Back at the Qin family's residence, Qin He's expression was gloomy.
She first returned to her bedroom to wash up and change into casual clothes before heading to Qin Yun's study.
It was the weekend, so Qin Yun wasn't at the company but was at home handling some minor official duties.
Seeing Qin He's unhappy look, Qin Yun frowned.
"What's wrong? Did something happen at the Gu family's today?"
Qin He nodded and sat down on a nearby chair. "I ran into Gu Qishen!"
"You ran into Gu Qishen?" Qin Yun's expression turned cold. "You look so upset, what did Gu Qishen do to you?"
"It's nothing much, it's probably still about Lu Mingxi, men's pride at play." Qin He recounted what she had agreed to with Gu Qishen on the way back.
She hesitated for a few seconds, omitting the forced kiss.
"Gu Qishen said that if I break up with Lu Mingxi, he'll let the Lu family off the hook."
Qin Yun's eyes turned sharp upon hearing this. "You agreed to him?"
"My relationship with Lu Mingxi was fake to begin with, why should he bear this responsibility and needlessly face the wrath of Gu Corporation?"
Qin He said with a faint smile, "My initial intention in asking Lu Mingxi for help was to conceal the child's parentage. Since he thinks that way now, it's for the best."
"What about the child's birth certificate and household registration later? These all require a marriage certificate. Didn't we agree with Lu Mingxi on this?" Qin Yun's expression was icy. If it were Qin He's own choice, he would respect it.
But if Gu Qishen's threat was involved, it was a completely different matter!
"Brother, let's just leave it at that," Qin He said as she stood up. "Don't worry, I have it under control."
Qin Yun frowned deeply. He always cared about his sister's affairs, but her personality was too independent.
Qin Yun couldn't help but add a few more words. "If you really have it under control, you shouldn't go to the Gu family's old residence anymore." Frequent visits to the Gu family's old residence meant encountering Gu Qishen was inevitable.
Qin He's eyes flickered slightly. "Brother, what happened in the past is Gu Qishen's problem. I don't want to involve Grandma Gu. She still treats me like her own granddaughter."
Although she had lost two years of memory, Qin He believed in repaying kindness.
Gu Qishen's issues had nothing to do with his family.

Qin He smiled and changed the subject, picking up a document on the table. "Is this the procurement document for the West District?"

Qin He got up and washed. Standing at the washbasin, she saw the dark circles under her eyes in the mirror.
She had a night of "nightmares" last night. As soon as she closed her eyes, she saw Gu Qishen pinning her down in the car.
The man's presence was as dangerous as a dark vortex, waking her up several times.
"Beast!" Qin He gritted her teeth and cursed!
After washing up, she called her new assistant, Di Shishi.
When the call was answered, Di Shishi's voice was respectful. "President Qin."
Qin He smiled. "Can you drive?"

"Come to the Qin residence before 8:30. I'll send you the address."
Qin He added Di Shishi on WeChat and sent her the location of the Qin residence.
After sending the location, she went downstairs to have breakfast with Qin Yun.
While eating, Qin Yun and Qin He chatted intermittently.
"Mom called today and said Grandma's illness has improved, but she wants her to stay a little longer."

Qin He entered the office and asked Di Shishi to organize the documents.
Half an hour later, she arrived at the conference room.
This meeting was scheduled last night and was called on short notice. Qin He had not informed Gu Qishen.
Qin He's expression was cold. The two department heads responsible for procurement looked extremely nervous. Now, each department had personnel from both companies. Qin Corporation's staff were respectfully deferential to Qin He.
