Kobayashi Takuma, the head of the Dongying City branch, made several internal calls to his subordinates.
When all of these calls went unanswered, he opened his office door with a look of suspicion.
“Strange, didn’t headquarters just issue an order to thoroughly search for those experimental subjects? Why aren’t my subordinates answering their phones? Could they all be out searching…”
Kobayashi Takuma muttered to himself as he stepped out of his office.
However, upon seeing the unfamiliar man wearing a baseball cap before him, his heart involuntarily tightened.
He didn’t know why, but he suddenly felt a surge of panic and unease.
“Who are you?”
Sizing up the man in the baseball cap, Kobayashi Takuma maintained a safe distance and asked with caution.
“That’s what I want to ask you,” Chen Fan, keeping his head down, let out a cold laugh and then raised his head.
