Chapter 552 Cannot Intervene
Before detaching the eldest son from the planet, a receiving container had to be set up. That uncontrollable, terrifying monster needed to be suppressed in a prison at all times to ensure peace of mind. Therefore, Hao Ren and Raven 12345's shadow clone… well, her thought-projection clone, teleported into the Dream Plane ahead of time.
The golden ruined city of Alamera was at dawn. When Hao Ren arrived at the teleportation square, he saw the first bright rays of sunlight slanting from the end of the horizon, scattering brilliant light on those ancient and solemn ruins. He thought that the Tanarians must have a different visual mechanism from humans—because their city was so blindingly bright whenever it was sunny.
But anyway, starting this project at such a glorious moment seemed like a good omen.
"I plan to set up the research station in orbit around Tanagoth," Hao Ren said, pointing to the sky. "Tanagoth will have a big satellite in the future."
This planet did not have a large natural satellite like the moon, only three small rocky-core satellites orbiting it. Those three satellites were too small to carry the eldest son's prison. Hao Ren believed that when the "container" was built, it would become the brightest light in the night sky of Tanagoth.
Raven 12345 looked down at her hands. It was obvious that layers of ripples were spreading out from her. She felt a force hidden somewhere deep in the universe… or at some frequency, a force that was reacting to her visit.
This goddess sister curled her lips: "Tsk, it's been weakened to this extent and it still reacts. So damn sensitive."
"What?" Hao Ren didn't hear clearly and turned to ask.
"Nothing, time is precious." Raven 12345 waved her hand, grabbed Hao Ren's clothes, and directly teleported the two of them to Tanagoth's synchronous orbit.
After determining the best location to build the "container," Hao Ren stepped back slightly to give her some working space. Raven 12345 snapped her fingers casually, and although it was in a vacuum, her voice still spread like a soul-shaking echo: "Let there be light."
Instantly, a source-less light filled the dark space, and the overwhelming light suddenly filled the field of vision, quickly spreading towards the entire galaxy.
"Damn, too bright, never mind, let's work in the dark."
So the starry sky returned to darkness.
Hao Ren felt a cold sweat break out on his forehead: This goddess sister's power is indeed unprecedented, but… is she really reliable?
Regardless of Hao Ren's grumbling, Raven 12345 had already begun to build the base of the research station. She wanted to create a container with divinity. The shell of this container had to be able to perfectly defend against the eldest son's attacks, so as to avoid a breakout. For her current state, this was not an easy task.
So she concentrated on her work, using her thoughts to change the rules of this area.
In the vast space, wisps of source-less light began to emerge. Raven 12345 brought her spirit into contact with the underlying data of this universe, creating miracles that violated the laws of physics within a limited range by directly modifying the data. Energy and matter appeared out of thin air, and strange crystalline bodies that did not conform to the laws of this world floated in space, combining into a grand dome.
She created several crystal-like floating platforms, set up huge deep pits in the center of the platforms, and then covered them with crystalline domes. She also connected the platforms with huge, silver-shining beams, allowing them to exchange data and fix each other in place. As these things quickly took shape, a large number of runes with a faint blue glow spread across their surfaces, as if "growing" with life.
Hao Ren felt that this was the most wonderful, spectacular, and magnificent scene he had ever seen: crystal mountains appeared out of thin air in space, growing rapidly. The crystal-clear cliffs and domes, thousands of feet high, were enough to cover the sky in the blink of an eye. And between these rapidly growing crystals and metals, mysterious runes that no one could understand wandered around like living things, forming the control and calculation center of the entire facility.
As all this was going on, Raven 12345's figure was rapidly fading. This one-time-use, inferior clone was about to break down.
Tampering with the rules of the universe was a very energy-consuming thing, especially tampering with a special universe like the Dream Plane.
After completing the main part, Raven 12345 stopped. Now the entire crystal facility had become a huge artificial celestial body, its width comparable to the moon, connected by more than a dozen symmetrically distributed, misaligned ellipsoidal domes. Those domes were separated from the middle, composed of two semi-ellipsoidal structures of different sizes, and inside was a huge container—enough to hold the eldest son, and some of the domes even had space expansion attributes, and even larger things could be placed inside.
The appearance of this facility had stopped changing and growing, but light was still constantly shooting out from inside, perfecting its structure, "growing" out of the devices that a research facility should have. Raven 12345 looked at her work with satisfaction, gently assigned it an initial orbit, and reset the attitude of the planet Tanagoth to prevent this big guy that suddenly appeared in orbit from affecting the ecology of the entire planet below—after all, this crystal mountain range was already enough to affect the orbits of other planets.
"Although it was made in a hurry… it looks pretty good," Raven 12345 said, crossing her arms and boasting. "I'm not bragging about my aesthetic sense. I won an award at the Shadow City Craft Fair back then, especially… sigh, let's not mention it. Every time I mention it, I remember the star I lost back then. Where the hell did I throw that bear child?"
Hao Ren withdrew his amazement at the crystal mountains and floated to Raven 12345's side, looking at the goddess sister's body, which was so thin that it was almost transparent: "Are you okay?"
"What's wrong with me?" The goddess sister blinked, and after noticing her clone state, she said, "Oh, you mean this? This is normal. I said that I can't intervene in the Dream Plane for a long time. This clone can last for thirty minutes, which is the result of my recent adjustments to the balance of the two universes. Do you understand now why I have such great skills but still have to hand over this mess to you?"
Hao Ren frowned, and vaguely had some ideas in his mind: "What will happen if you intervene in the Dream Plane too much?"
"What will happen? You can tell by looking at the starlight in the distance." Raven 12345 shrugged and pointed to the vast starry sky.
Only then did Hao Ren notice that the distant stars were showing visible abnormalities: the starlight was turbulent and distorted, and various rays of light in the depths of the universe were dragging long tails towards this side, as if a layer of spherical glass covered all directions, distorting the scenery of the entire universe.
"Now it's just that there's something wrong with the optical phenomenon. Next, the problem won't just be the starlight, but the stars themselves," Raven 12345's figure became fainter and fainter. As she spoke, she shrugged helplessly. "You know, when a normal universe still has a terminally ill parasite hanging on it, being a god here becomes a very challenging thing. What I do every day is almost like lighting a cigarette on a gas tank and hammering nails on an eggshell. Any intervention I make in the Dream Plane—including observation, or even just looking at it—is enough to make this universe spasm. Even a projection with only a little bit of divine thought, like this one, will be enough to destroy this place in thirty-one minutes."
Hao Ren was dumbfounded.
"... So, work should be handed over to suitable people. It's called specialization," the goddess sister waved to Hao Ren. "This is the first time I've directly helped you in the Dream Plane, and it's probably the last time. My intervention in this world ends here, and the rest is up to you..."
As the last words disappeared in Hao Ren's mind, Raven 12345's figure finally completely merged into space. In the next instant, the stars of the entire universe returned to their positions.
Hao Ren touched his forehead, feeling a little sweaty.
Just now, this world was only sixty seconds away from doomsday.
"Damn it, if it's so serious… you should have said so earlier," Hao Ren complained to the empty space, and then muttered curiously, "But… what's with the terminally ill parasite?"
