Chapter 410: Chapter 410: Who Is This
"Well, now we’ve got a problem. Between the two of us, we can only come up with five million. Where’s the remaining two hundred thousand going to come from?"
Yara Reagan was troubled and asked with concern.
Evelyn Clayton remained calm.
"If it really doesn’t work out, let’s ask Violet Ford. If she’s also interested in Aegis, we can give her some shares once we have them." Evelyn was unhurried, "If she’s not interested, I’ll just consider it a loan from her."
At this point, there’s no going back.
If Harrison Grant and Philip Lockwood really succeed, it will be them who are at a disadvantage.
Yara Reagan hesitated slightly, and after a while, she cautiously said, "Shouldn’t we tell James Grant about this? After all, it’s his dad pulling strings behind the scenes... Maybe James knows a way?"
Evelyn Clayton’s eyes flickered, she was silent for a moment, and then slowly said, "I don’t think we need to."
Seeing Evelyn’s expression, Yara Reagan wisely didn’t say more.
"Anyway, no matter what happens, I’m on your side."

Inside Thorne Holdings.
The company went through major changes recently, and with James Grant appointed as the new president, he plans to merge a financial company under his name into it. The entire company has been extremely busy with settling accounts.
Keith Donovan came to find James Grant and waited nearly an hour before seeing him.
"You’re quite the busy man now," Keith teased with a smile, "How come it seems like you’re busier than when you were at Atlas?"
James Grant was indifferent, "Get to the point. How’s the investigation I asked you to do?"
Keith Donovan tossed a file on his desk, "Take a guess."
James Grant didn’t open it, "My dear father has made quite a few enemies. At this point, I really don’t know where to start guessing."
Keith scoffed, "Guess the most unbelievable one."
Upon hearing this, James Grant raised an eyebrow slightly, as if surprised, yet unsurprised.
He picked up the file and flipped it open, his expression becoming more inscrutable as he read through it.
"Summer Monroe has been keeping a low profile lately. They say she’s barely been to work, claiming to be recuperating at home. But in reality, her and Soren Foster haven’t been idle."
Keith spoke leisurely and then pulled out a stack of photos from his bag to give to James Grant.
"Summer has been colluding with Matthew Sullivan. Summer provides the money, and somehow, Matthew got his hands on evidence of your family’s old man evading taxes, handing part of it over to the police."
"However, Matthew is smart. He hasn’t revealed too much. Currently, even the police are only suspicious and haven’t reached the point of a conviction. It’s very possible that if Harrison Grant handles it properly, this matter will soon blow over. But if Matthew, the traitor, releases any bombshell evidence, then all bets are off."
With that, Keith showed a faint smile, "But now that you know, whether The Grant Group survives or not is up to you."
James Grant didn’t immediately respond. As he flipped through the photos, he paused slightly when he reached one of them.
He frowned, looking at the people in the photo.
It seemed like Soren Foster and another woman whose face was blurry.
"Who’s this?" James pointed to the woman’s face in the photo; he vaguely remembered seeing her somewhere.
Keith leaned in to take a look and was momentarily puzzled, "I don’t know. It was taken when I had someone tailing Soren. The woman was sick, and Soren took her to the hospital."
James Grant’s eyebrows furrowed slightly. A slight inexplicable uneasiness arose inside him.
The woman in the photo wasn’t Summer. Why would Soren be so close to someone other than Summer?
"Alright, let’s not focus on that for now. I’ve been meaning to ask you," Keith leaned closer, curiously looking at James Grant, "Are you planning to return to the Grant Family or not?"
