Chapter 144 Are You Convinced

The stout shop owner walked in last, pulling down the rolling shutter of the jade gambling shop.

More than thirty people poured into the shop, all armed with iron rods, hammers, and wrenches.

The stout owner blinked at the scene, his eyes showing not anger, but a smile.

"Young Master Ye, I've found everyone you asked for."

"I never imagined this fellow would dare to lay a hand on you. It seems he's as good as dead today."

With that, he chuckled and stepped aside.

Ye Lingfeng's face contorted with rage as he pointed at Lin Xiaotian, "Beat him!"

"Beat him to death, but remember to leave him with one breath and one arm. He used some trick on me, and now I'm in agony. I need him to treat me."

Without hesitation, the men charged forward, their weapons aimed at Lin Xiaotian's vital points.

Their faces were brutish, exuding an aura of hardened criminals.

A palpable sense of malevolence emanated from them, and Lin Xiaotian felt it clearly, yet his smile didn't waver.

Ye Wantong was worried, clutching Lin Xiaotian's clothes, her eyes filled with tenderness.

"Can you handle this?"

"How can a man say no?"

Lin Xiaotian smiled brilliantly and pulled Ye Wantong into his embrace. "Xiao Tongtong, I'm not taking advantage of you. It's just that those scoundrels don't understand chivalry."

"Look at them, attacking from behind. They could have hit you!"

With the soft jade in his arms, Lin Xiaotian's eyes narrowed in a smile.

The comforting sensation made his heart race, especially with the prominent curves pressed against him.

Meanwhile, the attackers had reached Lin Xiaotian.

Holding Ye Wantong, Lin Xiaotian's legs moved like lightning, each kick sending a man flying.

His whip-like kicks cut through the air with a sharp whistle, striking the attackers with brutal force.

"Crack..."

The sound of breaking bones echoed.

The attackers retreated as quickly as they had advanced, with only about a third of them remaining, no longer daring to charge.

In less than a minute.

Their companions lay on the ground, spitting blood. Some had stopped breathing, their wide eyes filled with disbelief.

So many had charged, yet they hadn't even touched Lin Xiaotian's clothes.

The remaining seven or eight men would only be cannon fodder.

Fear flickered in their eyes, mixed with stunned disbelief.

They all wondered where this monstrous talent had come from.

Lin Xiaotian smiled, his arm around Ye Wantong's slender waist, and beckoned the remaining seven or eight men with a finger.

"Come on!"

The men involuntarily took a few steps back, fear evident on their faces.

"Giving up already?"

"Weren't you so arrogant just now, wanting to fight?"

"Why are you all backing away now?"

His gaze was laced with mockery. He then released Ye Wantong and moved like lightning.

In the next instant, he was in front of the remaining men.

Before they could react, his attacks landed.

"Bang bang..."

The dull thuds of heavy blows filled the air.

In the end, only the stout shop owner remained standing.

The stout owner's expression was one of stunned disbelief. When he met Lin Xiaotian's cold gaze, he shivered and snapped back to reality.

He knew he had encountered a formidable opponent. Without hesitation, he bent his knees and knelt on the ground.

"Sir, this was all his idea. He wanted me to find these people. I had nothing to do with it."

"I was just his errand boy."

He pointed at Ye Lingfeng and kowtowed to Lin Xiaotian. "Please spare my life. I'll never dare to do this again."

Lin Xiaotian walked over with a smile and kicked the stout owner squarely in the face.

His round face was now completely flattened.

His nose had caved in, his chin was level with his face, and his front teeth had been knocked out.

He somersaulted 360 degrees from the impact and crashed heavily to the ground, immediately losing consciousness.

Lin Xiaotian pushed a small cart over, loaded the exquisite jade pieces onto it, and looked at Ye Lingfeng. "I laughed last, while you scream in pain. Wait for your death, no one can save you."

With that, he took Ye Wantong's hand.

Her soft, delicate hand felt like holding clouds.

"Xiao Tongtong, what are you waiting for? Let's go!"

"Let's go home now!"

"We have billions worth of treasures in our hands. What if someone sees them and tries to snatch them away?"

Ye Wantong's cheeks flushed, and the warmth and security of his hand made her heart flutter like a startled deer.

Lin Xiaotian didn't dwell on it. Pushing the cart with one hand and holding Ye Wantong with the other, he walked out of the jade gambling shop.

He also pulled down the rolling shutter.

"Let's go. When we get home, I'll carve a beautiful piece of jewelry for you. Do you prefer a bracelet or other jewelry?"

Hearing this, Ye Wantong looked up. "I like pendants. But I want to use this violet jade to carve it. Only a small part is needed. Too much would affect our store's sales."

Before this, Ye Wantong would have been unwilling to let Lin Xiaotian waste such precious jade.

But now, she longed for a piece of jewelry carved by Lin Xiaotian himself.

Lin Xiaotian loaded the jade onto the cart and drove back to the villa.

As he was descending the mountain, he took out a thin, sharp knife, as light as a cicada's wing, from his luggage. This knife could cut through metal.

It was a gift from his master when he was young. Back then, he had used it often, but now, with his current strength, he rarely needed weapons.

Ye Wantong sat beside him, her hands supporting her chin, gazing intently at Lin Xiaotian.

Especially when Lin Xiaotian was meticulously carving, she felt her heart beat faster.

"You looked so handsome when you threw those guys out!"

"No wonder my cousin fell for you. It's a shame I seem to be a step too late, but it would be nice if we could live together like this forever."

Thinking this, Ye Wantong's pretty face grew even redder.

An indescribable feeling spread through her.

Lin Xiaotian had finished carving a pendant by then.

"Xiao Tongtong, this is your pendant. It's the first time I've carved jade. You've stolen my first time!"
