Chapter 361 Tong Tong Takes Care of Things

This surprise was something she absolutely loved.

"What on earth is going on?" Director Wang was still completely bewildered.

Xia Qianqian then looked at the director and explained, "Director Wang, Mr. Liu and Tong Tong know each other. We've even had meals together before. However, I only found out just now that Tong Tong was the one filming the video with me. It's truly too unexpected."

"Is that so? That's quite a coincidence to be grouped together. But that's for the best; you won't need to warm up to each other and can start filming directly."

As soon as he finished speaking, Tong Tong took his injured hand, saying with concern, "Uncle Wang, I'm so sorry. Our Da Hei didn't mean it. Does your hand hurt?"

Director Wang was surprised that this child was so sensible, caring for others at such a young age. His previously unfavorable impression improved. He smiled and shook his head, "It's fine, no pain. Just a minor injury; it'll be better in a few days."

"No, you need to treat this wound, or it might get infected." The impact of Director Wang's fall was quite strong, so the wound was a bit deep. Although the bleeding had stopped, it still looked rather serious.

After speaking, Tong Tong didn't give Director Wang a chance to reply and darted back into the living room, then into a room. Director Wang didn't know what Tong Tong was up to, but he was indeed touched by the child's warmth. Such a young child understood how to care for others, and his tone of voice didn't sound like that of a three-year-old at all. He had initially been skeptical, wondering if Tong Tong had gotten in through connections and would just be eliminated after a brief appearance. After all, in a competition, there were winners and losers, and if Tong Tong were eliminated, the audience wouldn't suspect he had an unfair advantage. Now, it seemed this child was truly extraordinary.

"Director Wang, I'm truly sorry for causing you to get injured. Let's sit in the living room first!" Liu Yifeng gestured for them to enter.

Only then did everyone notice the million-dollar Porsche parked in the yard, which seemed out of place with the house. They began to speculate about what Liu Yifeng did to afford such a car. Director Wang disliked the Porsche because he didn't want it to be featured in the footage. He wanted to create an image of Tong Tong being from a poor family, which would evoke sympathy from the audience and increase his popularity.

In the living room, as soon as Liu Yifeng invited everyone to sit, the cameraman was already focused on his lens, filming. At that moment, Tong Tong came out of the room, holding a small jar of ointment. Since there was no brand name or product label, it looked like an unbranded product.

"Uncle Wang, this is medicine for bruises and sprains. I'll clean your wound with iodine first, then apply this ointment. I guarantee you'll feel much better by tomorrow." Tong Tong walked up to Director Wang. Director Wang couldn't possibly let a child treat his wound. He was about to refuse and ask someone else to do it. But Tong Tong, with nimble movements, took out a cotton swab, dipped it in some iodine, and gently wiped his arm. Director Wang didn't feel the slightest bit of pain and looked at Tong Tong with increasing tenderness. The cameraman captured this scene throughout. After disinfecting, Tong Tong used a clean cotton swab to apply some ointment to the wound. Director Wang didn't expect much from the unbranded ointment for rapid healing; he simply couldn't bear to refuse Tong Tong's kind gesture.

Soon, the wound was treated, and Tong Tong gave instructions: "Uncle Wang, try not to get the wound wet these few days, or it won't heal as quickly."

"Okay, Uncle Wang understands. But how do you know these things? Did your father teach you?" Director Wang asked gently. Tong Tong glanced at Liu Yifeng and then beamed, "Yes, my dad taught me. He said I'm a big boy and need to learn to take care of myself."

"That's very good. At such a young age, you already know how to take care of yourself and others. When my son was your age, he only knew how to play with mud!"

"Let's have breakfast. I'll go to the kitchen and bring it out!" Liu Yifeng said as he headed to the kitchen. Xia Qianqian stood up to help, "I'll help you!"

"No need. How can I let you help? You just sit down," Liu Yifeng turned and refused. But Xia Qianqian followed him into the kitchen anyway, and soon breakfast was served.

"The breakfast is quite simple. Please bear with it. I'll make a more lavish lunch for you all later," Liu Yifeng said.

"Mr. Liu, you're too kind. We're fine with anything. We're mainly here for the daily filming, and being too formal wouldn't be good," Director Wang quickly added. Liu Yifeng nodded with a smile, then looked at the cameraman who was still filming them with his camera, "You should eat too. It won't taste good if it gets cold."

"Don't worry about me. You guys eat first. I can eat later," the cameraman said, intently focused on his lens, afraid of missing any shot. Liu Yifeng was about to say something else when Director Wang intervened, "It's alright, we'll eat first. Xiao Yang will take over from him shortly." Xiao Yang was another cameraman, mainly responsible for editing. He had come along this time to temporarily take over the cameraman's duties. Hearing this, Liu Yifeng didn't press the matter further.

"Are these youtiao homemade or store-bought? They taste very good." Xia Qianqian rarely ate greasy food. But these youtiao looked quite appealing, so she couldn't resist trying one and found they tasted much better than any she had eaten before.

"Auntie Xia, these were all made by my dad. My dad is a fantastic cook."

"I didn't expect Mr. Liu to be such a domestic man!" Xia Qianqian praised Liu Yifeng without reservation. Liu Yifeng smiled modestly, "This is just ordinary skill; it's far from a professional chef's!"

"Mr. Liu, don't be so modest. Due to my work, I often entertain guests at restaurants, and many of them don't taste as refreshing as your simple congee and side dishes," Director Wang also chimed in with praise. Hearing the director's words, the camera zoomed in, focusing on close-ups of the breakfast on the table. Liu Yifeng felt a bit embarrassed by the praise and could only urge them to eat more if they found it delicious.

"Tong Tong, do you attend kindergarten in the early classes?" Director Wang shifted the topic to Tong Tong. Tong Tong was being presented as a child prodigy, so his performance in kindergarten would undoubtedly be exceptional and impress his teachers. Therefore, this could serve as a narrative entry point, allowing more people to see how a genius attends kindergarten. Tong Tong tilted his head and looked at Director Wang with innocent eyes, "I attend the advanced class in preschool. The teacher said it was a waste of time for me to be in the early classes." He said this very seriously.
