Chapter 104: Unkillable

Chapter 104: Unkillable

Kuzan’s eyes narrowed at the suggestion. After some thought, he said, "I don’t think that’s wise. According to intelligence, they’ve been fighting here for over two days, and there’s no telling when the Beasts Pirates might arrive. I think we should settle this quickly."

Due to his earlier enlistment, Sakazuki’s rank was one level higher than Kuzan’s, but their overall strength was comparable. At their level of power, it was more about strength than rank, so Sakazuki didn’t immediately pull the "I outrank you, you have to listen to me" card.

However, in terms of both rank and strength, Garp absolutely dominated them both. So, both men looked to Garp, awaiting his decision.

Garp closed his eyes in thought. Both Sakazuki and Kuzan had valid points. The key was the unpredictable nature of the New World; pirate movements were hard to foresee. If the Beasts Pirates arrived, things would get complicated.

After a moment of contemplation, Garp opened his eyes and said, "First, inform Headquarters about the situation here. Have them dispatch reinforcements to guard against Kaido’s men."

While the Beasts Pirates’ main crew members were all Devil Fruit users, each one also commanded a large number of ordinary subordinates. Combined, their numbers would far exceed Garp’s fleet, so reinforcements were necessary.

Kuzan was startled. "But Garp-san, even if we dispatch personnel from G-5, it will take over four days. Before then, no one can guarantee Kaido’s actions during the battle."

"How can we hunt down a guy like Kaido without taking some risks?" Garp clenched his fists and placed them on his hips. "Ahahaha! This little risk is nothing compared to chasing Roger!"

Alucard leaped down from the stone mountain, his injuries instantly regenerating as if they’d never been there. Seeing this, Kaido spat, "The unkillable brat."

Alucard’s attention, however, was on the mountain peak not far away. "Oh, is that the legendary Marine Hero Garp? And the other two, one is Kuzan, and the other... such intense heat, that must be Akainu, right?"

During this period, Sakazuki often covered the upper half of his face with a hooded cloak, making it hard to discern his true appearance. However, his exaggerated body heat made him faintly recognizable.

Alucard believed he hadn’t yet reached a level where the Marines would deploy such a luxurious lineup just to capture him. It had to be that bastard Kaido who lured Garp and the others here.

"You brat, do you have time to look around?"

While Alucard observed Garp and the others, Kaido charged like an armored tank. He had, of course, also noticed Garp and his companions, but paid them no mind. This volatile eccentric’s eyes were currently only focused on his fight with Alucard.

As for Garp and the rest, that could wait until after this battle!

Alucard dodged Kaido’s massive body, then dispersed into bats before reforming on Kaido’s giant shoulder, continuously firing Casull at Kaido’s wounds.

Kaido roared, slamming a fist towards Alucard. Alucard condensed a giant sword from the Blacklight Virus and met the blow. The clash of fist and sword created explosive air currents, snapping surrounding trees and shattering rock faces.

"Looks like they’re planning to wait for us to exhaust ourselves, then swoop in. Even that brute Garp uses such methods."

After several more rounds of fighting Kaido, Alucard glanced at Garp and the others on the mountain from the corner of his eye.

Seeing them completely still, with Garp even sitting on the ground, he understood their objective: to wait until he and Kaido were completely exhausted before making their move.

Alucard turned to Kaido. ’Fine, I’ll deal with you first!’

Garp sat on a mountain peak, though it wasn’t the original one. On the fourth day of Alucard and Kaido’s battle, Kaido, after being struck by an attack, crashed into the mountain range where Garp and his group were, destroying it and forcing the trio to relocate their observation point.

Baizinbur, a colossal island of primeval forest teeming with animals, naturally boasted an immense area. Yet, even such a giant island was half-destroyed by Alucard and Kaido’s battle. It wasn’t until the sixth day that the fighting showed signs of ceasing.

Alucard stood atop a small hill, his crimson coat, shredded by Kaido’s attacks, continuously regenerating. Blood seeped from between his sharp fangs.

On the other side, Kaido was in no better shape; his body was covered in blood, with six severe wounds and two fatal ones, yet his colossal form still exuded an imposing aura.

"How long have they been fighting?" Garp asked, pulling out his last bag of donuts from his black suit.

Kuzan replied, "Counting the pirates’ earlier intel, at least five days and five nights."

Sakazuki, arms crossed, stated, "That kid in red has been hit by Kaido with fatal blows countless times. Normally, he should have died a hundred times over, but for some reason, he just won’t die. What is he?"

Garp, munching on a donut, said, "Yeah... I wonder too... I’ve never seen an ability like that."

Alucard’s body finished regenerating, and he also used up another "revival coin," thinking, ’My remaining stock is only five... A fight with a future Yonko will really drain me...’

Thinking this, Alucard glanced at Garp and the others from the corner of his eye, muttering to himself, ’I originally wanted to save some strength for Garp and them, but it seems that’s not going to happen now.’

With that thought, Alucard suddenly relaxed his hands, pointing his guns at the ground. Kaido’s brow furrowed at the sight. Alucard simply stated, "I’m not fighting anymore."

"What?" Kaido exhaled a cloudy breath, his tone clearly displeased.

"I can’t kill you right now. Besides, I have no intention of letting others reap the rewards." Alucard narrowed his eyes, then gave a sinister smile and nodded his head towards Garp and the others, signaling Kaido to notice them.
