Qi Yu and Si Qing looked up when they heard it, and the siblings said in unison, "What's so strange about this? It's just a ball."
This was something anyone could make with spiritual energy.
"It's not as simple as you say. This isn't just a ball made with spiritual energy; it's imbued with magic and curses," Shao Feng said, holding the spiritual orb in his hand. "This thing is called a flower ball. In the divine realm, many children play with it like a dodgeball. However, unlike the way they play, in the divine realm, they block it with their bare hands using magic."
Shao Feng raised his hand as if demonstrating, conjuring a magic circle to block it.
The spiritual orb immediately bounced off the magic circle and hit the wall, sticking firmly to it.
"It doesn't seem particularly special. Why is this thing stuck to the wall?" Qi Yu said, reaching out to try and pry the spiritual orb off the wall. However, she found that it was incredibly sticky. It had been a normal ball before, but now it even stuck to her hand.
"You can't take it off, and whoever touches it gets stuck," Shao Feng raised an eyebrow. "Several people form a group and take turns using magic to bounce this spiritual orb. Whoever can't dodge and gets stuck has to grant one wish for the others. If anyone else gets stuck with them, then the two of them have to help fulfill the others' wishes together."
"Of course, the scope of these wishes is decided before the game begins."
Shao Feng retracted the spiritual orb as he spoke.
Qi Yu looked at the shimmering spiritual orb in his hand, her heart filled with excitement. Suddenly, an idea struck her. "Jin Yan and Yu Yuan have always said that working on the 13th Heaven is too hard. It's been a while since we all got together. Why don't we invite everyone else to the 13th Heaven and play together?"
...
Since An Nuo and Shao Feng ascended to the Ninth Heaven, they hadn't been particularly busy, but they also hadn't been particularly relaxed. Upon hearing this suggestion, they readily agreed and sent heavenly soldiers to summon others who were willing to play from across the sea.
Feng Mingxi was the first to arrive.
Feng Yun Zui and Feng Si Qian, being a bit farther away in the demon realm, followed closely behind.
Yue Zhi Yin, Sui You, Qi Nian, Chi Ming, Qi Yan, and Ming Lou were the second to last group to arrive.
The group formed a circle.
Yan Hua, Chen Xi, Jin Yan, and Yu Yuan arrived fashionably late after finishing all their work.
The rules of the spiritual orb game were simple. Everyone formed a circle, and Shao Feng would start by throwing the ball.
Unlike ordinary wooden balls, the spiritual orb did not require human force to activate or kick.
The spiritual orb possessed its own spiritual energy, so once someone threw it, it would actively bounce in different directions within the circle.
Everyone in the circle had to keep their eyes on the spiritual orb at all times to prevent it from bouncing onto them. If the spiritual orb hit and stuck to someone, they lost a round, and the loser had to fulfill the others' wishes.
The scope of these wishes, after discussion, was finally decided to include everything except the use of magic.
In other words, as long as it wasn't using magic, descending to the 13th Heaven, or doing anything outrageous, anything could be done within the playing area.
Wang Lan Qing and Chi Shang Ming, not as quick-witted as the other big shots, decided not to participate and instead acted as referees from the side.
Shao Feng held the spiritual orb, a faint spiritual light flickering at his fingertips.
Everyone formed a circle, their gazes fixed on the ball in his hand.
Just as Chen Xi was getting tired of staring and was about to change his posture, Shao Feng suddenly raised his hand and hurled the ball at him.
Chen Xi's eyes widened in alarm. He then took two quick steps, condensed magic in his legs, and kicked the ball away.
The spiritual orb, like a spring, bounced off the ground and began to ricochet irregularly within the circle, finally hurtling towards Qi Yu.
Si Qing dodged it without hesitation.
Qi Yu raised an eyebrow, channeled spiritual energy into her arm, and pretended to miss. Then, just as everyone thought she was about to be hit and was about to relax, she fiercely sent the ball towards Yan Hua.
Yan Hua used his divine power in his palm, gently deflecting the ball with a wave.
Finally, the ball bounced sharply to the side and stuck firmly to Chen Xi.
Qi Yu almost died laughing, covering her face as she crouched on the ground.
Chen Xi wished he could strangle Yan Hua. He crouched on the ground and roared at the sky, "No, isn't this world too unfair? Shao Feng threw the ball at me first, and I managed to kick it back. After you all kicked it around, it came back to me, and I ended up getting stuck. I refuse, I don't want to be the first one out. Let's do it again; consider this a warm-up."
"Hey, why are you being a sore loser? You lost, so you lost. Hurry up and grant everyone's wish, and then you can take this ball off," Qi Yu, never one to shy away from stirring up trouble, egged him on from the side.
Yan Hua nodded in agreement. "Chen Xi, is it acceptable to lose? Don't worry, we won't ask for anything too harsh. You stand aside for now, and we'll think carefully."
Chen Xi, crouching on the ground, was about to protest, but the others had already brushed him aside and were standing together, discussing amongst themselves.
"Honestly, I always thought Sister would be the first to lose. I never expected Chen Xi to be the first one," Si Qing said, stroking his chin with a serious expression. "All the mischievous plans I came up with were aimed at Sister. Oh well, I guess I have to think of new ones now."
Qi Yu, from the side, slowly turned her head and stared at Si Qing. "I heard everything you just said."
A flicker of guilt crossed Si Qing's face, and he quickly changed the subject. "Sister, what we're discussing now isn't important. The most important thing now is what Chen Xi should do."
Chen Xi sat cross-legged in mid-air, completely ignoring them and letting them discuss.
Qi Yu rolled her eyes at Si Qing and then joined the discussion. They went back and forth, and finally, they reached a unanimous decision.
They decided that Chen Xi, the first to lose the game, would perform a beautiful flying dance.
Chen Xi: "...You want me, a grown man, to dance? Are you even human? Can't you be any more cruel to me? I'm telling you, how you're treating me now, I'll treat you the same way when you lose later. It's just a flying dance, right? I'll dance, but remember this: I'm holding a grudge. When you lose later, none of you will escape."
After speaking, Chen Xi took a few steps forward, then turned around as if remembering something, pointing at Yan Hua not far away. "And you, including you, none of you will escape. You dare make me dance, and I'll make you dance too!"
