Chapter 55 Bulma Begins Her Search for the Dragon Balls

Bulma took a deep breath of the mountain air and got back into the car, driving towards the peak.

"Vegeta, you liar! You promised you'd come back for me when I turned sixteen!" Bulma huffed, feeling a little annoyed.

Her bad mood prompted her to press harder on the accelerator, increasing the car's speed.

As Bulma drove, she suddenly spotted a large fish in front of her.

Bulma froze.

How could a large fish be in the middle of the road?

Startled, Bulma slammed on the brakes.

The car skidded, narrowly avoiding a collision with the fish.

Little Goku, who was carrying the large fish home, broke out in a cold sweat, his hair standing on end.

"You scared me! That was dangerous! Why were you walking in the middle of the road with a big fish?" Bulma lowered her window and shouted at Little Goku.

Little Goku looked confused.

"Is this guy a monster?"

"You monster, are you trying to steal my big fish?" Little Goku said, then he lifted Bulma's car and tossed it aside.

Bulma and the car tumbled in a heap.

"What's going on? Where did this wild kid come from?" Bulma shook her head, pulled out a handgun, and crawled out of the wreckage.

"Ah! A fairy came out of the monster!" Little Goku exclaimed.

"Oh no!" Bulma didn't hesitate and fired.

The bullet struck Little Goku square in the forehead.

"That hurts, that hurts so much..." Little Goku clutched his head, crying out in pain.

"What the heck? Why didn't it kill him?" Bulma was astonished.

"Idiot! How could that little thing kill me? My body is as strong as steel!" Little Goku shouted. "Monster! Let me teach you a lesson!"

With that, Little Goku raised his Nyoibo.

"Wait, wait, I'm not a monster! I'm human," Bulma quickly raised her hands in surrender.

"Human?" Little Goku paused, asking skeptically, "Really?"

"Really, just like you. Look," Bulma pointed to her body.

"Don't move, don't move!" Little Goku circled Bulma.

"You're quite suspicious," Bulma commented.

Little Goku examined Bulma carefully.

"You're a bit different from me, you look so fragile," Little Goku pondered, resting his chin on his hand.

"Of course, we're different. I'm a girl, and you're a boy," Bulma replied.

"Huh? You're a girl?" Little Goku was stunned.

"You country bumpkin, you've never seen a girl before?" Bulma asked.

"This is my first time seeing a girl..." Little Goku replied. "Grandpa told me when he was alive that I should be nice to girls."

"Your grandpa was absolutely right. But don't get any funny ideas about me, I have a boyfriend," Bulma giggled.

"What is a boyfriend? Can you eat it?" Little Goku asked curiously.

Bulma: "..."

"Yes, sometimes you can eat them," Bulma nodded.

"Uh..." Little Goku scratched his head, looking thoughtful.

Bulma wiped her brow.

Is he serious with that expression?

"A girl without a tail... Hehe, that's interesting," Little Goku suddenly noticed Bulma had no tail.

"A tail? You have a tail too?" Bulma was stunned for three seconds before noticing the tail behind Little Goku.

"All men have tails," Little Goku nodded.

"What nonsense are you talking about?" Bulma reprimanded. "Let me ask you, do you know anyone named Vegeta?"

"Vegeta? What does he do?" Little Goku scratched his head.

"He might be one of your people," Bulma mused.

"My people? What do you mean?" Little Goku didn't understand.

"Never mind, it seems you don't know him," Bulma shook her head, sighing in disappointment.

"I don't understand what you're talking about..." Little Goku became even more confused. He pointed at the car and asked, "But speaking of which, what is this monster? Is its name Vegeta?"

Bulma: "..."

"Ahem... That's not a monster, it's a car made by humans, and it's not Vegeta either," Bulma sighed.

This kid's intelligence is a real concern.

"So this is a car, I've heard of them. They look nice, but they're not very sturdy," Little Goku jumped onto the car and stomped on it a few times.

Bulma wiped her brow.

Thank goodness my family is the wealthiest in the world.

And Vegeta also gave my family a lot of jewelry before he left.

Let him stomp on this car for fun...

"Are you from the city?" Little Goku asked.

"I'm from West City," Bulma replied.

"Come with me. Since you're a girl, I'll treat you to a good meal," Little Goku invited.

"Let me make this clear, I have a boyfriend. My boyfriend is very powerful. If you do anything to me, my boyfriend will never forgive you," Bulma said.

Little Goku: "?????"

What are you talking about?

I don't understand at all.

"Come with me, I'll treat you to grilled fish," Little Goku led the way.

Bulma thought carefully.

This little guy also has a tail.

He should be one of Vegeta's people.

Maybe I can find Vegeta through him.

Alright... I'm looking for the Dragon Balls hoping to find Vegeta through Shenron.

It's a good thing to have this kid help me search for the Dragon Balls.

Bulma followed Little Goku, walking towards the summit of Mount Paozu.

Little Goku's house was at the end of the mountain path.

Little Goku led Bulma into the house where he lived.

"Grandpa, look, a girl has come to our house," Little Goku said, bowing to a Four-Star Dragon Ball displayed on the table.

Bulma's eyes lit up.

"It's a Dragon Ball! I found it, I can't believe it's here!" Bulma was overjoyed and snatched the Dragon Ball.

"Don't touch my grandpa..." Little Goku panicked.

"This is a Dragon Ball, how can it be your grandpa?" Bulma smiled. "I can't do anything about you. Let me show you something."

With that, Bulma took two Dragon Balls out of her pocket.

"Ah? You have a grandpa too? You have two grandpas," Little Goku was stunned.

"This, is called a Dragon Ball," Bulma smiled. "I didn't know what they were at first. After Vegeta came to our home, he told me about the Dragon Balls. There are seven in total. I found these two a couple of days ago. Once you gather all seven Dragon Balls, Shenron will appear and grant you any one wish."
