Chapter 133: Chapter 133: Treacherous Turncoat

"Bring the witness to the stand," the judge adjusted his glasses and said.

Under the watchful eyes of many, a plainly dressed, honest-looking middle-aged man stepped forward.

He slightly lowered his head, seemingly not used to such a serious scene.

The judge looked at him, "What do you have to say? What are you here to prove?"

"I... I want to say, I want to say that there are indeed problems with the goods from Atlas Group!" The middle-aged man took a deep breath and poured out the words like beans from a bamboo tube, "I work under Iris Lockwood. To get profits from the orders, she often mixed in defective and substandard products, and... and threatened other staff not to speak out!"

"Now, I really can’t stand it anymore! Judge, please unveil the truth to protect the market environment. Only then can the economy develop better and better!"

As he got more emotional, the middle-aged man’s voice began to tremble.

His words caused an uproar, and it was not until the judge coughed twice to signal for silence that the murmurs gradually stopped.

"No, I did not! There’s no problem with the goods, I just accidentally forgot to sign the documents. Judge, believe me, Atlas Group is financially strong, how could it damage its reputation over such a small amount of money? Luke Lewis is lying, he must have been paid by the other side!" Iris Lockwood also panicked.

"Iris Lockwood, sit down!"

Evelyn Clayton gritted her teeth, raising her hand to restrain the agitated Iris Lockwood, forcing her back into her seat.

What’s the use of saying all this?

The evidence has a critical flaw, no amount of emotional appeal can make up for it!

Finn Lawrence’s side was smug; the joy of victory spread among them.

"The judgment is as follows: Atlas Group and its subsidiary studios are to compensate for the full losses and complete the payment within fifteen days from the date of judgment."

With the sound of the gavel, the case was brought to a close.

Evelyn Clayton felt a heaviness in her heart, somewhat stifled.

James Grant, however, did not seem as serious as Evelyn Clayton. He was calm and unbothered, seemingly unfazed by the situation.

The court session ended, and the jurors left the courtroom.

The vendors were full of arrogance. Before leaving, they seemed to talk to themselves, yet unclear who they were addressing, "It seems the law is still just! Hopefully, this will teach everyone a lesson and look forward to our next cooperation!"

This arrogance made Evelyn Clayton’s brow twitch, yet James Grant remained composed as ever.

Outside the court, Luke Lewis had not left yet, seemingly waiting for someone.

Humiliated in front of numerous cameras, Iris Lockwood’s face darkened. However, she was left speechless by the confrontation, and could only turn and leave the court angrily.

As soon as she walked out the door, she caught sight of Luke Lewis’s back, and her anger flared up even more. Without any hesitation, she approached him and loudly questioned him condescendingly, "Why did you betray me!"

Luke Lewis was startled by Iris Lockwood’s sudden appearance.

"Ungrateful! I’m truly cursed to have encountered such bad luck with you!"

The two argued fiercely, not realizing that some media reporters, who hadn’t left yet, quietly raised their cameras from the shadows.

Just then, Evelyn Clayton walked out of the court and saw from afar Iris Lockwood and Luke Lewis arguing vehemently, rushing forward to stop them, "What are you doing? Stop fighting!"

James Grant followed closely behind.

Seeing a few reporters nearby randomly taking photos with their cameras, a cold gleam flashed through his eyes. With long strides, he went forward to negotiate.

"Want to see Atlas Group’s joke? Do you have the qualifications?"

As he spoke, his expression darkened as he scanned around, silently noting the names of the media outlets.
