"Come in," Mu Luxi called out to the door, then said to Lan Yuxi, "Sit down for a while, I have a patient appointment today. We can chat after I'm done."
Lan Yuxi smiled and nodded. Just as she was looking for a place to sit, she saw someone familiar, though not particularly close, walk in.
It was Yin Lu from the private kitchen restaurant!
Yin Lu also recognized her immediately. She pursed her lips, her gaze shifting to Mu Luxi's face. "Dr. Mu, if you're busy, I can come back another day."
"It's fine, she's my friend. Come, I'll examine you," Mu Luxi led her to the examination room.
Lan Yuxi raised an eyebrow slightly. It seemed Yin Lu was quite resistant to her presence. Perhaps she should go for a walk?
With that thought, Lan Yuxi called out to the examination room, "Luxi, I'm going out for a bit and will be back later."
"Okay, don't go too far. I'll be done in about half an hour at most."
"Mhm." Lan Yuxi pushed open the door and walked out. She intended to go sit at Nana's, but as she reached the elevator, she ran into Sixth Brother, who was just stepping out.

"Dr. Mu asked me to come for a consultation. Where are you going?"
"Consultation? Oh, that patient, Yin Lu, has already arrived. You should go quickly. I'm going to sit at Nana's."
Lan Xiao Liu frowned slightly. "You said that patient's name is Yin Lu?"
"Yes, it's quite a coincidence. She even worked at Lan Corporation's main company for three years."

"Dr. Mu, please step out. I need to have a good talk with her."
Mu Luxi clutched her chest, taking a moment to regain her voice. "Mr. Lun, Yin Lu's condition is quite serious. Please try not to agitate her."
Lan Xiao Liu gripped Yin Lu's wrist tightly and grunted in response.

"Madam Nan, save me!" Yin Lu cried out with a choked sob.
Lan Xiao Liu tightened his grip on her wrist and roared, "Shut up! The person who can save you now isn't Xier, it's me!"
Mu Luxi shuddered in fright, quickly taking Lan Yuxi's hand and leading her to another office.
Mu Luxi smoothed her chest and let out a long sigh. "Thank goodness I'm not pregnant. If I were, the baby would be scared out of me by your Sixth Brother."
Lan Yuxi's lips tightened. "Sit here and calm down. I'll call Seventh Brother and ask what's going on... By the way, what illness does that Yin Lu have?"
"Cerebral arteriovenous malformation."
Lan Yuxi paused. "How far has it progressed?"
"There are already points of bleeding. If she doesn't have surgery soon, it could be life-threatening. According to her, she started showing symptoms a year ago, but she refused surgery, which is why it has worsened."
"Why did she refuse surgery?"

"Did Sixth Brother tell you?"
Lan Yuxi raised an eyebrow and nodded.
"Since he's already told you, then I won't keep it from you anymore..."
