Chen Fan drove with Qin Shuran to the Mandala restaurant and they sat down in a corner booth.
Qin Shuran took the menu and ordered a Wellington steak, a vegetable salad, and baked lobster with cheese. Chen Fan glanced at the prices on the menu and couldn't help but feel a pang of pain.
The price of a single Wellington steak was as high as 1399 yuan, plus a ten percent service charge.
"What, feeling the pinch?" Qin Shuran saw Chen Fan's pained expression and a hint of triumph appeared on her face.
Chen Fan forced a smile. "Not at all, not at all."
Qin Shuran gave Chen Fan a sideways glance. "Dr. Chen naturally wouldn't care. He bought a car worth over a million yuan, so why would he care about a few thousand yuan for a meal?"
Chen Fan could only smile awkwardly.
He himself only ordered a regular steak.
Soon, the food arrived. This was Chen Fan's first time dining at the Mandala restaurant. He had to admit, the steak was juicy and flavorful with every bite. Chen Fan had never eaten such delicious steak before.
Seeing that they had eaten enough, Chen Fan stood up to go to the front desk to pay the bill.
However, as Chen Fan passed a booth, he noticed a man in a suit reach into a red wine glass on the opposite side and drop something into it.
The object quickly dissolved in the wine glass, leaving no trace.
Chen Fan frowned slightly at the sight.
The man in the suit noticed Chen Fan by the entrance and his expression immediately became flustered.
"Kid, mind your own business!" The man in the suit glared at Chen Fan in panic and threatened him.
Chen Fan did not linger at the booth but continued towards the front desk, intending to inform the restaurant to handle the matter.
After paying the bill, Chen Fan looked at his receipt and felt a twinge of pain again.
He thought to himself that if someone were to marry Qin Shuran in the future, they would need to have substantial wealth, or they would likely not be able to support her.
Even with money, they would probably be eaten into bankruptcy by Qin Shuran.
Shaking his head helplessly, Chen Fan walked back to his booth.
As he passed booth number 3 again, Chen Fan glanced inside.
He had already informed the restaurant, and they had agreed to keep an eye on the guests in that booth. They had also called the police and were waiting for them to arrive.
However, as Chen Fan looked into the booth, a familiar figure made him stop in his tracks.
"General Manager Sun? It's her?" Chen Fan was somewhat surprised. Sitting opposite the man in the suit was none other than Sun Xiao, the general manager of the BMW 4S dealership.
Chen Fan saw Sun Xiao just put down her wine glass and knew something was wrong. Sun Xiao must have already consumed whatever the man had put in.
Frowning slightly, Chen Fan walked towards the entrance of the booth.
The booths did not have doors, but they offered a reasonable degree of privacy. Noticing someone approaching the entrance, the man in the suit looked at Chen Fan.
When he saw that it was the same young man from before, the man in the suit's face immediately darkened. He glared at Chen Fan and snapped, "What are you doing? Don't you know that's rude?! Get out of here quickly!"
Sun Xiao also looked towards the entrance. When she saw Chen Fan, her expression faltered, and she appeared somewhat taken aback.
However, Chen Fan completely ignored the man in the suit. Instead, he called out to Sun Xiao with a smile, "Sister, why didn't you invite me when you came out for dinner?"
He also winked at Sun Xiao.
"Sister?"
The man in the suit was stunned, and Sun Xiao was equally confused.
But seeing the look in Chen Fan's eyes, Sun Xiao responded, "I came out for dinner with a friend, and I thought you'd be busy, so I didn't call you. Why are you here too?"
Chen Fan walked into the booth and pointed to the distance. "I came to have dinner with a colleague. Our booth is at the very back."
Seeing Chen Fan enter the booth and show no signs of leaving, the man in the suit became flustered and couldn't help but swallow hard. He asked, "General Manager Sun, is this your brother?"
Sun Xiao nodded slightly. "Yes, he's my cousin."

He then quickly checked his watch and stood up, saying, "General Manager Sun, I suddenly remembered I have something urgent to attend to. Let's reschedule for another time."
With that, the man in the suit prepared to leave the booth.
However, Chen Fan blocked his path. "Don't rush. I see you haven't eaten yet, and you haven't finished your drink. Why the hurry to leave?"
A bead of cold sweat trickled down the man's forehead. "I have some urgent matters to deal with, so I need to leave quickly. General Manager Sun, please don't worry, I'll pay for this meal. I'll pay."
The man in the suit apologized profusely and tried to exit the booth.
However, Chen Fan still made no move to let him pass. A smile played on his lips. "You're in such a hurry to leave, are you afraid my sister's medication will take effect?"
The man's expression froze, and he retorted, "What medication taking effect? I don't understand what you're talking about! Move aside quickly, or if you delay my business, I'll make sure you regret it!"

Sun Xiao's brows furrowed slightly. She looked at the wine glass in front of her and asked the man in the suit, "Did you put something in my wine glass just now?"

"Ah!" The man in the suit cried out in pain and his mouth immediately opened.
Chen Fan grabbed Sun Xiao's wine glass from the table with one hand and poured all the remaining red wine into the man's mouth.
"Cough, cough, cough!" The man in the suit immediately began to cough violently.
When the man in the suit recovered, he frantically bent over, desperately gagging and trying to vomit out the red wine he had just drunk.
