Chapter 752 Gifts of Consolation

As noon approached, Qin Chuan and his group finally emerged from the basement.

Qin Chuan walked at the forefront, his breathing steady and his expression as calm and serene as ever, like a deep, ancient well. However, the three individuals following him couldn't conceal the excitement in their eyes; even Zheng Chengdao displayed a hint of uncontainable elation.

This was because, in the basement, they had reaped rewards beyond their wildest expectations, extracting explosively exciting information from Xue Lang and his two companions.

For the entire morning, the group took turns interrogating them, only leaving when they had squeezed every last secret from Xue Lang and his two men, still feeling unsatisfied.

"It's simply unbelievable. It really proves that saying: the wealthier a family is, the more hideous the depths of human nature lie hidden beneath their glittering facade!"

"That old bastard from the Han family is truly scum, he doesn't even spare his own daughter-in-law!"

On their way back, Yao Dong was so excited he was practically dancing.

Even the composed Qin Yang and Zheng Chengdao sat there with peculiar expressions, as if something had deeply disturbed them.

Moments ago, they had learned a shocking piece of news from Xue Lang and his two men: the old man from the Han family was a lecher, not only preying on female employees within the company but also harboring desires for his own daughter-in-law.

"Boss, when do you think we should expose this explosive information? I believe it will cause a massive upheaval!" Yao Dong asked excitedly.

Qin Chuan's expression remained as placid as an ancient well. Upon hearing this, he slowly replied, "No rush. The more important something is, the better it must be kept hidden. It's like playing a game; the ultimate move is always revealed last!"

"Our battle with the Han family of Longcheng has just begun. When two armies clash, they first send out vanguard troops to probe and gauge each other's strengths and weaknesses!"

"Besides, regarding what we just heard, it's only their side of the story from Xue Lang and his men. We don't have definitive proof that it's true!"

"To make this a powerful trump card, we need to plan carefully and explore further…"

Zheng Chengdao nodded, "The Boss is right. We can't expose this great secret for now. Firstly, we lack concrete evidence, and secondly, as the Boss just said, the ultimate moves are always deployed last. Our battle with the Han family of Longcheng has just begun, and there's no need to reveal our greatest trump card so directly."

Qin Yang agreed, "I also think it's not appropriate to reveal it now."

Yao Dong stammered, "Then what should we do now?"

Regarding this question, both Zheng Chengdao and Qin Yang turned their gaze to Qin Chuan. They believed their boss must have already made a decision.

"I want to play with them properly!" Qin Chuan's gaze was profound, his entire demeanor seemingly dyed with ink, inspiring an inexplicable sense of awe.

Two days later, in Longcheng, at the same high-end private hospital.

In the ward, Liu An, whose hands had been crippled, lay in bed. A hot and sexy nurse was massaging his body.

*Knock, knock, knock!*

The sound of knocking interrupted Liu An's rest. He frowned and called out, "Enter!"

A lean, tough man walked in. His gaze fell upon Liu An, who was lying in bed with his lower body unclothed, but he seemed unfazed, remaining exceptionally calm.

"Any news about Xue Lang and the others?" Liu An asked.

The lean man shook his head, "No. I think something must have happened!"

Liu An's face turned as dark as water. This was the third day since Xue Lang and his group had disappeared. On the first day, when he couldn't contact any of them, he thought they were in a place with poor signal, hence the temporary lack of contact, and he wasn't anxious.

However, when he still couldn't reach them on the second day, Liu An began to suspect something was wrong. Xue Lang was one of his most capable enforcers, and such a situation had never happened before, especially with all six of them being unreachable.

He immediately dispatched people to investigate, but the results yielded no leads.

"An Ye, should I personally go to Yongnan County?" the lean man asked. His surname was Yan, and his given name was Ping. His nickname was "Yan Luo," as famous as Xue Lang, and he was also one of Liu An's most formidable enforcers.

Liu An knitted his brows. Suddenly, another knock echoed, and the door was pushed open. A subordinate entered, carrying a box, and said, "An Ye, someone just left a box at the gate, saying it's a gift to visit An Ye!"

"A gift for me? Who is it?" Liu An asked, confused.

The subordinate shook his head, "I didn't see the person's face. The gatekeeper told me there was a gift for An Ye, so I brought it back."

"Help me open it and let me see what it is!" Liu An said casually, as he couldn't move his hands.

The subordinate carefully placed the box in front of Liu An and quickly unpacked it. The moment the lid was lifted and the contents were revealed, the subordinate let out a scream and collapsed onto the floor, his face filled with terror.

Simultaneously, the beautiful nurse who had just come out of the bathroom saw what was inside the box. Her eyes rolled back in fright, and she immediately fainted, falling to the ground.

Not only were these two startled. Liu An, who was sitting on the bed, also felt his heart race upon seeing the contents of the box. His entire face then turned terrifyingly grim, a storm brewing within.

Inside the box, what was presented as a "gift" were three bloody fingers. They appeared to have been severed from three different people. Ice packs had been deliberately placed inside to ensure the fingers wouldn't rot in the summer heat and would remain fresh.

In the entire ward, the calmest person was the man called Yan Luo. Upon seeing the three fresh fingers in the box, his pupils merely contracted slightly before quickly regaining their composure.

He then noticed a piece of paper in the box and immediately picked it up.

After reading its contents, Yan Luo's expression finally changed, becoming as grim as Liu An's, with a brewing storm on his brow.

"What does it say? Let me see!" Liu An's voice boomed.

Yan Luo hesitated for a moment, then handed the paper to Liu An. It contained only a single message: "Liu An, you old scoundrel, it's rude not to reciprocate. I heard you were ill, so your junior specially sent some fresh ingredients to help you recuperate! Rest assured, this is just an appetizer; the main course is yet to come. Though my strength is weak, not even one ten-thousandth of the Han family's, I am willing to risk it all to play with you. You have sent ten people to assassinate me successively, and not one of them has ever returned! Now, it's my turn to attack your defense!"

*Bang!!*

Liu An kicked the paper away. His breathing became rapid, his face contorted in ferocity. Xue Lang and the six others were truly in trouble, and all of them had fallen to the ant he had previously disdained. These three fingers sent were undoubtedly from three of them.
