Time flew by… a year had passed. Lixing was a genius wherever he went, having completely mastered all ninjutsu and ninja arts. Despite being the strongest in the ninja world and believing himself to be so, he continued to learn various techniques.
As for the medical ninjutsu taught by Tsunade, Lixing mastered it completely within a mere month, astonishing Tsunade and making her wonder what kind of monster he was. Shizune, who was also learning Tsunade’s medical ninjutsu, fell into a slump for a while because of this.
"Summoning Jutsu: After forming a contract with a summoned beast, one can summon it to fight alongside them through hand seals. So, if I databased and replicated substances as summoned beasts, could I also summon such substances?"
Tsunade and her companions had arrived at a town market. Ever since Lixing became his disciple, Tsunade no longer had to flee from debt, and the trio's material life had improved. While Tsunade and Shizune went to the casino, Lixing sat alone on a rooftop, pondering the principles of the Summoning Jutsu.
As soon as the idea struck him, he began to experiment. Lixing looked at a fallen leaf in front of him and, using his databasing ability, recorded it. Now, Lixing no longer needed to touch objects to database them; a mere glance was enough.
"Summoning Jutsu!"
Lixing clapped his hands together, completely omitting the hand seals required for ninjutsu. Of course, the clap was just for show. A puff of smoke appeared in the air, and countless leaves rained down from the sky.
"It works! The summoned beast is completely unnecessary. Living beings have their own minds, and any dissent would affect the battle. It’s better to keep everything under my control."
With this thought, Lixing became increasingly obsessed, collecting substances all over the town. His top priority was money. He wondered if the summoned money would be usable.
…
"Hey! Lixing, what have you been doing all day? I lost all the money today because you weren't here with me." Tsunade pressed Lixing’s head and ruffled his hair furiously.
"Master, this has nothing to do with me. Don't mess up my hair; I still need to find a wife!"
"Long time no see, Tsunade! When did you start teaching disciples like Jiraiya?"
Just as Lixing was trying to break free from Tsunade’s grip, a hoarse and sinister voice suddenly came from behind. Tsunade immediately let go of Lixing and looked behind them.
Shizune stared sternly at Orochimaru, never expecting to encounter the legendary Sannin, Orochimaru, today. She surmised that nothing good would come of this.
Lixing hadn't encountered any main characters for a long time. He turned to see Orochimaru and Kabuto. Orochimaru’s hands were wrapped in bandages and trembling incessantly.
"Orochimaru and Kabuto? Oh, I remember now. The Chunin Exams must have passed, and Orochimaru has already killed the Third Hokage, Hiruzen Sarutobi. He's here to ask Master to heal his hands." Lixing thought to himself. He then slowly rolled up his sleeves, preparing to test his skills in a fight. After this, Tsunade would return to Konoha to become Hokage, and it might not be ideal for an outsider to join the village with a skill set.
"Lady Tsunade, we are here to make a deal with you." Kabuto spoke for Orochimaru, acting as his spokesperson.
"There’s nothing to discuss. Let's fight first!" Lixing was too impatient to listen to Kabuto’s nonsense. The deal wouldn’t succeed anyway, so he might as well test his own strength. Orochimaru wouldn’t die, after all.
As soon as he spoke, Lixing lunged forward with a punch. The punch was thrown with incredible speed. Kabuto immediately pulled Orochimaru aside to dodge it. The wall behind them, however, suffered greatly, its several sections shattered by Lixing's punch force.
"Oh my, Tsunade, your disciple is quite impulsive. A personality like that is bound to die in battle..." Orochimaru said with an evil smile.
This statement happened to stir up Tsunade's unpleasant memories. She immediately stopped Lixing and reprimanded him, "Lixing, no more impulsiveness!"
This was Lixing’s first serious fight since arriving here. His earlier encounter didn't count. Now, Lixing didn't want to miss such a good opportunity. Just as he was about to retort, Shizune stopped him.
"Lixing-kun, please calm down. Lady Tsunade will be angry. Besides, you've already broken several walls. If you keep fighting, you'll destroy this entire place."
Lixing looked at the damaged walls beside him and then at the stern face of Tsunade. Fine, he decided to endure it for now.
"Orochimaru, your hands are wrapped in bandages, so you must want me to heal them, right? I no longer treat people. You should leave quickly." Tsunade understood the general situation just by looking at Orochimaru’s hands but didn't want any further association with him, so she immediately told them to get lost.
