The three finished breakfast, and Liu Yifeng immediately drove to the high-speed train station. They arrived just as it was 8:20 AM.
Liu Yifeng called Su Wanru again, asking for her train number so he could pick her up at the correct exit.
After Su Wanru gave him her train information, he, along with Tongtong and Xia Qianqian, entered the station and found the designated exit. The display screen showed that Su Wanru's train had arrived.
Seeing Tongtong's excited expression, Xia Qianqian asked curiously, "Tongtong, do you like Auntie Xia a lot?" She had noticed Tongtong's unusual excitement since breakfast, which was different from how he felt about Sister Xu.
It seemed that this Auntie Xia held more importance in his heart than Sister Xu. Could this be Liu Yifeng's girlfriend?
"Yes, Auntie Xia is very good to me. I like her a lot," Tongtong openly admitted.
Hearing Tongtong's answer, Xia Qianqian felt a pang of sadness. Someone Liu Yifeng would personally drive to pick up, and whom Tongtong liked so much, must be a very important person to this father and son.
Just then, passengers began to emerge from the exit. Su Wanru, however, was the most striking among them.
She wore a fur coat, black tight-fitting jeans, and a beret, complemented by exquisite makeup. Her aura was incredibly powerful.
She looked like a strong, professional woman, exuding an aura of aloofness that kept people at bay.
Many women felt too intimidated to stand near her, fearing they would be completely outshone, appearing like mere green leaves against her vibrant bloom.
Xia Qianqian also spotted Su Wanru immediately, though she didn't realize this was the "Auntie Su" Tongtong had mentioned.
It wasn't until she saw Tongtong excitedly waving at Su Wanru and shouting, "Auntie Su!"
Su Wanru, who had a poker face, broke into a radiant, captivating smile upon seeing Tongtong.
Her smile seemed to outshine the flowers, and many onlookers were mesmerized.
"Is she the Auntie Su that Tongtong mentioned?" Xia Qianqian asked.
Liu Yifeng smiled and nodded, "Yes!"
"She's so beautiful!" Xia Qianqian thought Xu Muqing was already quite pretty, but she didn't expect this Auntie Su to be equally bright and charming, in no way inferior to Xu Muqing.
Now she understood why Liu Yifeng hadn't chosen Xu Muqing; he had someone better by his side.
This Miss Su looked youthful and likely hadn't had children. Any normal man would know how to choose.
"You're not bad-looking either!" Liu Yifeng blurted out unconsciously.
Upon hearing this, Xia Qianqian's heart felt as sweet as if she had eaten honey.
A moment later, Su Wanru emerged through the gate.
The first thing she did was hug Tongtong tightly and plant two kisses on his cheek. "Tongtong, Auntie Su missed you terribly! You've grown taller since I last saw you."
"Auntie Su has also become more beautiful," Tongtong replied.
Su Wanru beamed, "You have such a sweet mouth!"
It was then that she noticed Xia Qianqian beside Liu Yifeng. "You must be Miss Xia, Tongtong's special guest, right?"
She had seen her on television before and remembered her.
She hadn't expected her to accompany them and wondered about her relationship with Liu Yifeng.
Xia Qianqian smiled slightly. "Yes, Miss Su. You see, Tongtong was so excited on the way here! I didn't expect the Auntie Su he talks about to be so beautiful!"
"You are also very beautiful!" Su Wanru said with a smile.
"Alright, let's stop standing around. We should get going. We still have filming to do," Liu Yifeng urged.
The high-speed train station area could get congested, so they needed to leave quickly. If something unexpected happened on the road, like last time, it would delay everyone's progress.
"Okay!" Su Wanru replied. She turned to her secretary, "I've already discussed work matters with you in detail on the train. Just follow my instructions. Call me if anything comes up!"
"Understood, President Su!" the female assistant nodded.
With that, she left the station first. Liu Yifeng then led Su Wanru and the others toward the parking lot.
Tongtong was still in Su Wanru's arms. Fearing she might get tired, Liu Yifeng offered to carry him, but Su Wanru refused. "It's alright, I'm not tired. I finally get to see Tongtong, and I want to spend more time with him. I won't be able to stay with you all this afternoon."
Hearing Su Wanru's words, Xia Qianqian asked nonchalantly, "You two seem to have a very good relationship. How long have you known each other? Are you relatives? Or...?"
Liu Yifeng, without much thought, explained, "We've known each other for almost half a year. We are both business partners and friends!"
"Knowing each other for half a year and getting along so well; I thought you were a couple. But you two make quite a striking pair, truly a match made in heaven!" She asked this to indirectly gauge their relationship level.
Liu Yifeng, being a man, didn't understand such nuances, but Su Wanru, also a woman, was more perceptive and caught the underlying meaning. Xia Qianqian was probing their situation.
As for her own feelings towards Liu Yifeng, she wasn't sure. She didn't dislike him, but she seemed to care about him. Yet, it wasn't romantic love.
However, she deeply cared about Tongtong and was very invested in Liu Yifeng's affairs.
Having never been in a romantic relationship, she couldn't quite define this feeling.
What she was certain of, however, was that Xia Qianqian harbored romantic feelings for Liu Yifeng.
The way Xia Qianqian looked at Liu Yifeng was clearly beyond that of a mere friend.
Therefore, she decided to tease Xia Qianqian and jokingly said, "I also think you two are a great match. Neither of you is married. If you both feel the same way, there's no reason why you shouldn't try to get to know each other better. What do you think, Yifeng!"
Her words were purely meant to tease Xia Qianqian, but they put Liu Yifeng in a difficult spot.
He hesitated, unsure how to answer.
Xia Qianqian, whose attention was entirely focused on Liu Yifeng, wanted to know his response.
If Liu Yifeng agreed, she would give up on him and focus on her work.
If he didn't agree, she would reconsider how to handle her relationship with him while ensuring neither aspect suffered.
Seeing everyone looking at him, Liu Yifeng turned to Tongtong as if seeking help.
It wasn't that he lacked decisiveness, but rather he believed Tongtong, who could see the past and future, would surely know who the person destined to be with him for life was.
If Tongtong nodded, it would mean Su Wanru was the right person, and he could readily accept.
If not, he would politely refuse, saving everyone's time.
However, Tongtong seemed not to notice his plea, offering no response.
"Why aren't you saying anything? Do you think I'm not good enough for you?" Su Wanru asked, feigning displeasure.
Liu Yifeng quickly shook his head, denying it. "No, you are very accomplished. In fact, I feel I'm not good enough for you. It's rare to see someone as young as you achieving such success in your career. It's just that you asked so suddenly, and I wasn't sure if you were joking!"
"I'm not joking. I'm also single, and if you think it's possible, we could certainly try dating!" she said, glancing pointedly at Xia Qianqian.
Xia Qianqian maintained an appearance of nonchalance, but her eyes betrayed her. The nervousness beneath the surface clearly indicated how much she cared about Liu Yifeng's answer.
With the conversation having reached this point, Liu Yifeng had to give an answer. However, in a rather cunning move, he shifted the opportunity to Tongtong, who had deliberately ignored his earlier plea.
"Tongtong has only been back with me for less than a year, and I owe him a lot. So, I haven't really considered my own major life decisions. However, if I were to find someone, I would respect Tongtong's opinion. His liking me is what matters!"
He didn't care if Su Wanru and Xia Qianqian thought he lacked independence by having his child decide such matters. This had always been his perspective. From the very beginning, he intended to find someone who could accept Tongtong and whom Tongtong would accept.
This way, their future life would be free from conflict and unhappiness.
