The next morning, as Nan Xiao entered the study for the nth time, he found Lan Yu Xi asleep in her chair.
He tiptoed to her side, and as if sensing his presence, Lan Yu Xi's eyes fluttered open.
Nan Xiao looked at her bloodshot eyes and reached out to stroke her head.
Lan Yu Xi wrapped her arms around his waist, "Didn't I tell you to sleep? Why are you down again?"
"I was worried about you. Go upstairs and rest." Nan Xiao bent down and picked her up.
Lan Yu Xi clung to his neck, "I'm hosting some guests tonight. If you have time, come back early."
Nan Xiao looked down at her, "Who are you hosting?"
Lan Yu Xi yawned, "Haven't Xiang Dong and the others found their other halves? I want to invite them over, so everyone can get to know each other."
Nan Xiao raised an eyebrow. He thought she would tell him what she had found, but she was talking about the girls.
Lan Yu Xi saw through his thoughts and smiled, "I'm just waiting to see how long you can hold out. If you don't ask, I won't say."
Nan Xiao's lips twitched. He carried her straight back to the bedroom.
Lan Yu Xi rolled over on the bed, settling into her usual side. "Are you going to ask? If not, I'm going to sleep."
Nan Xiao curved his lips slightly, "Sleep, you've been up all night, your eyes are red."
Lan Yu Xi frowned and glanced at him. Seeing that he wouldn't ask, she reluctantly closed her eyes.
Nan Xiao smiled helplessly, pulled the quilt over her, and left with his phone. He wasn't unwilling to ask; he was afraid that if he did, she wouldn't be able to sleep.
Lan Yu Xi was extremely tired and fell asleep quickly. Nan Xiao stroked her head affectionately and walked out with his phone.
Lan Yu Xi slept until nine o'clock. If it weren't for Ying calling her, she might have slept until nightfall.
"Mistress Xi, our people are in position."
"Any unusual activity in Ancheng?"
"No, he just returned home and is having dinner with his family."

After hanging up Ying's call, Lan Yu Xi dialed An Xi's number. "An Xi, are you at home or at the tea house?"
An Xi's voice, tinged with laughter, came from the other end of the line. "I'm at home. Chao Chao, Mu Mu, and Han Yi are all here."
"These little rascals! I just slept in, and they ran off to your place. Bring them over to my place. I want to invite Duan Xue and the others over for a gathering tonight. Help me brainstorm what to make."
"Okay, I'll bring them over right away."
Listening to her relaxed tone, Lan Yu Xi's mood also improved.
Ten minutes later, An Xi arrived with the children.
Lan Yu Xi stuffed food into her mouth, vaguely answering the children's hundred "whys."
An Xi shook her head helplessly, "I'll take you guys out to play for a while."

Chao Chao nodded, "We'll go upstairs to play."
Lan Yu Xi watched the children leave and smiled, leaning towards An Xi. "How is it? I've ordered the menu according to their tastes."
"It's good. You're very thoughtful. Yu Xi, add some fruit after the meal."
"Yes, this must be added. How about a salad? Speaking of fruit salad, I think no one can make it better than Big Brother."
An Xi looked at her in disbelief, "Big Brother can make salad?"
"Yes, didn't you know?"
An Xi pouted, "I didn't know."
Lan Yu Xi burst out laughing, "Are you jealous? It's okay, jealousy isn't that tasty. I'll call Big Brother later and ask him to come over tonight to make you a fruit salad."
An Xi's eyes dimmed, "Big Brother probably doesn't have time tonight. He has to meet a tea supplier."
"I gave him the information about Luo Jinwen," Lan Yu Xi said sheepishly, scratching her head. "Nan Xiao and I went to the tea house yesterday. Did Big Brother throw a tantrum when he got home?"
An Xi shook her head, "He didn't throw a tantrum, he was just full of regret. He said if he had known the Luo family's character, he would never have sourced from Luo Jinwen. Yu Xi, I apologize to you on behalf of Big Brother again."
"Don't say that again!" Lan Yu Xi said with feigned anger, "Don't do that anymore."
An Xi smiled and nodded, "Okay, I won't say it."
Lan Yu Xi smiled, "By the way, you'll be in charge of calling Nan Xiang Dong and the others later. Make sure they provide a dish that their girlfriends like."
"Got it, I love doing this!"
As soon as An Xi finished speaking, Nan Yao's call came through.
"Big Brother, Luan Sheng and I are at Yu Xi's place."
"That's perfect. Ask Yu Xi to look after Luan Sheng for a while, and you go see Qiu Shu Ying."
An Xi asked hesitantly, "Does it have to be today? Yu Xi wants to invite Duan Xue and the others for dinner tonight, and I need to help her with it."
"Then tomorrow."