However, Orochimaru still had his dreams and didn't want to give up just yet. Without his hands, he couldn't perform hand seals and thus couldn't achieve what he wanted.
"It's nothing. My hands were sealed by Master Sarutobi when I destroyed Konoha. But I killed him. I believe only you, Tsunade, renowned throughout the ninja world for your medical ninjutsu, can heal them. I've been looking for you for a long time, Tsunade!"
Upon hearing the news of the Third Hokage's death, Tsunade and Shizune were shocked. Orochimaru actually went through with it!
"Don't make that face. All physical things will eventually dissipate, and so will people. Everyone eventually dies. You should know this very well, considering you caused the death of the two people you loved the most!"
Orochimaru’s expression turned grim as he uttered words that could provoke Tsunade, simultaneously setting the stage for the trade offer he was about to make.
After hearing this, Tsunade put on a harmless smile. "Orochimaru, you've always been this way. You know my personality well, don't you? Don't play games with me here."
Immediately, her eyes filled with ferocity, and she punched the wall behind her. With just a gentle blow, she pulverized an entire wall.
"Watch out, or I'll kill you! Bastard!"
Seeing that even Tsunade couldn't hold back, Lixing could no longer contain himself. He was simply too eager to fight, finally having an opportunity after such a long time.
"You're Orochimaru, right? Fight me first. If you win, I'll heal you. I've received Master’s true teachings, and my medical ninjutsu is no less than Master's!"
Lixing charged forward, his fist clenched. A powerful force gathered in his fist. Kabuto's senses detected a massive amount of chakra concentrated in the boy's fist; being hit would result in serious injury or death. He immediately pulled Orochimaru and dodged.
"Boom!"
Of course, Lixing had anticipated that Kabuto would dodge with Orochimaru. He immediately slammed his fist into the ground, creating a deep crater. Kabuto and Orochimaru lost their balance and didn't get far.
Seeing this, Lixing shouted, "What a chance!" He leaped quickly, extending one leg high above his head. As he descended, Kabuto, seeing that he was about to be hit, prepared to use a summoning jutsu to block the attack.
However, Orochimaru calmly said, "I can make you meet the two people you loved the most again. I can revive them with the forbidden jutsu I developed!"
Tsunade's mind became chaotic upon hearing this. She immediately shouted for Lixing to stop. Although Lixing wanted to fight, he wasn't a madman. He directed his kick toward the side of Kabuto and Orochimaru, creating a massive chasm in the ground.
Shizune had also intended to join the fight, but upon hearing Tsunade's command to stop, she immediately thought that Tsunade had been persuaded. She quickly shouted at Tsunade, "Lady Tsunade, please wake up! Orochimaru must be lying to you!"
Orochimaru looked pleased and, ignoring Lixing beside him, said to Tsunade, "Since neither of us was killed, does that mean our deal is successful?"
Tsunade remained silent, her head bowed, lost in thought. Shizune continued to urge Tsunade to regain her senses.
Lixing clasped his hands behind his head and looked at Orochimaru. "I heard your ninjutsu involves snakes spitting you out, and you spitting out swords. Don't you find that disgusting?"
Kabuto turned to look at the young boy. Although he had some strength, he was extremely impolite.
"You're Lixing, right? If you're unhappy with Tsunade, you can come to me. As for your question, snakes like damp, dark places and often bite when people are caught off guard!"
Orochimaru smiled, his snake-like eyes fixed on Lixing, making him feel disgusted. He quickly moved to Tsunade's side. "Master, let's have snake soup tonight!"
Seeing that a stalemate was not a solution, but to avoid being left behind, Orochimaru bit his finger, drawing blood. A drop of crimson blood fell, and Tsunade trembled uncontrollably, as if she had seen something terrifying.
"It seems you still haven't overcome it, your fear of blood. I'll give you a week to consider. Reply to me at this spot in a week. I await your good news. Also, the forbidden jutsu requires two live sacrifices, so please prepare two people. Let's go, Kabuto!"
As soon as he finished speaking, Orochimaru and Kabuto disappeared before the trio. Shizune sighed helplessly and told Lixing that Lady Tsunade had hemophobia and that the priority now was to take her back to rest.
Lixing suddenly remembered that he should have helped Tsunade overcome this problem over the past year. There was nothing he could do but find another opportunity to figure it out next time.
