Chapter 1245: Chapter 1236: Accident (3)

Female celebrities always appear harmonious on the surface, but behind the scenes, it’s a game of intrigue.

Director Ji wanted to say something, but Xia Siyu rarely looked so serious: "Director, can you give me a moment to gather my thoughts? I’ll be back to hear your opinions in three minutes."

Director Ji was usually a very strict director, but seeing Xia Siyu so earnest and serious, and considering it was only three minutes, he wouldn’t be unkind: "Alright, three minutes then."

Xia Siyu picked up her phone, thought for a moment, logged out of her alternate account, and logged into her main account on Weibo, ignoring everything else and just liking Shang Feifei’s post.

In fact, after liking the post, she wanted to write something. Maybe a reply, a repost, or just post a new Weibo on her own.

But when it came to it, she couldn’t type a single word.

What should she say, how should she say it? Some memories don’t need words. Some competitions don’t need words either. She and Shang Feifei were competitors, but both realized that their rivalry couldn’t be settled with a few harsh words. The goal was there; they both needed to stay grounded and strive to improve themselves.

Even Shang Feifei now believed that if she received an award through company operations, it would insult her hard work.

After liking the post, Xia Siyu logged out and switched accounts. Not because she handed over her account to the company after renewing her contract, but because she sometimes couldn’t control her impulses and liked to post controversial topics or accidentally liked posts with her main account. To avoid trouble, she preferred to wear a mask and lurk in the gossip sections.

Since Shang Feifei didn’t specify her idol in the video, Xia Siyu just gave a like and left. Although this matter stirred some discussion in their fan circles, it didn’t cause a significant wave. Xia Siyu and Shang Feifei didn’t buy trending searches, and the reality show team didn’t know their interaction was due to the extended version, so the topic quietly faded away.

However, Shang Feifei’s fans, who considered themselves superior, looked down on Xia Siyu’s "gesture of goodwill," which aroused dissatisfaction among Xia Siyu’s fans. Both sides mocked each other in their respective fan circles. But such trivial matters happen every day in fan culture, and they don’t stir up much trouble.

After liking the post, Xia Siyu put down her phone and discussed the plot with Director Ji. They were filming abroad for just two weeks. They spent a week on the dialogue scenes, and the main action scenes were saved for last.

Yesterday, Xia Siyu had just finished performing "parkour" in the stairwell of Checkpoint City’s borderline, rolling and jumping. Although she was harnessed with Weiya, the terrain was complex, and it was still quite dangerous.

Today, they were shooting a chase scene. She could ride a heavy motorcycle, and some scenes involved her fighting and chasing opponents on the bus while riding the bike herself. According to the script, the male lead was supposed to bring the undercover plainclothes officers infiltrating abroad, while the female lead, with the second male lead and a group of underlings, engaged in a cat-and-mouse game with them.

However, during filming, Xia Siyu could ride the motorcycle herself, while Jiang Jiahe had to use a stunt double for most parts, only appearing for the close-up shots.

Action scenes rarely succeed in one take, especially these chase and fight scenes. They needed to create models and calculations online beforehand, determining where to drive, to what extent, at what speed, and how to crash. The female lead had to figure out how to fly, how to jump from the motorcycle onto the bus, then fly onto the top, and finally jump to the adjacent building.
