Chapter 200: Chapter 200: You Can’t Lose

She lightly cleared her throat, accepted the documents, and thanked him, "Thanks, I must go now, I have things to do."

Jasper didn’t say anything, so Evelyn picked up her bag and the documents, stood up, and left around Jasper.

She didn’t notice that behind her, Jasper stood in place, looking at her with a few traces of shrewdness in his eyes.

Evelyn drove back to her apartment, hastily shut the door, and casually threw her bag onto the sofa.

She sat on the carpet beside the coffee table, took out the documents, and examined them carefully.

The documents contained information not available in the archives; almost all of them were projects collaborated between Summer and The Grant Group.

But why wasn’t it in the archive room?

She flipped a few pages and found that in the later collaborations, the funds Summer provided to the Grant Family were exorbitantly high, in the billions.

Did the Grant Family save Summer’s life?

What kind of collaboration would make Summer give so much money?

Evelyn furrowed her brows tightly and scrutinized the documents page by page.

The phone beside her rang, and out of the corner of her eye, she saw it was a call from Iris Lockwood.

"Evelyn Clayton, I’m at the café. Bring Yara Reagan over."

She put him on speaker, continuing to look at the documents while finding time to respond, "For what?"

"Just bring her. If you don’t come, you’ll definitely regret it! I’ll give you twenty minutes; if you’re not here, I’m leaving."

Iris seemed to be in a hurry.

Evelyn didn’t have time to answer before the call was hung up, leaving her feeling a bit annoyed.

But thinking about Iris’s urgent tone, she became suspicious.

After a while, she still sent a message to Yara, asking her to go to the café.

Evelyn put away the documents, took her car keys, and went out to meet Yara.

The café.

From afar, she saw Yara waiting at the café entrance. Evelyn parked her car and went over.

"What’s the rush? Is something up?"

"Let’s go inside first."

Evelyn wasn’t sure either, and led Yara inside.

At the entrance, she saw Iris and across from her, a man in a suit.

She brought Yara over to sit down.

"Evelyn, let me introduce you. This is the project manager from The Hanson Group."

Evelyn nodded politely.

But Iris turned her attention to Yara.

"Miss Yara, the new project from The Hanson Group is top-notch in the design industry. This project for you is a guaranteed profit."

Yara and Evelyn simultaneously gaped at her words.

"What, for, for me?"

Yara pointed at herself, unbelievably astonished.

Iris nodded proudly, "Yes, for you. Director Hanson, please give her the contract."

The man referred to as Director Hanson brought out the documents and placed them in front of Yara.

"Miss Yara, we’ve already signed. Please review the contract, and if there are no issues, you can sign."

Evelyn took the documents and examined them thoroughly, finding no hidden clauses or legal loopholes.

It was just a standard project contract.

She furrowed her brows slightly, since when was Iris this generous?

Yara took the contract Evelyn handed over. Seeing Evelyn’s look, she knew there were no issues, and only then did she dare to sign her name as the second party.

"The contract is signed. Miss Yara, I hope we have a pleasant cooperation."

Yara extended her hand politely to shake hands with Director Hanson.

Director Hanson then greeted Iris and left the café.

Watching the man walk away, Evelyn couldn’t help but voice her concern, "Iris, why aren’t you signing this contract?"

The contract was fine, and such a good project, just given to them for free?

She didn’t believe Iris could be so kind-hearted.
