Tang San Zang

Chapter 65 Invincible Brother-in-law Takes You Home

The benefactor of Beijiang City!

The one worshipped through millennia, whose legacy was immortalized in stone, the great General Qin!

Tang Lao Er let out a pained cry and fainted, a dramatic and immediate collapse.

The Prefect Zhang of Beijiang, however, grinned foolishly. "How is that possible? If it were truly General Qin, would he come alone? Wouldn't there be a red carpet, an army of thousands to welcome him? I don't believe it, hah, I don't believe it!"

He had gone mad, or perhaps foolish.

Qin Yexuan's military dagger flashed. "This blade has not seen blood in three years. Who among you wishes to test it today?"

Deputy Officer Liu knelt, kowtowing like a frantic drum. "Sir, spare me! I truly know I was wrong!"

Who dared to block him now?

The last remnants of the Tang family had long since fled, the path ahead clear.

Qin Yexuan walked past Liu, speaking indifferently. "You are from the Marshal's Mansion. Tian Xing will deal with you. Do you need me to act? Are you even worthy?"

He strode in.

The private hospital was already deserted.

Everyone was afraid.

In the anesthesia room, Su Xueqing lay on a white bed.

Qin Yexuan hurried over and found that Ah Xue had already been given a sedative. Fortunately, he had arrived in time, before the full anesthesia could take effect.

He gently called out Ah Xue's name.

Ah Xue's body trembled slightly, her chest rising and falling like turbulent waves. The little girl had grown up, yet she was still so willful.

Qin Yexuan, disregarding everything else, found Ah Xue's clothes and quickly dressed her.

Su Xueqing's eyes fluttered open, still groggy from the medication.

"Brother-in-law, is that you? Sigh, how could it be? Brother-in-law must still be a thousand miles away in Jiangcheng. What am I thinking?"

"I must be dreaming."

Qin Yexuan knew she was disoriented. He picked her up directly.

The warm embrace steadied Ah Xue.

Under the drug's influence, however, she began to pour out her heart.

"It would be wonderful if Brother-in-law really came. I could see him one last time before I die." Ah Xue murmured into the man's ear. "Remember that year, not long after Brother-in-law arrived, I actually felt uncomfortable having another man in the house."

Qin Yexuan softly called, "Ah Xue, wake up. Don't say these things."

"I want to say them! I'm not a child anymore. When I was in school, I thought more than my older sisters. Oh, it was snowing that day, a heavy snow, the cars couldn't move. It was Brother-in-law who carried me home from the dance studio."

"It was that day I decided in my heart to grow up quickly, to become a beautiful and renowned important person, and then marry Brother-in-law!"

Qin Yexuan's body trembled, and he stopped walking.

Ah Xue's hidden feelings had actually been apparent for years, but he had always dismissed them as a child's admiration.

He never expected she was serious.

With a soft sigh, pretending not to have heard, Qin Yexuan carried Ah Xue and pushed open the door of the sterile operating room.

Tang Guandong was still inside, preparing for surgery.

This matter must be resolved.

Ahead, the ancient-looking Tang Guandong lay with his head tilted weakly, his lips trembling, trying to speak.

Several loyal subordinates stood beside him.

His subordinates had already explained the situation, and he understood the current predicament.

Therefore, Tang Guandong's eyes remained fixed on his daughter in Qin Yexuan's arms, and he managed to croak out a few words: "Save me!"

He was still thinking about saving his life?

Qin Yexuan called Ah Xue's name a few more times.

The effects of the drug wore off, and Su Xueqing opened her eyes, looking at her brother-in-law in disbelief.

"Shh, Ah Xue, you are very weak. We'll talk about some things when we get home. Let's deal with this matter first."

With that, he placed Ah Xue on a nearby wheelchair and pushed her over.

Two of Tang Guandong's subordinates tried to stop them but were slapped away by Qin Yexuan.

Arriving at the operating table, Qin Yexuan stared at Tang Guandong. "Who is Ah Xue's mother?"

Tang Guandong's breathing grew rapid, unable to utter a word.

With a grunt, Qin Yexuan's military dagger pierced his thigh.

Blood splattered, and under the excruciating pain, Tang Guandong wailed, "She, she was a girl from a nightclub in Beijiang back then. I, I was drunk, and then something happened. She left after giving birth to Ah Xue, and I couldn't find her."

Qin Yexuan said coldly, "Did her mother leave anything behind?"

Tang Guandong frantically gestured, and the terrified subordinates scrambled outside to search the boxes Tang Guandong had brought. Finally, they found a small cloth bundle.

The bundle was small, containing only a birth certificate, a pair of silver bracelets for an infant, and a longevity lock common in northern households.

Qin Yexuan took the bundle and placed it in Ah Xue's hands.

Su Xueqing was now completely bewildered, at a loss.

"Ah Xue, he is your father, but he is also a despicable beast. Whether he lives or dies, the decision is yours. Whatever you decide, Brother-in-law will support you!"

After Qin Yexuan's simple words, the people opposite them fell to their knees, kowtowing desperately to Su Xueqing.

Tang Guandong, meanwhile, moaned, "Stop my bleeding, stop my bleeding!"

Su Xueqing remained silent for a long, long time, then shook her head. "He is dying soon. Even if he lives, he will be a living corpse, deserving of his fate. Right now, I just want to go home."

Qin Yexuan nodded and pushed Ah Xue out of the private hospital.

Tang Guandong slammed the hospital bed. "Stop my bleeding, damn it! Tell, tell Lao Er to find people, find everyone, stop them! That is my daughter, it is only natural for a daughter to save her father!"

But no one paid him any mind.

Outside, Tang Lao Er had already been dealt with by Deputy Officer Liu, and Prefect Zhang had been tied up and apprehended.

Deputy Officer Liu entered with two attendants, his expression grim.

"Starting with this son of a bitch Tang Guandong, deal with all of them! Leave no one alive!" the deputy officer ordered coldly. "That way, I might have a chance to survive when I return!"
