Second Senior Brother

Chapter 914 The Mission

Task briefing: The nascent Middle East and Africa Empire is under attack by surrounding group armies, estimated to be around one hundred thousand strong. The attacking forces consist of American-aligned armed groups and approximately thirty thousand armed militia from the Middle East and Africa Empire.

Mission Objective: Rescue the Middle East and Africa Empire.

Major Contribution Requirement: Successfully defeat all surrounding group army factions.

Mission Departure Time: Three months from now.

Mission Reward: Ten million tons of oil from the Middle East and Africa Empire, and forty percent of the spoils from the surrounding group armies.

Chen Fan finished reading the report and turned to look at Bai Lin, who was clearly bored.

"With over a hundred thousand American-aligned troops and only thirty thousand militia from the Middle East and Africa Empire, how are we supposed to fight this?" Chen Fan asked.

Bai Lin replied, "We'll deploy over a hundred of you martial artists, and we'll also have twenty thousand armed personnel from District Thirteen providing support. It should be easy, right?"

Seeing Bai Lin's naive expression, Chen Fan really didn't know what else to say.

"Let's hope so. Based on my understanding of the Middle East, this might be a fierce battle," Chen Fan said.

"A fierce battle for you? Is the mission too difficult?" Bai Lin looked confused.

After all, in her memory, Chen Fan was always confident in everything he did, every mission. This time, he actually felt the mission was a bit difficult. He was a sub-god level martial artist.

"It's nothing to be afraid of, it's not like it's dangerous for me. I'm just worried that if the people going with me all die, I'll be left alone again," Chen Fan expressed his concerns.

"That's easy to solve. While you're gone for these three months, I can recruit armed personnel and new recruits for District Three for you," Bai Lin said, her eyes wide.

Upon receiving Bai Lin's response, Chen Fan said, "That's for the best. After all, they mentioned group armies, not ordinary troops. There will at least be anti-tank rocket launchers or heavy weapons."

"Don't worry, no one will die. They'll be equipped with the latest armaments developed by District Thirteen. Although it's still the same as before, it can withstand half a magazine of rapid rifle fire."

"I hope so. You should get some sleep too. I'll go to the mission room tomorrow to accept the mission," Chen Fan replied, looking at Bai Lin.

Bai Lin softly hummed in response, then hugged Chen Fan, who was sitting on the bed.

They drifted off to sleep together.

Early morning.

Chen Fan had already prepared breakfast, but Bai Lin was still asleep.

Chen Fan looked at the sleeping Bai Lin and couldn't bear to wake her, so he put the breakfast in the warming oven.

"Rest well, sleep," Chen Fan said after washing up and getting dressed. He then gave Bai Lin a deep kiss on her forehead.

"Mmm." Bai Lin murmured in her sleep and didn't respond.

Chen Fan left a note, squeezed toothpaste for Bai Lin, and then walked out of the apartment.

"What nice weather," Chen Fan remarked, looking at the sky.

"I hope today's mission will be easy."

Soon, Chen Fan arrived at the main base entrance.

He swiped his card and entered seamlessly.

Chen Fan quickly walked to the mission room. Although the staff had just started working, people were already lined up at the entrance, waiting to accept and submit missions.

"Good morning, everyone!" Chen Fan greeted some of the District Thirteen members he'd met yesterday.

"Morning, Brother Chen Fan," some of the new Seventh District members responded.

Then, the mission room door opened.

"Good morning, everyone." The staff inside the mission room also came out.

The broadcast from the mission room called for the District Thirteen members to queue up for mission handover.

Soon, the Seventh District member in front of Chen Fan accepted the mission he wanted.

Then it was Chen Fan's turn. He looked at the mission board and was stunned.

All the missions were E-rank, D-rank, and even F-rank missions like street fights.

Chen Fan looked at the mission board and was dumbfounded.

"Excuse me, where can I accept C-rank and B-rank missions?"

As Chen Fan spoke, the lady at the mission counter looked as if she had seen a ghost.

"Are you sure you want to accept C-rank and above missions? As a new member, shouldn't you start from the basics?" the lady at the mission counter asked.

Chen Fan didn't say much more, still insisting on accepting C-rank and above missions.

Seeing that she couldn't dissuade Chen Fan, the lady at the mission counter directly handed him a different form and warned him, "There have been defiant individuals like you before. They were all arrogant like you, insisting on accepting C-rank and above missions, and all ended up with a bruised ego. I'm warning you."

Chen Fan ignored her and flipped through the mission report, then shook his head.

"Are there any B-rank missions?" Chen Fan asked.

Seeing Chen Fan's forceful demeanor, although the lady chose to believe him, she couldn't help but remind him, seeing that Chen Fan was wearing new member attire, "You might not be able to accept B-rank missions. B-rank missions are usually for gangs or gang leaders..."

Chen Fan was not impatient. He knew the mission counter lady was kindly reminding him.

"Yes, it's fine," Chen Fan replied.

Seeing Chen Fan's strong resolve, the mission counter lady then handed him another mission manual.
