Chapter 405 Initial Plan

Chapter 115 Ready to Go

After returning home, Hao Ren explained his meeting with Raven 12345 and arranged the traveling party. Actually, there wasn't much to consider regarding the participants. Everyone in the family wanted to go; it was more about deciding who couldn't be left behind—namely, Becky and the Four Heavenly Kings. These few had already stretched the rules just by coming from the Dream Plane, so it was best not to let them wreak havoc in other worlds.

"Now I know how difficult it is to raise a little kid," Hao Ren muttered while filling the fish tank for Doudou as they packed. "I have to bring her everywhere, or I can't rest easy."

Doudou, perched by the fish tank, watched Hao Ren curiously. Hearing this, she happily slapped the glass with her tail, "Not rest easy! Not rest easy!"

"She'll be able to get out and breathe some fresh air this time," Izhaks suddenly said from the side. "Her appearance won't cause any trouble there."

"They have mermaids in your world?" Hao Ren asked curiously.

Izhaks shook his head, "There aren't mermaids, but alchemy and magical beast modification are prevalent there. There are many bizarre artificial creatures. Of course, they don't come close to true life or being created from nothing, but it's perfect for explaining this little one's origin."

"We'll see," Hao Ren said, pursing his lips. "If things get dangerous over there, we'll still have to keep her in the portable space. This little one… I can't rest easy anywhere."

Doudou continued to slap the glass with her tail, "Not rest easy! Not rest easy!"

Those were the only words she remembered—and it was truly a wonder she knew they were talking about her.

After packing, Hao Ren had the data terminal activate the portal to the Giant Tortoise Rock Terrace docking bay. He had notified Kuiper Station in advance, and the ship's course and launch window were ready. They could set off directly upon arrival, saving Izhaks from his obsessive urging.

With a flash of white light, the group arrived at the magnificent spaceport. The Giant Tortoise Rock Terrace, like a floating mountain, hovered quietly in the air, radiating a mysterious silver-white glow as it awaited its master. Lanina was still caught in the "are these people reliable" dilemma when she suddenly found herself transported from a residential house to an extraordinarily vast place, even wider than the "Goddess Temple" she had seen before. She was momentarily stunned and looked around, "Uh… are we taking a ship? Where's the ship?"

Hao Ren pointed at the Giant Tortoise Rock Terrace, "That's it—the ship we're talking about is a spaceship, not a boat on the water, you know?"

Only then did Lanina realize that the behemoth before her was the "private ship" Hao Ren had mentioned. It wasn't that she hadn't seen ships flying in the sky. After all, she had been knocked down by one. She just never expected Hao Ren's ship to be this size!

"This is even bigger than the ship that knocked me down!" Lanina stared blankly at the Giant Tortoise Rock Terrace. "Wait… you're saying this is yours?!"

"Yeah," Hao Ren nodded, "Official vessel, but practically a private yacht. This thing is called the Giant Tortoise Rock Terrace. Knowing the name is enough, don't ask about the allusion—and don't ask who named it."

Lanina was still in a daze. She couldn't believe that this seemingly unreliable guy had actually produced such a ship. Her mind was still filled with Hao Ren's old house, resembling a demolition zone, and the near-condemned "Paradise." Comparing it with the ship before her and the incomprehensible but undoubtedly powerful port around them, she suddenly felt like something was off. "You have such great abilities… why don't you renovate your own house?"

"It's livable. Why would I renovate?" Hao Ren didn't know why this female demon suddenly asked such a question.

Lanina paused, feeling that she might have encountered a cultural difference, or perhaps that was just the rule set by the goddess here. In any case, it wasn't something she could understand, so she didn't pursue it.

Hao Ren led the group aboard the ship. The Giant Tortoise Rock Terrace quickly detached from Kuiper Station's control zone, gradually accelerating away from the solar system. The space station soon became a blurry bright spot behind the ship, and before long, the entire star system gradually receded. Once the ship fully entered outer space, the data terminal activated the warp drive.

