When Lin Xiaotian saw Chu Xiongfei, he mused that this fellow suddenly wanting to join the company was out of character. Based on his understanding of Chu Xiongfei, such a person would rather lie around and fester than go out to work. Moreover, with Chu Nianxue now in charge of the entire company, if he wanted money, he would likely just ask for it directly, rather than trying to find a job. His presence here must have another purpose.
Chu Xiongfei, with a beaming smile plastered on his face, asked, "Then when can I start?"
Lin Xiaotian smiled, "If possible, you can start working right away. I'll get you a security guard uniform. You can change into it and familiarize yourself with the surroundings by following the current guards." He added, "You should know how strict the company's security guards are. When you're with them, you'll need to maintain your leadership demeanor."
"Furthermore, upon joining, you will be the security captain, and the current captain will be your deputy." He warned, "Remember, don't be too arrogant or overbearing, otherwise, those security personnel won't care who you are. They might even beat you up. I'm telling you, if that happens, I will absolutely not let those people off. You should know that my daughter actually cares about me quite a bit, we just don't communicate much usually."
Lin Xiaotian nodded with a half-smile, "I am well aware of that." He continued, "Otherwise, why would I arrange a position for you in the company, and in such an important role?"
As he spoke, he began to walk away, and Chu Xiongfei quickly followed. This was a great, unexpected windfall. He had initially thought of finding a job to facilitate the theft of the treasures, but he never expected to be offered the position of security captain. This was akin to placing him right in front of the treasures. He could steal them however he pleased, as he would be responsible for security. If they were lost, his daughter wouldn't be able to send him to jail. At worst, he would have to compensate with money, which he didn't have, so he would have to rely on his daughter. This created a vicious cycle. Once he had benefited sufficiently, his daughter's headaches would be none of his concern.
Lin Xiaotian led him to the security room and beckoned to the surrounding security personnel. Most of those present were security management, as the company dealt primarily with antiques and pawn brokerage. The security personnel were elites, especially the captain who approached with a powerful stride, his eyes filled with determination and sternness.
"Mr. Lin, do you need us for something?" The security personnel had become familiar with Lin Xiaotian recently. Sometimes, Lin Xiaotian would impart some basic martial arts knowledge to them. Though it was rudimentary for Lin Xiaotian, it was perceived as incredibly profound by these men, who looked at him with admiration and fervor.
Lin Xiaotian smiled, "The gentleman beside me is Mr. Chu's father." He continued, "You all know how precious the antiques we've brought in are. Mr. Chu's father personally approached the company, feeling uneasy, and wishes to personally guard those treasures. Everyone, please assist him diligently." As he said this, he winked at the security captain.
Captain Ma was initially disheartened. These precious antiques were a test of their capabilities, and he had resolved not to disappoint Lin Xiaotian. However, hearing about this last-minute change in command left him feeling uncomfortable, as it implied a lack of trust. But when Lin Xiaotian winked at him, he sensed something unusual.
"Alright, we will follow the arrangements from above. Whatever Mr. Chu says, we will strictly adhere to it." Captain Ma declared, "Mr. Lin, please hand over the security captain position to Mr. Chu directly! I also have something I need to discuss with you."
Lin Xiaotian nodded and patted Chu Xiongfei on the shoulder, "Get acquainted with everyone. I'll complete the handover with the captain and get you a uniform shortly." With that, the two of them walked out.
The security personnel looked displeased, and their gazes towards Lin Xiaotian were filled with confusion. In their usual interactions with Lin Xiaotian, they had never thought he would do something like this. His usually easy-going nature suggested he wouldn't deliberately sideline their captain.
Captain Ma walked outside, his eyes filled with doubt, "Mr. Lin, what did you mean by that look just now? I don't quite understand."
Lin Xiaotian smiled slyly, "This fellow is just filling a temporary role here. Keep a close eye on him. When I send you a message, you can completely ignore him, even giving him ample time to act." He then whispered something into Captain Ma's ear.
The captain's eyes widened, and an expression of disbelief spread across his face. He instinctively tried to exclaim, but Lin Xiaotian quickly covered his mouth. "Come on, Old Ma, can you stop being so startled? If you shout it out, won't everyone know? This is still a secret plan." He added, "Just do as I say."
Captain Ma nodded vigorously, like a pecking chicken, and then asked doubtfully, "Does Mr. Chu know about this plan?"
"Not yet. But I will tell my wife that this must be done, otherwise, we'll face endless trouble in the future." Lin Xiaotian explained, "You'll know when the time comes. For now, I won't tell you too much. Remember to do as I say. If you do well, go find him a uniform and let him enjoy his authority for a couple of days." He continued, "You'll have to endure a bit for these two days. I'll speak to my wife, and you'll get triple your salary."
Captain Ma immediately straightened up and saluted Lin Xiaotian, "I don't need triple salary. Could you please guide me a bit, Mr. Lin?"
Lin Xiaotian chuckled, "You're quite clever. You're only at the external force stage now. To reach internal cultivation, you need a proper cultivation technique. Otherwise, you'll only practice the superficial aspects for your entire life, and your achievements will be limited." He elaborated, "Moreover, practicing external martial arts to its extreme can cause significant harm to the body. Both internal and external cultivation are necessary." He concluded, "Now, I will impart a mental cultivation method to you."
