After much deliberation, Director Wang, Director Li, and everyone else from the film crew unanimously agreed to conduct survival skills training before the outdoor survival variety show officially began. The purpose was not for any other reason than to ensure their crew would be more coordinated and experienced during the show, thereby earning a good reputation.
Si Qing and Qi Yu had never experienced outdoor survival in this world before. Hearing that they could only bring a limited amount of food and would be taken to a world with nothing to survive in, they were filled with anticipation.
Director Wang, seeing that they all appeared to be pampered children of wealthy families, carefree and unburdened, couldn't help but remind them on the way: "Since this is just a trial run for our survival game, our destination this time will be a deserted island. Of course, it's not entirely deserted, as there will be a ferry service daily."
"We will have to rely on the limited food and water we have, along with any rescue items provided from the outside, to survive here for a week."
Director Li nodded and chimed in, "Normally, it should be a month, but I'm afraid everyone might not adapt. And if anything were to happen during this period, it wouldn't be good, which is why we've shortened it from a month to a week. I hope everyone can overcome this."
Director Wang saw that Director Li had finished speaking and had even gone to great lengths to explain various precautions for outdoor survival.
From how to use distress flares in case of danger on the road, to how to handle personal hygiene and internal affairs while surviving in the wild, everything was explained in great detail.
It was evident that thorough research had been done before their arrival.
Qi Yu was not nervous.
Like everyone else, he was rather eager to try.
Director Wang, seeing their nonchalant demeanor, couldn't help but sigh deeply, thinking with concern that given their indifferent attitude, he wondered how much trouble they would encounter once they started.
Oh well, the cast list was his decision. Since everyone had agreed to participate, he would train them well.
Director Wang thought this to himself, took out a pen and paper, and noted it down on the task list.
However, once they arrived on the deserted island, Qi Yu and Si Qing were so engrossed in enjoying the scenery that they didn't take the prospect of living there for a week as a major issue at all. Instead, Directors Wang and Li were constantly counting the food and water they had brought.
They were unsure if it would be enough to last for a week.
Si Qing looked out at the vast expanse of the ocean and couldn't help but shout at it.
As Si Qing's shouts carried his spiritual energy,
the sea surface churned with turbulent waves.
Seeing this, Qi Yu found it amusing and joined in shouting at the sea. It was only after the siblings had been shouting for a while that Directors Wang and Li, standing nearby, stopped them.
Director Wang, with a helpless expression, placed his bag on the ground, opened it, and distributed the provisions, one portion for each person: "This amount of food is what each of you has to survive for a week. This includes fresh water. If you cannot find a way to get your own fresh water, then once you've finished your own water and eaten your own food, you will only have starvation to look forward to."
As he said this, Director Wang sighed inwardly, feeling fortunate that they had only chosen a week instead of a month.
After all, a person wouldn't die from thirst in three days, but a month would be quite a challenge.
However, to Director Wang's surprise, these young ladies and gentlemen of wealth seemed completely unfazed by such a small amount of food and water. They all carefully put it away, carried it, and continued to play and have fun as usual.
The strangest thing was that after their loud shouting and playing in the waves by the sea for so long, they weren't tired, hungry, or even thirsty.
Director Wang wondered with some confusion, perhaps he was simply too old and couldn't keep up with the pace anymore?
Otherwise, why weren't these young people tired at all?
Director Li sat cross-legged nearby, like an old monk in meditation, leaning against a coconut tree.
He leaned against the coconut tree, initially intending to browse the news on his phone. However, he suddenly remembered that they were in the wilderness for survival, and even if the phone had signal, he couldn't open it, as it would be a violation of the rules. Thus, he dismissed the idea.
He continued to sit there blankly, his expression unchanged.
And so, Directors Wang and Li sat from day until night.
They didn't drink water or eat food, just sat there in a daze, lost in thought, while admiring Qi Yu and the others as they frolicked.
They watched and admired them.
It had been a full day.
Even if they had only felt novelty at the beginning, wouldn't they eventually get tired?
Why did this group of people show no signs of fatigue, and they hadn't eaten or drunk anything all day?
Qi Yu and the others never considered that their actions were inappropriate.
It was because the seaside scenery here was too beautiful. Although the sea views in their world were also beautiful, they didn't have so many strange trees.
Especially since more than half of the group were from the Dragon race, and the other half were from the Phoenix race.
Qi Yu and Si Qing had even ascended from the Dragon race to become Heavenly Dao and the Law itself.
Therefore, they had an unusual fondness for seawater.
Just as they were about to continue playing for the night, Directors Wang and Li had already started a bonfire by the sea.
They had originally intended to guide Qi Yu and Si Qing on how to start a bonfire, but considering that it was getting late, they decided it could wait until tomorrow. So, they didn't mention it. Instead, they called out to them, wanting to teach them how to roast food.
But what Directors Wang and Li didn't expect was that.
Qi Yu and Si Qing, after playing enough in the sea, came over and were not very wet; they were completely clean.
Moreover, the group saw only one bonfire and felt it wasn't enough. They directly used a small bamboo tube, blew a few times, and successfully built three to four new bonfires.
After building the new bonfires, they didn't seem to have any intention of eating or drinking. Instead, they gathered together to chat.
Director Wang finally couldn't help himself: "You haven't had any water all day, and you haven't eaten anything all day. Aren't you thirsty? Aren't you hungry?"
He hadn't moved much today, sitting under a big tree enjoying the shade and spacing out, and even he was extremely thirsty.
These people had been playing and frolicking for so long, yet their water was still unopened.
Even Director Li, standing beside him, began to doubt life. Because he hadn't done anything all day, yet he had drunk three mouthfuls of water.
He had initially thought that these wealthy young ladies and gentlemen might not be able to resist drinking water, so he had already planned how to tell them to drink less water and eat less food to ensure that the remaining supplies would last longer.
He never would have imagined.
