Sensing the strange power fluctuations, Chen Yang felt a touch of surprise. He hadn't expected to encounter such extraordinary individuals in this rustic, pastoral town far from the bustling world.
After a moment of contemplation, Chen Yang turned to Liu Ran and asked, "Wife, is there anything peculiar about this town? It feels a bit unsafe."
Liu Ran shook her head. "I'm not sure. I'll ask Luna about it."
She then turned to Luna and inquired about Murfley Town.
Luna proudly stated, "Don't let Murfley Town's simple lifestyle fool you. Many important figures have emerged from this town. Strangers are generally not allowed to reside here long-term; only those fortunate enough to be invited can settle in. Being invited by this town is considered an honor."
"However, besides its extremely beautiful environment and its disinclination towards outsiders, there isn't much else special about Murfley Town!"
Jodo, who was driving, smugly said to Liu Ran, "Miss Liu, rest assured. With me here, I will definitely help you accomplish what you've come to Murfley Town for this time."
"I am a renowned private detective in the Kingdom of Sava, with high authority."
As he spoke, Jodo slammed on the brakes, stopping in front of the only police station in Murfley Town, the Security Post.
They got out of the car and the four of them walked into the Security Post.
The Security Post was equivalent to a police station.
It had a small staff, rooted in the town.
The personnel there were called inspectors.
Chen Yang suddenly stopped, pulling Liu Ran back. His eyes held a hint of disbelief.
Chen Yang distinctly felt seven or eight incredibly bizarre power fluctuations within the Security Post. This meant that everyone inside was not an ordinary person.
Just then, with a "boom," a loud motorcycle roared outside. The vehicle stopped, and then two very burly inspectors strode into the building.
These two men also contained strange power fluctuations within them.
Chen Yang was quite surprised. Liu Ran looked at him curiously and asked, "Chen Yang, what's wrong?"
Chen Yang shook his head. "Liu Ran, something is not right here. Don't wander off; stay close to me."
Liu Ran chuckled at his words. "Don't worry, Chen Yang. They are all official police officers; they won't cause trouble. Besides, look, Jodo seems to have a good relationship with them."
Jodo had already walked over, intercepted the two men, and produced his private detective identification. Upon seeing Jodo's credentials, the two men nodded politely in response.
Jodo turned and saw Chen Yang's apprehensive posture. He couldn't help but burst into laughter. "Wow, Miss Liu, I think you should find a braver boyfriend. Your current boyfriend is not only thin but also too timid. No one in the Kingdom of Sava would fancy a man like that!"
Luna beside him also laughed and added, "He is indeed a bit timid. But I've heard that men from China are very hardworking, so perhaps Mr. Chen has other strengths."
Chen Yang paid no mind to Jodo and Luna's taunts. His brows furrowed. At this moment, Chen Yang suddenly felt that their trip to the Kingdom of Sava to find Kachi might not go smoothly.
The four of them arrived at the scenic spot, where a man named Breg stood to welcome them.
Jodo directly addressed Breg. "Hello, we need to discuss some matters with Mr. Kachi. He received an invitation from your Murfley Town a week ago and became a resident here. However, we can no longer contact him. Therefore, Mr. Breg, please inform us of Kachi's current address."
Breg pretended to sit at the computer. He checked and then shook his head at Jodo. "I'm sorry, Mr. Jodo. We did indeed invite Kachi to reside in town, but he left on his first day here. He was probably dissatisfied with our town's environment. So, we don't know where he is now."
Jodo's brow immediately furrowed. He asked Breg, "How is that possible? Kachi expressed his yearning for Murfley Town on Weibo. How could he have received an invitation, come here, and then inexplicably left?"
"And we haven't been able to contact him since he left, not even his parents. Where did he stay when he first arrived? I'd like to interview the last person who had contact with him."
Breg replied impatiently, "The last person who had contact with him was me. I can assure you, Kachi did come to our town, but he left after arriving. As for where he went, we don't know."
"Is there anything else? If not, please leave. Also, you know that Murfley Town doesn't really welcome outsiders. It would be best for the four of you to leave our town as soon as possible."
Jodo felt utterly humiliated. He snorted and said to Breg, "We won't leave until we find Kachi. Furthermore, I've already expressed my concern for Mr. Kachi. He hasn't been reachable for a week, and his last known location was your Murfley Town."
"But your attitude now makes me feel that you are indifferent to Mr. Kachi's life, and even possibly involved in his disappearance. I will report your attitude and this matter to others in the Kingdom of Sava, including your superior."
Jodo threatened Breg, then turned and led Luna and Liu Ran outside.
Breg remained seated, a flash of impatience in his eyes. He then ignored them, shut down the computer, and left.
Chen Yang's brows were tightly knit. He knew this search for Kachi wouldn't be smooth. After leaving the Security Post, Chen Yang said to Liu Ran, "Liu Ran, let's leave here first. This Murfley Town is not as simple as it appears on the surface. It's not just a pastoral and peaceful place; it's clearly hiding other secrets."
Liu Ran nodded. "I feel the same. At least the Breg who received us, his tone and expression seemed peculiar. The key issue is that Kachi has already left Murfley Town, and we don't know where to find him."
Then, Liu Ran turned to Jodo and said, "Mr. Jodo, let's leave Murfley Town first. This town seems too cold, and it's located in a remote mountainous area. It would be troublesome if something were to happen."
Jodo laughed heartily. "Don't worry, beautiful Miss Liu. I know your boyfriend wants to drag you away, but I can assure you, as long as Jodo is here, I will definitely help you find Mr. Kachi and ensure your safety."
"I suspect Breg is clearly lying, so we'll stay in town tonight. Hehe, I have a plan for tonight. I guarantee that by tomorrow morning, I will have uncovered all information about Mr. Kachi."
