Chapter 262 Ocean Mansion Catches Thief

The shark in the large fish tank had captured everyone's attention: "Daddy, Grandpa, look! It's a Tiger Shark!"

He excitedly pointed at the large shark nearby. Because of the shark's considerable size, the fish tank was also exceptionally large, otherwise, it couldn't accommodate it.

There were quite a few smaller fish in the tank, but they were safe for now, as the Megalodon had just had a good meal.

The Megalodon swam back and forth in the large tank, seemingly the undisputed ruler of the waters.

Places with sharks were always among the most crowded with tourists. After all, sharks were not commonly seen in real life, and their massive bodies were enough to draw spectators.

This was Liu Yifeng's first time seeing a large shark. He had to admit it looked quite imposing, especially when it swam towards him. He couldn't help but feel a little apprehensive, fearing it might break through the tank and swallow him whole.

"A shark's mouth is really big. If someone fell into the water, they'd be gobbled up in an instant!" Liu Chunsheng remarked, looking at the Tiger Shark with its enormous maw.

"This shark's mouth isn't even that big. You haven't seen a Whale Shark; that's a truly gigantic mouth. It could swallow two adults in one gulp," Liu Yifeng recalled some knowledge from his school days.

However, his memory wasn't great, and he had forgotten most of it.

Liu Chunsheng had never seen so many types of fish in his life. Although he sometimes watched nature documentaries, this was his first time seeing such a comprehensive collection, complete with sharks. The fifty-yuan ticket price was indeed worth it.

The three of them spent nearly two hours exploring, covering over a thousand meters and seeing all the fish.

"Tongtong, are you hungry? Should we go out to eat?" Liu Yifeng wasn't hungry himself; he was mainly worried that Tongtong might be.

Tongtong nodded. "Daddy, I've seen everything. Let's go out and eat!"

He was also worried that Daddy and Grandpa might be hungry.

Seeing that Tongtong was also hungry, Liu Yifeng led them out.

Upon exiting, Liu Yifeng felt the outside air was much fresher.

There were simply too many people inside, and even with the ventilation fans running, the air was still rather stuffy.

Just as they were about to find a restaurant nearby, a woman's voice suddenly cried out, "Help! Stop the thief! He stole my wallet!"

Everyone turned towards the sound. They saw a beautiful young woman chasing a man in his thirties.

The man had dark skin, was lean, and ran with remarkable agility.

In his hand, he clutched his prize, clearly the woman's bag, but he showed no intention of returning it. Instead, he ran faster.

Although the woman wasn't wearing high heels, her stamina was clearly no match for the thief's. The distance between them widened, and as she realized she couldn't possibly catch him, she began to pace anxiously.

Liu Yifeng watched as the thief ran towards them. He initially didn't want to get involved.

However, considering his son and father were right beside him, he worried that the thief might bump into them or that they might be called as witnesses. He decided to take action, intending to apprehend the thief and thus eliminate the potential threat.

This was also a good opportunity to test the composite agent Tongtong had developed for him and see if it had any effect.

So, as the thief sprinted towards him, instead of hiding like others, fearing he might be harmed, Liu Yifeng directly extended a leg and tripped the thief. The thief quickly got up and tried to run again.

But Liu Yifeng gave him no chance, easily subduing him.

He wasn't sure how he had managed it, only that he felt incredibly strong. The thief, desperate to escape, even pulled out a knife and lunged towards his chest.

Liu Yifeng quickly grabbed the thief's wrist and squeezed. The thief cried out in pain and released his grip, the fruit knife falling to the ground.

Soon, the thief was apprehended by the arriving park security guards. As he was being led away, the thief shot Liu Yifeng a furious glare, as if to say, "You meddled in my business. You'll pay when I get out."

However, Liu Yifeng paid no mind to his look. If he were afraid, he wouldn't have subdued the thief in front of so many people.

Seeing the thief taken away, Liu Yifeng picked up the bag from the ground, intending to wait for its owner to claim it.

Though he couldn't identify the brand, the bag looked quite expensive.

Since he had already done a good deed, he might as well see it through.

"Daddy, you were so brave just now! Tongtong really admires you!" Tongtong hugged Liu Yifeng's leg.

Being admired by his genius son made Liu Yifeng feel quite pleased. "Tongtong, you're only allowed to admire Daddy from now on, understand?"

Tongtong nodded vigorously. "Okay!"

"Yifeng, although there was a momentary scare and you subdued the thief, you were incredibly reckless. Daring to confront a thief bare-handed, and he had a fruit knife! What if you had accidentally been injured? What would happen to me and Tongtong?" Liu Chunsheng was still shaken.

Liu Yifeng knew he had been a bit too impulsive just now, but fortunately, he was unharmed. Otherwise, it would have been irresponsible to his family.

In the future, if he encountered such a situation, he would avoid it if possible.

"Dad, I was just afraid the thief running wildly might have bumped into you and Tongtong, which is why I thought about subduing him. I promise I won't be so impulsive again."

As he finished speaking, the owner of the stolen bag, panting, ran over.

She looked at the bag in Liu Yifeng's hand and said gratefully, "Sir, thank you for helping me get my bag back!"

Seeing the bag's owner arrive, Liu Yifeng immediately returned it. "Thieves these days are getting more and more cunning. You should be more careful when you're out, especially as a young woman."

Xia Qianqian took the bag. "I'm usually very careful. Today, due to some matters, I was in a bad mood and wasn't paying attention while walking, which is how the thief targeted me.

But regardless, thank you. Otherwise, I'm afraid I wouldn't have recovered this bag.

It's okay if the bag itself is lost; I can buy a new one. But it contains many important items, and losing them would be a real trouble."

"It's good that it wasn't lost. I've returned the bag to you. Just be careful next time. If there's nothing else, we'll be going now," Liu Yifeng said, taking Tongtong's hand as he prepared to leave.

But he was stopped again by the young woman. "Sir, please wait! You've done me a great favor. How can I not show some appreciation?

It's lunchtime now. Would you do me the honor of joining us for a meal?"