The scenery transmitted from the holographic projection quickly turned pitch black. Hao Ren finally breathed a sigh of relief, pretending he had been concentrating on operating the equipment, "Alright, we'll be arriving at the World Gate soon. Just wait for this period."

The data terminal, stuck on the control panel next to him, muttered disdainfully, "What are you sighing about? You just pressed the automatic navigation button from beginning to end; this machine has been in control the whole time!"

Hao Ren remained unmoved and turned to look at the group on the bridge: Lily and Vivian had been on a spaceship before, and now they were each busy with things they were interested in. Vivian was knitting gloves with Lily's leftover yarn, but it didn't seem to be enough. She occasionally glanced at Lily with a meaningful look. Lily, on the other hand, had put on that ill-fitting captain's uniform again and was posing in the chair closest to Hao Ren, having truly embraced her role after proclaiming herself deputy captain. Nangong Wuyue was studying the patterns on the mermaid's tail, and Doudou was being studied.

Izhaks sat in the farthest position with a tense face. Everyone wisely chose not to disturb him: This tough guy had finally encountered something that made him uneasy.

And Lanina had been looking around non-stop since boarding the ship. Everything inside was novel and interesting to her, and more importantly—everything looked more advanced than what she had seen in Hao Ren's house. This finally gave her some confidence in Hao Ren and the goddess behind him.

Hao Ren cleared his throat to attract everyone's attention, "I'll go over the information I just got from the Space-Time Administration… oh, and the route guide sent from the World Gate."

Everyone immediately looked up from their respective tasks, waiting for Hao Ren to continue.

"According to the Space-Time Administration's records, Old Wang, your hometown is a remote world," Hao Ren said, looking at Izhaks, "How remote?… Let's put it this way, do you all remember the hometown of the Aerym Elves? There wasn't even an 'Imperial Governor's Mansion' there, only a World Gate and some outposts, automatic fortresses, and the like. That's a world at the level of an urban-rural fringe, and your place is even more remote—you don't even have a World Gate! As remote as our home…"

Vivian was immediately surprised, "You don't even have a World Gate? How do we get there?"

She had gone on missions with Hao Ren and actively learned about the World Gate-related knowledge, paying much more attention than the idiot Lily.

"The World Gate is mainly for the convenience of civilian routes because ordinary mortal races' aircrafts do not have the ability to travel across the void. They must go through the teleportation gate to reach another world," Hao Ren patted the console, "Our ship itself has a void engine. We can directly navigate there without the World Gate, it's just the difference between teleportation and traveling on our own. Izhaks' hometown is a nominal territory of the Empire, with only a Shirian Sovereignty Hub built, and it's hidden in a different dimension. So we won't go to the Sovereignty Hub this time. I got a coordinate from Raven 12345, and we can teleport directly to the vicinity of the place where Izhaks was taken away."

"The Ceraedon Mining Pit?" Lanina immediately knew what that place was. "Wouldn't it be too dangerous?"

"Of course, so we won't land directly," Hao Ren nodded. "The ship will intelligently select a relatively safe location to enter the material plane, and then comes the main point: How should we disguise this group of people? The first stop is the Demon World. How can we pretend to be regulars…"

"I don't have a problem," Lanina said, playing with her slender succubus tail, with a slightly nostalgic smile on her face. "Succubi are very common there, and my appearance isn't too eye-catching. I just need to change my clothes. Wang can disguise as an ordinary Fire Demon, or just this image…"

Lanina looked at Izhaks, "This image is a bit like a human who worships demons and has a deformed body. There are many such people in the Demon Plane."

Hao Ren silently looked at Izhaks' face and nodded in contemplation, "So we can disguise as demon worshippers? This kind of person won't attract attention in the Demon Plane?"

"No," Lanina smiled, "Many humans are lured by power and fall into the Demon Plane. As long as there is a high-level demon following you, pretending to be the 'master,' other demons won't be interested in you. Although demons are chaotic, at least one rule is observed by everyone, that is, you can't steal other people's 'followers,' because there's no point in stealing them."

The group then discussed how to disguise themselves until the ship arrived at the World Gate.

(It's March… Since I'm idle anyway, everyone, please give me some monthly tickets.)
