Shaofeng waved his hand directly upon hearing this, "There's no need. I can't bear to lay a hand on them. It's obvious they'll win. Sigh."
Annuo found it both amusing and exasperating. Looking at Qi Yu and Si Qing, he said, "Shaofeng really doesn't want to watch you two participate in this. I understand his feelings. He'd probably wish for you two to remain like this forever, as little cubs."
Qi Yu curved his lips.
Father wished for them to never grow up, to always be like they were now, protected under their wings.
But how could that be possible.
Shaofeng sat dejectedly by the table. In truth, he understood that participating in the God of War Ranking might not be a bad thing, and his two cubs wouldn't necessarily get hurt.
But his old father's heart...
Suiyou thought for a moment, "Regardless, let's register their names first and try a round or two. If the situation becomes truly unfavorable later, we can withdraw from the competition."
Shaofeng grumbled inwardly, wasn't this equivalent to him tacitly agreeing to their participation?
He looked unhappy.
He tossed out the words, "You two decide amongst yourselves," and then turned to return to his room.
Qi Yu and Si Qing exchanged glances.
Several people wanted to go in and talk to Shaofeng.
But they found that Shaofeng had locked the door.
Annuo was at a loss for words. Just as he was about to break the formation on the door to enter, he saw Qi Yu and Si Qing jointly draw a circle in front of the formation on the door.
Immediately after, under the gaze of Annuo and the others, the circle transformed into a mirror.
And Qi Yu and Si Qing directly entered the barrier through the mirror.
Annuo was dumbfounded.
Yan Hua and Chen Xi found it interesting.
In reality, Qi Yu and Si Qing not only didn't damage the barrier, but even Shaofeng inside the barrier didn't notice them entering.
When Qi Yu and Si Qing entered, Shaofeng was sulking alone.
He had reverted to his original form and coiled on the floor of the room. His massive true form occupied the entire space.
The coffee table was even squeezed askew.
He was initially startled to realize that Qi Yu and Si Qing could enter without breaking the formation. Then, he snorted and turned his dragon head away, not wanting to look at them.
"Daddy~" Qi Yu climbed onto Shaofeng's back, hugging him, "I know you're worried about Si Qing and me, but we won't necessarily get hurt. And even if something were to happen, we'd choose to surrender while ensuring our own safety, really."
Si Qing also burrowed into Shaofeng's embrace with all his might.
Shaofeng opened his dragon claws, lifted the two little ones off him, gently patted them back into their original forms, and then rolled them up and stuffed them into his embrace, "But you're still young."
His voice was muffled, "I waited for ten thousand years to finally see you two hatch. Yet, it feels like in the blink of an eye, you've already grown so big."
The more Shaofeng thought about it, the more depressed he became.
He hugged Qi Yu and Si Qing even tighter.
Qi Yu poked his little head out of Shaofeng's embrace. He lowered his gaze and realized they were sitting on Shaofeng's dragon claw.
Even though they were already at the Golden Core stage, Shaofeng could still hold both of their original forms with a single dragon claw.
Qi Yu looked up at Shaofeng's head and rubbed against it with all his might.
Si Qing poked his head out and bit Shaofeng's dragon whiskers, struggling to ask, "Then what counts as grown up?"
"At least, when your original form is about my size," Shaofeng said a bit mischievously, and while speaking, he rolled Si Qing, who had finally managed to struggle free, back into his embrace.
Si Qing whimpered, "That will take a very, very long time."
Qi Yu extended his claws and also struggled, "Dad, you're so heavy, you're crushing me."
"Is that so?" Shaofeng raised his head and, with a grip of his dragon claws, held Qi Yu and Si Qing in his hand, "See? You two can't even escape this, and you want to participate in the God of War Ranking? When you can escape, then I'll let you two go."
Qi Yu and Si Qing were speechless. After exchanging glances, they both lowered their heads and bit at Shaofeng's dragon claws.
But dragon scales were not so easily bitten through.
Qi Yu and Si Qing's mouths became sore from biting, but they couldn't even hurt Shaofeng.
They even made Shaofeng fall asleep waiting.
Si Qing rested his head on Shaofeng's hand and looked back at Qi Yu, "Hmm, Sister, what should we do?"
Qi Yu thought for a moment and finally commanded:
"If biting doesn't work... then Si Qing, pee on him!"
