Chapter 23 Hong Fan

"Mr. Su, it's not our boss's fault. Your car is too cool, I've never seen anything like it."

Jiang Hongwei's employee also stared at the monstrous car with shining eyes.

"When Brother Jiang gets back, you can have a go too."

They were all men, and Su Fan naturally understood the other's thoughts. Fulfilling his wish was no big deal, just a small favor.

"Forget it, it's too expensive for me to afford any damage." Although he was tempted, he knew that if he scratched or bumped it, he might not be able to pay it off even with a lifetime of work.

"It's fine, it's insured. If it gets damaged, it's on me," Su Fan reassured him, so he wouldn't have to pay.

"Ah? Thank you, Mr. Su!"

"Kid, you've hit the jackpot? How did you get such a nice car?"

When Jiang Hongwei returned after a tour, he looked at Su Fan with the eyes of someone seeing a nouveau riche.

"Let's not talk about that. How's the carving coming along?" Su Fan was here to check on the carving progress. These works were going to an exhibition, so they couldn't be careless.

"It's almost done. Two pieces have been carved, and they'll all be finished within a day at most," Jiang Hongwei told Su Fan.

"That's good. I have an even bigger piece of jade here. See how you want to handle it, just in case." Su Fan took out a larger emerald. This was a super emerald bought from the game mall, larger than any emerald and of better quality.

"This... where on earth did you get so much top-quality jade?" Jiang Hongwei was starting to suspect Su Fan had a raw stone mine.

"Don't worry about that, old friend. Just run our jade company well. I'll provide the top-quality jade raw materials, and you just need to keep the carvers," Su Fan didn't explain much. Sometimes, it wasn't necessary to explain everything.

"Don't worry, leave the carving to me. I guarantee there won't be any problems," Jiang Hongwei said confidently.

"Good. How many days until the exhibition? Have you registered our company?" Su Fan nodded and continued to ask.

"Three days left. We've already registered under the name Hongfan Jewelry."

Hongfan Jewelry was the company jointly funded by Su Fan and Jiang Hongwei, named by taking one character from each of their names.

"That's good. Notify me before the exhibition. I'll be leaving now if there's nothing else. I'm going to the company to take a look."

Su Fan suddenly remembered that he hadn't visited the company since its establishment and wondered what it was like now.

To be honest, Su Fan was a little worried.

"Alright, here are some photos I had someone take. Take them and have them processed to hang on our company's homepage. Promote them appropriately to build momentum, preparing us for our future entry into the jewelry industry." Jiang Hongwei had already taken photos of the two carved jade pieces.

Su Fan took a look. One was the Great Sun Tathagata, and the other was a dynamic calligraphy of dragons and phoenixes.

These two elements were deeply ingrained in the hearts of Chinese people. The carving was very detailed, truly the work of a master sculptor.

Both pieces were decorative items. The emeralds Su Fan provided were not very large. They were too small for bracelets and too large for pendants, so they were just right for decorative pieces.

"Okay, I'm leaving."

Su Fan took the photos and headed to the company.

As Su Fan walked into the company, there were only ten employees inside, all chatting amongst themselves. Although they were talking, they hadn't left their workstations.

Su Fan wasn't angry. Work was indeed slow at the moment, with nothing much to do. A little chat was understandable.

Su Fan had been a junior employee himself and naturally understood.

Su Fan ignored them. Even when the employees saw him arrive and flinched, Su Fan didn't react and walked straight inside. The room inside was the general manager's office, also Lu Chun's workspace.

Su Fan pushed the door open directly. Lu Chun was inside, organizing documents.

Hearing the door open, she looked up and saw Su Fan.

"Boss," Lu Chun bowed and greeted Su Fan.

It was quite a surprise for Lu Chun that the hands-off boss had actually come to the company today.

"Has the company's official website that I asked you to build been completed?" Su Fan's only task for Lu Chun and the team was the official website, so he naturally inquired about the progress first.

"It's completed, including the homepage, product pages, company information, and online consultation," Lu Chun told Su Fan. She even prepared documents for Su Fan to review.

"No need for me to see it, as long as it's done. Here are our product photos. Have someone process them and put them on the homepage, and promote them online to build anticipation for our products," Su Fan handed the photos to Lu Chun and instructed.

"Okay," Lu Chun's face lit up with joy.

Since the website was completed, the company had been idle for several days. Now that there was something to do, Lu Chun was actually happy. Receiving Su Fan's salary without doing anything made her uncomfortable.

"Also, our products are about to be launched. You can look for suitable storefronts for our first physical store," Su Fan told Lu Chun about another matter.

Once the jade was launched, it couldn't only be sold online. The jade industry primarily relied on physical stores.

"Alright, I'll keep an eye out," Lu Chun nodded.

"One more thing. A general manager might be coming in a few days. Her name is Su Yutong. If she arrives, please receive her," Su Fan informed Lu Chun about Su Yutong.

"Understood, Mr. Su," Lu Chun noted down everything Su Fan said. This was the job of a secretary, to record and handle all of the boss's affairs.

"Alright, you can get back to work."

After Su Fan finished giving instructions, he had nothing else to do. He let Lu Chun continue working and sat down in the general manager's chair to rest at ease.

Unknowingly, Su Fan fell asleep. This time, he hadn't actively entered the game, so he didn't go into the game. When he woke up, it was almost dark.

"Mr. Su, it's almost time to get off work. Are you leaving?" Lu Chun was tidying her desk when she saw Su Fan wake up and asked with a smile.

"Mm, sorry, I fell asleep. Let's go." Su Fan stretched his limbs and got up, preparing to leave the company.

Su Fan and Lu Chun came out of the office together. The others had already started leaving one after another.

"Chun, want to grab dinner together after work?" a man walked in and said to Lu Chun.

The man was in his twenties, with a slicked-back hairstyle. However, combined with his slightly rounded face, he looked greasy no matter how you looked at him.

"I'm sorry, Xu Chang. I already have plans, I'm afraid," Lu Chun said apologetically.

The greasy man named Xu Chang frowned slightly and glanced at Su Fan beside Lu Chun.

"What future can you have in such a small company? I've already spoken to my supervisor and arranged for you to join our company as a salesperson. You'll have a three-month internship, and after becoming a full-time employee, you'll be officially hired. You'll also get commission," Xu Chang, though displeased with Su Fan, didn't directly confront him. Instead, he relentlessly pursued Lu Chun.

"Thank you for your trouble. I'm doing well here. Thank you for your concern," Lu Chun, though somewhat annoyed by Xu Chang, couldn't put on a cold face for his good intentions, so she could only thank him politely.

"It's nothing, it's just a word from me. Once you join the sales department, I'll look out for you, and no one will dare bully you!" Xu Chang didn't grasp the meaning behind Lu Chun's words. Instead, he thought Lu Chun was sincerely thanking him.
