An hour later, Feng Yi, feeling refreshed, got dressed and walked out of the study.
Gan Yu was about to start her work, and he didn't want to disturb her, so he bid farewell and left.
As soon as he stepped out of the study, Feng Yi saw Yan Fei, her face flushed, sitting on the ground and refusing to meet his gaze.
"This is interesting!"
"Yan Fei, why aren't you going in? And why are you sitting on the ground?"
Feng Yi smiled kindly, but Yan Fei glared at him.
"You… you two… I…"
Yan Fei was too embarrassed to speak. She had heard Feng Yi and Gan Yu doing *that*, how could she possibly go in?
Yan Fei secretly glanced at Feng Yi. She hadn't expected him to be so… capable, to last a whole hour!
As she peeked, Yan Fei's gaze inadvertently drifted to Feng Yi's lower half.
"Gan Yu is inside. If you're looking for her, you can go in!"
Feng Yi thought, "Look how flustered the little girl is, she can't even speak properly!"
Feng Yi didn't think much of it, assuming Yan Fei had come to play with Gan Yu. He waved goodbye and left.
Only after Feng Yi's figure disappeared from sight did Yan Fei reluctantly avert her gaze, take a deep breath to compose herself, and walk into the study.
"Yan Fei, what brings you here? Is that case over?"
Gan Yu thought Feng Yi had returned. She looked up and saw Yan Fei, greeting her with a smile.
"Sister Gan Yu, how did that fellow Feng Yi bully you?"
It was better not to mention the case. The moment Gan Yu brought it up, Yan Fei thought of the client's treasured book.
As soon as she thought of that book, her mind involuntarily went to what had happened last night.
Combined with the sounds she had heard outside the door just now, Yan Fei found it hard to suppress her curiosity.
"Huh? Feng Yi didn't bully me! Why do you say that?"
Gan Yu stopped writing and looked at Yan Fei in confusion.
"It's like this, and like that… and like that…"
Despite feeling ashamed, Yan Fei, with a flushed face, tried her best to describe the situation.
"Yan! Fei! You weren't like this before. Honestly, what has happened to you these past two days?"
Although Yan Fei's account was somewhat rambling, Gan Yu managed to grasp some key information. Her face instantly turned red, and she glared at Yan Fei.
Yan Fei used to be such a pure and innocent child. How had she become so knowledgeable about unhealthy things? Some of the details she described were even beyond Gan Yu's understanding.
Gan Yu slapped the desk and began to interrogate Yan Fei.
"Nothing, I suddenly remembered a case I haven't handled yet. That's all for today, we'll talk next time!"
Yan Fei felt something was terribly wrong and quickly made an excuse to escape.
*Creeeak~*
Gan Yu wiggled her fingers, and the doors and windows automatically closed. Yan Fei's reaction was too strange; there must be something going on!
"Speak! Otherwise, you know what will happen…"
Gan Yu stood up, blocked the doorway, and looked at Yan Fei sternly.
"Since it's come to this, I can't hide it anymore. Remember that peculiar client? When I went under his bed, I found a mysterious picture album…"
Unable to fight or escape, Yan Fei felt that coming to find Gan Yu today had been a mistake.
She briefly recounted the events to Gan Yu, naturally omitting the part about last night.
"I see. What about the picture album? Let me see!"
As one of the involved parties, both Feng Yi and Yan Fei had seen the album, and Gan Yu definitely didn't want to miss out.
"No! I didn't bring it with me!"
Yan Fei refused immediately, but her subconscious action of covering her chest revealed her secret.
"Is that so? Stand still and let me see…"
Seeing Yan Fei's words and actions contradict, a slight smile curved Gan Yu's lips. She extended her hands in pursuit of truth.
"Sister Gan Yu, no! Please don't…"
To protect her secret, Yan Fei resisted with all her might.
For a moment, it was a scene of untold tenderness, though alas, there was no one to appreciate it.
Yan Fei was no match for Gan Yu. After only two rounds of resistance, she was defeated.
Glaring at Gan Yu as she flipped through her treasured picture album, Yan Fei wrapped her scattered clothes tightly around herself and shed tears of grievance.
"Yan Fei, at your young age, how can you look at such things!"
Gan Yu immersed herself and Feng Yi in the story, her face growing redder with each page. She couldn't help but spit at Yan Fei beside her.
"Sister Gan Yu, I was wrong. I'll take it and throw it away right now!"
Yan Fei chimed in, getting up to snatch the album from Gan Yu's hands, but Gan Yu dodged her with a feint.
"This book is confiscated! I'll return it to you when you're older! In exchange, I'll give you this book!"
Gan Yu quietly hid the picture album and tossed Yan Fei a book explaining menstruation.
"'An Explanation on How to Correctly View and Handle Menstruation'? Sister Gan Yu, did you write this?"
Seeing the signature at the end, Yan Fei looked at Gan Yu suspiciously. As far as she knew, Gan Yu didn't have such talent.
Immediately after, the image of the person who had told her stories flashed through Yan Fei's mind.
"Mm-hmm!"
Gan Yu nodded in agreement.
"It was Feng Yi who wrote it, wasn't it?!"
Yan Fei chuckled. She had heard about this book recently as well.
Combining Feng Yi's arrival in Liyue with the book's release date, Yan Fei suddenly felt as if she had attained Morpheus's insight.
"Huh? What nonsense are you talking about? I wrote this!"
Gan Yu blinked in surprise. She hadn't said a word, yet everyone seemed to guess the truth?
Ningguang was one, and Granny Linghua was another.
Now even Yan Fei was the same.
Wasn't she keeping a secret for nothing?!
"Hahaha, Sister Gan Yu, you can't lie at all!"
Yan Fei laughed triumphantly. She had finally won once.
Yan Fei opened the book in her hands, immensely curious about the content Feng Yi had written.
…
Meanwhile, Feng Yi returned to the Wangsheng Funeral Parlor. He first found Hu Tao, who was practicing talismans, and stayed with her for a while.
Hu Tao, however, found him to be a nuisance and kicked him out.
Feng Yi looked helpless. He had only tried to imitate her in carving talismans and wasted some materials.
Hu Tao: Those wasted materials, if made into talismans and sold, would have been Mora!
Feng Yi returned to his guest room, sat in meditation, and began to cultivate the method taught to him by Granny Linghua.
Time flies when cultivating.
When Feng Yi opened his eyes again, the moon was already high in the sky, and the stars were bright.
Rubbing his rumbling stomach, he went to the kitchen and cooked a simple meal with the available ingredients.
As he was eating, Feng Yi suddenly thought, "Hu Tao, who was making talismans earlier. That silly girl… she probably hasn't had dinner, has she?"
The more he thought about it, the more likely it seemed. Feng Yi turned around, prepared a few more exquisite dishes, and went back to where Hu Tao was making talismans.
"Have you eaten? I made some dishes. See if they suit your taste?"
Compared to her current sensible and diligent self, Feng Yi wished she was more mischievous and troublesome, as she was at an age of innocence and vivacity.
"I'll make a few more, earn more Mora, and then I can support you!"
Hu Tao smiled innocently, her eyes full of Feng Yi.
