Qin He's ward was a standalone two-story building behind the main hospital. When Gu Qichen arrived, Shen Bin was already standing outside the building.
Gu Qichen glanced at it and was about to go in when Shen Bin stopped him.
"Mr. Gu, are you here to see Miss Qin?"
Gu Qichen's voice was cold. "How is she?"
"Her condition is very bad, so she cannot receive any visitors right now." Shen Bin stepped forward two paces, blocking Gu Qichen again.
Gu Qichen stood at the door, his face ashen.
He had to see Qin He!
Shen Bin's expression was stern. "Mr. Gu, we absolutely cannot let you in! The patient needs sterile isolation. Besides family, no one is allowed to visit, and this is also the Qin family's decision!"

Gu Qichen said coldly, "Do you think you can stop me?"
"The patient is recuperating inside the building. If you are not worried about it negatively impacting her condition, you can try to force your way in."
Shen Bin, the director of Qingcheng First Hospital, knew many influential figures in Qingcheng and always acted diplomatically.
Gu Qichen's brow furrowed tightly. Shen Bin was unusually serious and firm today, which meant Qin He's situation was indeed dire.
It wouldn't do to act outside the building.
Gu Qichen pursed his lips. "I'll wait here. Get me her medical records!"
Shen Bin replied helplessly, "This is the patient's privacy."
As they were talking, a harsh screech of brakes sounded from behind Gu Qichen.
He turned to see Lu Mingxi's car stopped with a puff of white smoke.

Shen Bin's face crumpled.
Neither of these two was easy to deal with, yet they both insisted on waiting here!
About half an hour later, a few more "guests" arrived at the building's entrance.
Shen Bin now understood Qin Yun's intention in having him guard the building.
Xu Wanwan, the eldest daughter of the Xu family, was even more impatient than Lu Mingxi. Being blocked by the security guards, she directly attempted to climb through a nearby window.
Shen Yilin also arrived, looking distressed, but he too was kept outside.
By noon, even the currently popular actress Yin Zi came over, looking worried.
Shen Bin looked at the several sports cars parked in front of the building, his head throbbing.

Qin Yun's gaze swept over Gu Qichen, who had followed closely.
"She's in critical condition, so please, none of you disturb her recently."
The courtyard fell silent for a moment, then Qin Yun suddenly looked at Gu Qichen.
"Gu Qichen, my sister drove you home yesterday, is that right?"
Gu Qichen's eyes were deep. "Yes."
Qin Yun let out a cold laugh. "And you let her drive back by herself?"
Gu Qichen's fist clenched silently.
After asking, Qin Yun turned and went back into the building.
In the courtyard, Lu Mingxi gritted his teeth. "What exactly is going on!"
Without seeing Qin He, everyone in the courtyard was filled with unease.
Time slowly passed. By noon, the sun had become fierce.
Gu Qichen sat in the courtyard, not leaving.
In the afternoon, Lu Mingxi received a call. Lu Corporation had an important meeting today, and Lu Mingxi's parents were furious upon learning he had postponed it.
By evening, Qin Yun emerged from the building again.
He first spoke with Xu Wanwan and Shen Yilin, persuading them to leave, then he talked with Lu Mingxi.
"He'er's condition is very bad, she's in danger of dying at any moment. I need to be here with her all the time, so don't distract me by staying here."
Qin Yun said, patting Lu Mingxi on the shoulder. "Lu Corporation still has many matters that require your attention. If anything happens with He'er, I'll call you right away. You should go back to the company."
