Manager Liu harbored resentment. If it weren't for Lin Xiaotian provoking those people, he wouldn't have ended up in such a predicament, nor would his family have suffered torment.
However, he obviously couldn't voice these thoughts in front of Lin Xiaotian. His eyes flickered slightly before he finally spoke.
"Perhaps it's because I don't want my family to endure that kind of suffering again. After all, my wife was tortured to death right in front of me."
"I truly don't want my family to bear that pain. Even if it means sacrificing myself, I don't want my family to die such a painful death."
"If they knew I had completed the task, perhaps in their joy, they would truly let my family go."
Upon hearing this, Lin Xiaotian was too lazy to listen to his nonsense any longer and directly pulled out his knife.
As the blade was withdrawn, a wisp of blood splashed from Manager Liu's shoulder. His eyes contorted with extreme pain.
"Come with me. Point out the direction of your home, and I can rescue your family, provided they are still alive."
"It's possible they were already killed by those people the moment you stepped out of your house. If those people were smart, they might have already left your home. But I don't think they would leave so quickly."
Lin Xiaotian's voice was calm, as if discussing an ordinary matter.
Manager Liu's eyes, however, held a flicker of hope. Without hesitation, he followed Lin Xiaotian to the car, dragging his injured shoulder. Within ten minutes, they arrived at his home.
It was a high-end residential complex. The security guards at the entrance wouldn't have let them in if Manager Liu hadn't shown his face.
They went directly to the seventeenth floor of Unit Two.
"This is my home. I didn't bring my keys when I left. Knocking now might alert them. Do you have another way?"
Lin Xiaotian tilted his head slightly to listen, a smile appearing on his face.
"Of course, I do."
Just as Manager Liu was about to ask what method, he saw Lin Xiaotian suddenly lift his leg and kick out.
The newly installed security door to their apartment was deformed and rendered useless by Lin Xiaotian's kick. The loud noise also startled everyone inside.
Four people were sitting in the living room, playing cards.
The sudden loud noise nearly made them jump out of their skin. Their gazes then shifted to the doorway. Upon seeing Manager Liu, their faces immediately contorted with extreme anger.
Manager Liu rushed forward, more concerned about whether his family was dead.
He only saw these few people and his voice trembled as he shouted, "Where is my family?"
"What did you do to them? Why can't I see my family now?"
The four men immediately charged forward and kicked Manager Liu. Their eyes blazed with furious anger.
"Damn it, you coward, you dare to make such a racket? You almost scared the hell out of me just now."
"Your family has already gone to the underworld. Do you want to join them?"
Upon hearing this, Manager Liu's eyes were filled with utter madness. "Didn't you bastards promise me that once I completed the task, you would forget about my family? Why are you going back on your word?"
"Tell me why you're not keeping your word, why did you kill my family?"
"We had no prior grievances. Why are you doing this to me?"
His voice trembled, and even as he was being punched and kicked, he didn't utter a single cry of pain! At this moment, the madness in his eyes grew increasingly evident.
Lin Xiaotian walked in from the doorway, his voice calm as he said, "So it's a bunch of petty thugs like you causing trouble?"
"I see no internal energy fluctuations from any of you, clearly not cultivators. Now I'm very curious, who gave you the order to do this?"
Upon hearing this voice, the gazes of the four men all turned. It was then they noticed Lin Xiaotian was also present.

Before the palm could land, Lin Xiaotian had already kicked out.
The force of the kick seemed to tear the air apart. This kick landed directly on the burly man's shoulder. If it had landed elsewhere, it might have killed him instantly.
The burly man was sent flying backward, his shoulder bone shattered and piercing through the skin. Blood dripped from the broken bone.
The agonizing pain made him involuntarily cry out. His eyes revealed disbelief. He had never imagined he would be so easily defeated.
Lin Xiaotian took a few steps forward and stood directly in front of him, smiling. "I only say things once. Are you going to talk or not?"
At this moment, the others around them finally reacted. Their eyes were filled with extreme anger. They hadn't expected Lin Xiaotian to act so decisively and swiftly.
They immediately pulled out their weapons and aimed them at Lin Xiaotian. They could tell that the person in front of them was far stronger than them and they were no match.
Therefore, the moment they moved, they didn't hesitate and pulled the triggers.
"Bang! Bang!"
Loud sounds echoed.
But in the next moment, they were horrified to discover.
Lin Xiaotian didn't dodge. As the fired bullets approached him, they seemed to get stuck in mud, hovering motionlessly in the air, still spinning rapidly.
However, the kinetic energy of the bullets lasted for no more than two seconds before it was completely depleted, and they clattered to the ground.
Lin Xiaotian's gaze then turned towards them. His face still wore a calm smile.
"Since you wish to die, I shall grant you your wish."
