Harrison took two steps back, looking at Su Fan with vigilance.
"Then you continue," Su Fan said, gesturing for Harrison to proceed.
"Great..." Harrison began to pray again.
"Great your ass!" Su Fan interrupted him with another slap.
"You're going too far!" Harrison glared at Su Fan.
"And what if I am?"
Harrison was so enraged by Su Fan that he was at a loss, pointing at Su Fan and unable to speak for a long time.
"Mr. Su, we lost, but you don't have to humiliate us like this!" the priest suddenly stepped forward and said to Su Fan with a furious expression.
"Losing and still so self-righteous, truly worthy of the Church of Light," Su Fan said, giving the priest a thumbs-up.
"Is your China really so petty? You claim to be a land of etiquette, what a joke!" Harrison sneered at Su Fan.
"Heh, no matter how polite we are, we won't be polite to someone who sneaks around, steals, and makes underhanded moves. Don't think we don't know what you've been doing in secret. You'd better scram, or I'll beat you every time I see you!" Su Fan warned Harrison coldly in his ear, loud enough for him to hear.
Harrison's expression immediately changed.
Su Fan simply snorted and ignored him. Harrison's face turned pale with anger. He thought he had been very discreet, but he never expected the Chinese side to have discovered it long ago. Ashamed, Harrison returned to the embassy expressionlessly.
Meanwhile, Su Fan openly loitered around the embassy. Harrison watched Su Fan outside the embassy, recalling Su Fan's warning: "I'll beat you every time I see you." As a national representative, he couldn't be so petty, could he? Harrison felt uneasy.
However, there was nothing left for him to do in China. His secret recruitment of followers had been discovered. It was already generous of them not to have a full-blown confrontation. Sighing, Harrison boarded a plane and left China that very day. Harrison felt utterly humiliated. His trip to China had completely disgraced the Church of Light! He would also be punished by the Archbishop upon his return. He had truly lost out.
"Bishop Harrison, someone is here to see you," Harrison's subordinate informed him after his return. He hadn't even faced the Archbishop's punishment yet.
But he was in no mood to receive visitors. "I'm not seeing anyone. Just say I'm not here," Harrison waved his hand irritably at his subordinate.
"What's wrong with Bishop Harrison? Is it so difficult to get an audience with you now?" a voice suddenly sounded from behind Harrison, startling him.
Bright calmly walked out from behind Harrison.
"Bright!" Harrison immediately recognized the young man before him as the sole remaining leader of the Assassin Alliance, Bright.
"Bishop Harrison seems to remember me," Bright said with a smile, seeing that Harrison recognized him.
"Of course, I remember. You almost stole our sacred artifact from the Church of Light back then, how could I forget!" Harrison said, looking at Bright with a grave expression. He remained vigilant, clearly worried about Bright's strength. Back then, he had almost stolen their sacred artifact with his spatial abilities. His sudden appearance today did not suggest he was here for a chat.
"Don't be nervous. I'm here to cooperate with you. I heard you just returned from China and had a confrontation with Su Fan," Bright said, trying to calm Harrison.
"Yes, what do you want?" Harrison had nothing to hide. Major Western organizations were generally aware of his visit to China.
"What do I want? Su Fan is difficult to deal with, isn't he? Do you want revenge?" Bright asked Harrison.
"Revenge? What do you intend to do?" Harrison frowned, unsure of Bright's intentions.
"I told you not to be nervous. I have a grudge against Su Fan, so I want to cooperate with you to eliminate Su Fan! We need to suppress the Martial Alliance and prevent Chinese influence from gaining a foothold!" Bright finally revealed his objective.
Ever since he was chased away by Lin Yao last time, he had not given up on his desire for revenge against Su Fan. However, this time he needed to be fully prepared. First, he had to deal with the Heavenly Realm martial artist beside Su Fan. With his own strength, he couldn't handle that opponent, so he had to seek help from others. Bright didn't want to return to the Ability Alliance, so he set his sights on the Church of Light, which could amplify its teammates with faith power. Coincidentally, he learned that Harrison had returned from China and had a conflict with Su Fan, so he came to him.
"How do we cooperate?" Harrison asked, frowning.
"I am SSS-class, and Su Fan is only SS-class. I can easily kill him, but he has an SSS-class expert beside him. I need you to use your faith power to boost my strength. Once I deal with the expert beside him, his fate will be in my hands!" Bright explained to Harrison.
Harrison nodded. Bright's SSS-class strength was true, but he hadn't expected Su Fan to have an SSS-class expert beside him. This was somewhat unexpected.
"Are you confident?" Harrison always felt that places like China were strange. Despite the absence of experts in recent decades, unexpected ones always appeared. It was quite bizarre, and Harrison was reluctant to go to China.
"With your help, I have a hundred percent confidence," Bright assured Harrison.
"Your help? Who else?" Harrison realized the implication of Bright's words. Bright wasn't just seeking help from him alone?
"I have a few friends. While I'm dealing with the SSS-class expert, someone needs to keep Su Fan occupied so he doesn't escape," Bright had already planned it. With the boost of faith power, he would deal with Su Fan's expert, while others would engage Su Fan to prevent his escape. Once he dealt with the SSS-class expert, Su Fan would be completely helpless!
Harrison pondered. "What's in it for me?" Simply helping Bright for revenge was unnecessary and not worth it.
"A portion of resources for breaking through to SSS-class," Bright was really going all out this time, offering the resources he had left from his own breakthrough. While one portion of resources might not be enough to elevate an SS-class to SSS-class, resources were accumulated bit by bit. One couldn't obtain all resources at once; there was no one that wealthy in this world.
Harrison's eyes lit up. Although their strength was closely related to faith power, and the number of believers was the most crucial factor, resources were still useful to them. They could improve their physique, allowing them to utilize more faith power.
"Deal!" Harrison immediately agreed, as Bright's offer was too generous to refuse.
