Chapter 163: Let’s See If You Have The Guts
Sabaody Archipelago’s Grove 66.
This number sounds quite auspicious, and its underlying meaning is extraordinary.
Simply put, this is the island exclusively for Celestial Dragons, allowing them to shuttle directly between the World Government and Sabaody Archipelago. Neither Marines nor World Government personnel are permitted to use this passage; only Celestial Dragons, and those approved by Celestial Dragons, are allowed.
Generally, this passage is accompanied by Marine escorts, but in truth, no one has the guts to hijack a Celestial Dragon, especially not right under the noses of Marine Headquarters and the World Government. But today, something very interesting happened.
Several hours ago, Alucard and Red, who had been fighting on Sabaody Archipelago, stormed into Grove 66, the exclusive passage area for Celestial Dragons, and continued their battle there.
The fact that Grove 66 was Celestial Dragon territory on Sabaody Archipelago was no secret. It was a forbidden zone that pirates and bounty hunters absolutely dared not enter; even the Pirate King had never set foot there.
Yet today, two world-class pirates had burst in at once. This wasn’t something that hadn’t happened in years; it was something that had never happened before!
Upon seeing the World Government flag fluttering on a flagpole beside a magnificent hotel in the distance, Alucard’s lips curled into a grin. He suddenly accelerated, reaching the flagpole.
There were still many World Government employees wearing dark blue, almost black, suits here. When they saw Alucard appear, after two seconds of panic, they quickly drew their guns from inside their suits and fired continuously.
This is Celestial Dragon territory! If anything happens, they’ll all be screwed!
Letting the bullets tear his body to shreds, Alucard ripped out the nearly ten-meter-tall flagpole, roots and all. He swung it like a weapon, sending all the World Government employees flying, then hurled it like a javelin towards Red.
"Hmph!" Red coldly snorted, extending his right hand in a thrusting motion, letting the tip of his umbrella touch the top of the flagpole, and with a single breath, deflected it back. In an instant, the flagpole zipped past Alucard’s cheek, directly punching a hole through the magnificent hotel behind him.
"Waaahhh!!!" The World Government personnel and some Marine guards standing nearby saw the golden hotel with an incredibly obvious hole punched through it. Their eyes nearly popped out of their sockets in fright. One of the World Government employees clutched his temples, on the verge of a breakdown.
"That’s the Celestial Dragons’ personal hotel!"
"What good have you done?!"
Everyone screamed, on the verge of collapse. That’s the Celestial Dragons’ property, it’s the Celestial Dragons’ property!
Hearing the screams of the World Government and Marine personnel, Red’s lips curved into a subtle, contemptuous smile. Then he looked directly at Alucard. "Is this your ’game’?"
Alucard surveyed the surrounding buildings, all constructed from the finest, high-grade materials. Truly befitting the world’s top nobles. Wouldn’t destroying such things be incredibly interesting?
Alucard himself had no real interest in these objects. The crucial point was that the owners behind all of this were the Celestial Dragons. Wouldn’t that make it very interesting? What kind of reaction would those guys have if he smashed their territory?
No, not he alone.
Just as Alucard thought this, a massive figure suddenly descended from the sky, crashing heavily onto the marble floor between Alucard and Red, shattering the jade-tiled ground and showcasing his immense strength.
The Marines all showed excited expressions, cheering loudly. It was their Fleet Admiral, Kong!
His speed was slightly slower; unlike Alucard and Red, who disregarded everyone else and charged recklessly, Kong had tried to avoid crowds and buildings, which was why he arrived at this moment.
Kong turned, gravely looking at the hole the flagpole had punched into the center of the hotel, then turned back to Alucard. "This is a ’game’?"
"No need to be so serious, is there?" Alucard slightly spread his hands, smiling. "How about we fight right here? If you’re a Marine, no matter where you are, shouldn’t you deal with criminals?"
Alucard also held expectations for Kong’s choice.
Would he disregard the fact that this was Celestial Dragon territory and engage in a death battle with him and Red here? Or would he back down due to the pressure from the Celestial Dragons and the World Government?
If Kong chose the latter, Alucard would categorize him as a coward.
"Alright, let’s see if you have the guts, Marine Fleet Admiral," Alucard finished his question and stopped, waiting for Kong’s response.
A hint of curiosity and anticipation also flickered in Red’s eyes. He, too, was interested in his old rival Kong’s choice. Would you choose to uphold the ideals of the Marines, or would you back down under the pressure of the World Government and the Celestial Dragons?
To their regret, Kong thrust both hands out, unleashing an air wave that pushed Alucard and Red back three steps. Then, the muscles beneath his suit bulged with veins, and he roared, "Don’t underestimate this old man!" As he spoke, Kong’s arms turned black, covered in Armament Haki.
Seeing Kong’s explosive surge, the World Government personnel shrieked, "Fleet Admiral Kong, this is the Celestial Dragons’ territory! If they blame us, we can’t bear the responsibility!"
The World Government personnel knew better than anyone how petty the Celestial Dragons were, and they also knew what kind of devastating damage Kong would inflict once he started fighting. Of course, the World Government personnel didn’t want Kong to make a move.
"I am the Fleet Admiral of Marine Headquarters!!!" Kong’s roaring burst of power was no less than Whitebeard’s. The explosive winds sent Alucard and Red’s long hair and cloaks fluttering wildly.
"Heh..."
"..."
Alucard chuckled, while Red grunted, though a slight smile still lingered on his lips.
