Chapter 27 The Vampire Ancestor's Revival

Wang Yi stared at the scene before him in shock. Their King had inexplicably kissed a human! Wang Yi felt like he was on the verge of a breakdown. Could his mission still be completed?

Xing Yuan shot Wang Yi a cold glance, her tone laced with a warning. "If you don't want to die, you should know what to say and what not to say!"

"Your subordinate understands!" Wang Yi understood the King's intention for him to shut up. He silently wiped away a tear of sorrow, realizing he had unfortunately seen something he shouldn't have.

Xing Yuan silently gave him a blood seal. She had to admit, this secret technique was truly effective; there was no need to worry about anyone daring to betray her.

After taking some medicine in the evening, Xing Yuan went to bed early. As expected, vampires shouldn't try new foods.

The next day, as soon as Xing Yuan woke up, she saw the compiled information laid out on the desk outside. Yuan Wen Yue's identity and habits were not exactly a secret. Blass had spent some effort to verify the authenticity of the information before handing it over to Xing Yuan.

Xing Yuan meticulously examined the documents, even taking notes. On her notes, she carefully marked down her "Ah Jie's" likes and dislikes.

Ah Jie was the daughter of a Duke in this life, with a strict father and a loving mother. Unfortunately, her mother had passed away early, leaving her with only her strict father. Xing Yuan decided to use her own love to soften him.

Having some understanding of her own cooking skills, she decisively abandoned the idea of personally making a homemade lunch. But if she couldn't, someone else could!

She couldn't rely on vampires, as none of them could accept human food. At most, they could create food that looked very similar to human delicacies. Xing Yuan invested a considerable sum to buy a high-end restaurant and had the chefs there specially prepare food for her.

Money successfully made the chefs obediently do whatever she told them. After a day of preparation, Xing Yuan, during lunchtime, took two food boxes to the park in the Imperial Academy to find Yuan Wen Yue.

Xing Yuan meticulously dressed herself. Her emerald green dress made her look like a little green elf as she entered the forest-filled park.

Yuan Wen Yue was already accustomed to being alone, but when she sat in her usual spot, she couldn't help but anticipate someone joining her. After scanning her surroundings and not finding that lively figure, she quietly opened her lunchbox.

Just then, a pair of hands suddenly reached out from behind her and covered her eyes, followed by a voice saying, "Guess who I am?"

Yuan Wen Yue had sensed Xing Yuan's presence as soon as she appeared behind her, but she still played along, asking, "I don't know, who is this little cutie covering my eyes?"

Xing Yuan smiled and asked again, "Guess who I am?"

Yuan Wen Yue deliberately paused for a moment, pretending to think, then exclaimed as if she had just realized, "Oh! I've guessed it. You're Xing Yuan, right?"

Xing Yuan removed her hands from Yuan Wen Yue's eyes and moved to the front of her, striking a pose like a fairy scattering flowers. "Ta-da! Sister guessed correctly."

Yuan Wen Yue looked at Xing Yuan tenderly. "Did Xing Yuan come specifically to find me, Sister?"

"Yes! Don't you welcome me?" Xing Yuan admitted frankly, then added with feigned disappointment.

"Of course, I do! Sister is very happy!" Yuan Wen Yue affectionately patted Xing Yuan's head. So this is what cute little cubs are like!

"Sister, I brought you lots of delicious food. Can you try it?" Xing Yuan obediently moved closer, making it easier for Ah Jie to pat her head.

"What did you bring?" Yuan Wen Yue pulled Xing Yuan to sit beside her, her eyes full of tenderness.

"Hmm..." Xing Yuan opened the food boxes and handed them to Yuan Wen Yue. "Sister can look for yourself. I don't know what flavors you like, so I brought a variety. Some of them I can't even name. Sister, please try them. If you like them, I'll bring more next time."

The colorful pastries made Yuan Wen Yue daze. She hadn't eaten such sweets in a long time. Yuan Wen Yue picked out a bright red pastry, put it in her mouth, and took a gentle bite. The taste was surprisingly good.

"How does it taste?" Xing Yuan asked eagerly.

"It's not bad. Are these pastries made by the chef at your home?" Yuan Wen Yue found the taste somewhat familiar, as if she had eaten it somewhere before.

"No! I hired a chef to make them. Few people in my family eat these pastries. Also, we're so close now, Sister. You can just call me Ah Yuan from now on. That way, we'll be even more like sisters." Xing Yuan couldn't help but lean closer to Yuan Wen Yue. Ah Jie's scent was so pleasant, she wanted to take a bite!

Yuan Wen Yue nodded thoughtfully, feeling a little touched. It seemed Xing Yuan had specifically hired a chef to make pastries for her. However, Yuan Wen Yue looked down at the dazed little girl, a little concerned.

"Are you feeling unwell, Ah Yuan? Are you hungry?"

Xing Yuan patted her own face, trying to stay awake. "No, I've already eaten. It's just that Sister's scent is so nice! It's making me sleepy."

Scent? Yuan Wen Yue lowered her head in confusion and sniffed. There was no particular scent. She didn't usually wear perfume. But looking at Xing Yuan, whose eyes were barely open, she just thought children easily got sleepy.

"Then Ah Yuan can rest against Sister for a while!" Yuan Wen Yue said considerately. "Sister will wake you up before class!"

"Thank you, Sister!" Xing Yuan leaned against Yuan Wen Yue, feeling completely at ease. She was petite and, trying hard to keep her eyes open, climbed onto the lounge chair and rested her head on Ah Jie's lap.

The fine sunlight filtered through the gaps in the forest, illuminating them both. Everything seemed so warm and beautiful.

After a long while, Yuan Wen Yue checked her watch and gently called Xing Yuan's name. Xing Yuan groggily rubbed her eyes. Upon realizing she was lying on Ah Jie, she quickly got up and sat on the lounge chair.

"Be careful!" Yuan Wen Yue warned softly while carefully protecting her head.

"Mm-hmm!" Xing Yuan mumbled in response. Although she had slept very comfortably, this was only their second meeting. Would Ah Jie think she was too forward?

Xing Yuan glanced nervously at Ah Jie, then cautiously apologized, "Sister, I'm sorry! I didn't sleep well last night." It was all because she had been too excited thinking about meeting Ah Jie today.

While subtly rubbing her slightly sore legs when Xing Yuan wasn't looking, Yuan Wen Yue comforted her, "It's okay, it's normal for children to be sleepy. Alright, now Ah Yuan needs to go back to class obediently!"

Xing Yuan, who knew very well she wasn't a child, nodded guiltily. Even though she disliked attending classes, she reluctantly accepted this fact. She obediently said goodbye to Ah Jie, "Then Ah Jie, I'll be going back now. Can I come here to play with you again tomorrow?"

Yuan Wen Yue smiled gently and agreed, "Okay!"

Xing Yuan was relieved. It seemed Ah Jie wasn't angry, so she returned to her teaching building, looking back multiple times.
