Chapter 439 Wang Jiaqian's Secret

Wang Jiaqian looked bewildered. She hadn't been in control of the Blood-Soaked Serpent Spear at all; the artifact had been protecting her automatically.

With a gasp, Wang Jiaqian doubled over and retched violently.

Inside the room, the smell of blood was overpowering.

Qin Yexuan glanced sideways. The torn flesh, the bloodstains covering the walls and floor – it was more than any ordinary person could bear.

"I, I don't want this thing anymore, it's too terrifying, too terrifying…"

Wang Jiaqian trembled, trying to remove the bracelet.

Qin Yexuan rushed over to support her. "It has already bonded with you as its master. Unless you can overpower it with your strength and destroy it forcefully, it will follow you forever. Taking it off is useless."

Wang Jiaqian shivered. "I don't, I don't want to kill them."

Qin Yexuan patted her back. "It merely responded to your feelings. If you hadn't been enraged, if you hadn't harbored the intent to kill, it wouldn't have unleashed such horror."

Wang Jiaqian looked up. "You, what do you mean?"

Qin Yexuan sighed. "The Blood-Soaked Serpent Spear enhances itself with the owner's anger and killing intent. You're afraid because you don't want to face yourself, but just now, it was indeed your murderous intent that activated it."

Wang Jiaqian shook her head. "No, I didn't, I absolutely didn't."

Qin Yexuan fell silent and turned to look at Doctor Zhao, who was still clutching his wound.

"You actually didn't escape?"

With the bodies of his subordinates all around, Doctor Zhao gritted his teeth, tore open his shirt, and wrapped it around his ear. He trembled all over. "Escape? How could I escape? If I couldn't take Wang Jiaqian away, returning to Goryeo would be a dead end. For this mission, I abandoned my wife and children, and I've stayed in this damned city for so long."

He started laughing maniacally. "But you, you still don't understand."

"Don't understand what?" Qin Yexuan shook his head.

Doctor Zhao gasped and smiled eerily. "You thought you were protecting a charming teacher? Go and look in her sister's room. You'll understand when you see it. What you're protecting is a true monster!"

Qin Yexuan walked through the shattered doorway.

Wang Jiaqian chased after him from outside. "What did Doctor Zhao mean? What happened to my sisters?"

Qin Yexuan glanced at her, then walked towards the door that Wang Jiaqian had been guarding.

It was the bedroom.

The door was tightly shut, and the sound of dialysis equipment could be heard.

But there was no other sound.

It was as if the two people lying inside were dead.

Qin Yexuan gently placed his hand on the doorknob.

He had suspected something for a long time, and seeing Doctor Zhao's expression just now, he knew the situation inside this room must be earth-shattering.

The door opened.

The lights were bright, the white walls were covered in pink wallpaper, and there were posters brimming with youthful energy.

There was a television opposite, and a small refrigerator between two single beds.

This room was disinfected daily, and the air purifier was the most expensive and best.

The whole room was filled with life. Wang Jiaqian must have given everything for her sisters, spending all her money on this room.

But!

Lying on the bed, with dialysis tubes attached, were not… not people.

But…

But two cloth dolls.

They wore black dresses and white jackets, all hand-sewn.

Two lifeless cloth dolls lay there blankly, their black eyes made of glass.

Although these two dolls were perfectly maintained, they looked at least ten years old, and their models were from more than a decade ago.

The shock Qin Yexuan felt was quickly suppressed.

Wang Jiaqian's behavior at school had been completely normal. There was no reason for her to be keeping two dolls at home like a madwoman.

At that moment, something even more horrifying happened.

Wang Jiaqian walked in, skillfully changing the dolls' clothes, tidying their medicine, and gently calling them by their names.

"A Ling, A Jing, this is a student from my sister's school. You can call him uncle, or you can call him brother."

The two dolls remained motionless.

Wang Jiaqian gently picked up one doll, raised its hand to wave, and then imitated a little girl's voice to greet him. "Hello, brother. I am A Ling."

A bell hung around the left doll's neck, making a ding-dong sound.

The doll on the right wore crystal earrings. Wang Jiaqian also picked it up and greeted him, her voice changing again, becoming very clear and somewhat spoiled. "I am A Jing. Are you my sister's student? Then you must call me Little Teacher."

Qin Yexuan took a deep breath and smiled at the dolls. "Alright, Teacher A Jing."

Wang Jiaqian giggled, put down the doll, and stretched. "Mr. Qin, it seems my two sisters like you very much."

She not only kept two dolls but also imitated their voices, not only speaking for the dolls but also manifesting two distinct personalities: one gentle and obedient, the other spoiled and cute.

This scene was utterly terrifying.

But Qin Yexuan showed no sign of surprise. He maintained perfect composure, as if two living people were truly lying on the bed.

Now he understood. The hormone medications, the hormones potent enough to kill a hundred strong men, were not for the dolls.

Even now, Wang Jiaqian had opened the refrigerator, which was filled with oral hormone medications, and drank an entire bottle as if it were a beverage.

Qin Yexuan stood up and said gently, "Teacher Wang, you take care of your sisters. I'll go out and clean up the house for you, and then deal with that Doctor Zhao."

Wang Jiaqian returned to her normal self, clasping her hands. "Whatever Doctor Zhao's intentions were, he did help me a lot. Please don't kill him, okay?"

Qin Yexuan nodded slightly, gently closed the door, then twisted the knob and locked it.

He strode out and dragged Doctor Zhao, who was still tending to his wounds, into the room.

A violent aura erupted from Qin Yexuan's palm. The entire room seemed to be struck by a storm, then the pipes burst, and the storm turned into a tempest.

Qin Yexuan controlled this tempest, washing away all the bloodstains in the room.

As the storm dissipated, it transformed into an even more intense gale.

The water stains in the room were swept up.

Doctor Zhao closed his eyes tightly, covered his ears, and lay there. When everything calmed down, he tremblingly got up and saw a completely empty room, spotlessly clean, but all the furniture had been torn apart and thrown out.

Doctor Zhao took a breath and stammered, "With such power, you used it to clean a house?"

Qin Yexuan took out his phone and sent a message to Jun Mengyao, asking her to bring people to deal with the men in black outside as soon as possible.

Then he raised his hand again. The broken wooden door slowly closed. Fragments of furniture from outside were frantically sucked in, filling the gaps in the broken doors and windows piece by piece.

Before long, the entire exterior of the house, including the doors and windows, was sealed shut with various wooden planks, bricks, and debris.

The house was now absolutely isolated from the outside world!

Silence reigned within the room, but the electrical wiring embedded in the floor and walls was still functioning.

The lights came on. Qin Yexuan pulled over a chair and sat down, then pointed to the floor in front of him.

Doctor Zhao trembled and obediently crawled over, kneeling there.
