in the road. Without hesitation, Li Qianfan turned on his turn signal and drove onto the diverging path. This road led to a free scenic spot. The road was lined with lush trees on both sides, and a river flowed on the left. The scenery was quite beautiful. However, as it wasn't the weekend and it was nearing noon, there were very few cars on the road.

After driving a few hundred meters, Li Qianfan looked back again. As expected! The blue taxi had also turned onto this road.

"Who exactly are you?" Li Qianfan muttered to himself as he saw two more cars turn onto the road. The two cars quickly overtook the taxi and suddenly accelerated, roaring towards him.

"Damn it, these two cars seem to be after me too." Li Qianfan frowned slightly and then spotted a small dirt road on the right, leading into the woods. The road was only about two meters wide, with grass growing along its edges.

"This is the place." Li Qianfan turned the steering wheel, and the mini-car drove onto the dirt road. The road was flanked by poplar trees. Only cicadas chirped in the woods; not a soul was in sight. It was indeed a good place to get things done. He drove about two hundred meters down the road when the two cars also turned in.

"Finally, a chance to stretch my muscles." Li Qianfan pulled his car to the side and rotated his head. *Crack, crackle.* His cervical spine, shoulder blades, and other joints made light cracking sounds. The two cars stopped about ten meters away, one after the other. Four men wearing large masks over their faces got out of the first car. They were all holding steel pipes.

"Could these be people sent by that idiot Mo Bin?" Li Qianfan suddenly had a thought. The four men slowly approached. One of them said coldly to Li Qianfan, who had just gotten out of his car, "Brother, you need to come with us. Don't resist, or you won't get your straight cucumbers to eat."

Li Qianfan: "Please leave a five-star review, dear!"
