"It's really dangerous. Those reporters just now were so well-informed. If I had been even a little later, things would have gotten troublesome," Lu Fei exclaimed, admiring his own quick reflexes.
Liu Yifeng, however, was puzzled. "Why did you come over?"
"If I hadn't, you'd still be answering all sorts of questions right now. Your director had notified me that you might have fans coming during this episode and asked me to come rescue you towards the end. Fortunately, I arrived in time."
He then smiled at Liu Yifeng, as if expecting praise.
"Yes, yes, thank you so much for saving someone with such influence." The two were quite evenly matched. Looking at the people surrounding the van outside, he suddenly understood the hardships of being a celebrity.
Lu Fei watched as the crowd chased after the car, not daring to drive too fast.
"These people are really persistent. You don't have that much charm, why are they so smitten with you?" Lu Fei observed that among Liu Yifeng's fans were both men and women, likely true fans waiting for him to finish.
Lu Fei continued to talk, while Liu Yifeng paid him no mind, frowning deeply in the back seat, appearing to dislike the situation immensely.
"Daddy, you're quite famous now?" Tongtong asked with surprise as Liu Yifeng alighted from the van, a curious smile on her lips.
She had often seen Yun Duo'er alight from similar vehicles when she was with her, so seeing Liu Yifeng do the same was quite astonishing.
"What nonsense are you spouting? Daddy isn't famous. Your Uncle Lu Fei is just making a big deal out of nothing," he said, glancing at Lu Fei behind him and giving him a glare.
Lu Fei was speechless. "Fine, fine, I meant well but ended up causing trouble. Next time, I'll just get a little donkey to pick you up. It seems you like the feeling of the wind."
Hearing Lu Fei's words, Tongtong burst into laughter, finding him very amusing.
"Alright, you. I'm tired. You should head home early too. But thank you for today." Liu Yifeng acknowledged that Lu Fei had been of great help.
"Daddy, Tongtong watched your livestream right on time today. You performed so well! I love seeing Daddy in a suit, you really look like a successful entrepreneur!"
Tongtong praised Liu Yifeng generously, and a child's words are often the most honest.
"That's a good girl. But Tongtong, Daddy doesn't really like this feeling. I just wanted to help people and guide those who are lost, but it seems I've also gained some things I dislike."
Tongtong frowned, tilting her small head. "Daddy, you should smile happily. I know you don't like being watched, but these people are doing this because they like you. I suggest you could talk to them about it at the end, maybe they'll listen to you."
Liu Yifeng truly enjoyed confiding in Tongtong. This child not only offered excellent advice but also made him feel warmth.
"Tongtong is such a clever little one. Daddy will definitely take your advice." After speaking, Liu Yifeng fell into contemplation, realizing the matter indeed needed to be resolved.
The next day, Lu Fei arrived at Liu Yifeng's home to pick him up, this time in a regular sedan instead of the conspicuous van.
"I didn't ask you to pick me up today," Liu Yifeng said, looking confused as he saw Lu Fei emerge from the house.
"Do you think I wanted to come? Someone at the company informed me that there are still your admirers downstairs. I was afraid you'd have trouble getting back to the company. Otherwise, do you think I'm eager to pick you up?"
Lu Fei felt it was necessary to pick him up; otherwise, seeing the crowd downstairs would likely ruin his mood for the entire morning.
"Let's go."
Liu Yifeng said nothing, but he could clearly feel that his mood was not good, a palpable sense of gloom hanging in the air.
Lu Fei remained silent throughout the journey, not daring to speak. He glanced at Liu Yifeng, who was still frowning, and swallowed the words he was about to say.
"I'll drive the car directly into the garage, and you can go straight to your office from there." As they passed the people waiting outside, Lu Fei finally voiced his plan.
However, he received no response from Liu Yifeng, who simply followed Lu Fei's suggestion, alighting in the garage and heading to the company.
Lu Fei dared not enter the office for the entire morning, fearing that if Liu Yifeng took out his frustrations on him, it would not end well.
"I know you're feeling upset, but this issue needs to be resolved. You can't have people constantly surrounding you like this. It's not just troublesome for you; it's troublesome for me too."
Finally, Lu Fei couldn't bear it any longer. He went to the office and, with his eyes closed, poured out everything he wanted to say.
"I know. I'm already dealing with it."
Seeing Lu Fei like this, Liu Yifeng found it quite amusing.
"I assume your fans are all downstairs now. Seeing you like this, you must be really anxious. Then why didn't you tell me this morning that you wanted to resolve this matter?"
Liu Yifeng's mood had somewhat improved. In fact, his mood that morning hadn't been that bad, but upon hearing that someone was blocking him again, he simply disliked it.
"No, it's just that I saw you were in such a bad mood this morning, and I didn't want to trigger your temper. I thought it would be better to let you calm down first."
Hearing Liu Yifeng say this, Lu Fei felt much better. It was true that speaking one's mind was essential; otherwise, bottling it up was truly uncomfortable.
"Don't worry, this won't happen again. I've already contacted the director to resolve it."
The first thing Liu Yifeng did upon arriving at the office that morning was to call the director, hoping he could issue a statement in the program's name.
While the statement might not solve everything, he felt it could be somewhat helpful.
As expected, by the afternoon, there were fewer people outside the company. Fortunately, his pursuers were rational fans; if they had been crazy fans, a mere statement would have been unlikely to make them leave.
"It seems your fans are quite rational," Lu Fei said, finally feeling completely relieved as the crowd outside dispersed.
Liu Yifeng didn't speak, merely nodding. It appeared the recent events had occupied his mind, leaving him with little attention for other matters.
As evening approached and it was time for dinner, Liu Yifeng was about to take Tongtong out for a walk when he received a message from Yun Duo'er. She wanted to arrange a meeting, stating there were some things she wished for him to know.
